Sweetie got a maple bacon chicken croissant, I think, and loved it. Well, she said the potato wedges are the best part. I got sausage gravy on a biscuit, because of course. I had low expectations. They were exceeded, by a lot. Thick peppery gravy, big chunks of sausage. I know it was from a jar, or vat, but it was way better than most food-service sausage gravy. The biscuit was dense but not overly heavy, and a good foil for the gravy. Decent portion for the price. I would say nice size for a light breakfast, but it ain't light. Still, plenty for me right then; if you're starving you'll want something more. Prices were reasonable for what we got, in the current era. Easy access. Fast. Good enough that I'd get it again.

Probably the best experience I've ever had at a Subway…read more I used to go all the time. Almost as fast as fast food, and healthier- well, your choice, but if you pile on the veggies it's not bad. Prices were reasonable, most locations the service was good, and of course they were everywhere, and there didn't used to be much competition. Then they dropped my favorite sub, and prices went up, quality went down, service was spotty, and I just stopped going. Sweetie used to love it, and then they changed their turkey or something and she gave it up to. There's more competition, chain competition, too, with better offerings, so on the rare occasions I got a sub that wasn't at a local or pizza place, it was at Jersey Mike's, or very rarely another place at random. Today it was handy, and I have heard their meats are better, and as we pulled up we saw the footlong churro- so we knew K was getting that, if nothing else, because she loves churros. And she said she'd never had a sub before, which might be true, or might be lost in the mists of time. They have a small kid's menu, so she got a ham sub, and picked out her veggies. They even have a shaker of parm, and just that would have won her over. They weren't busy on a Sunday afternoon, and the clerk was super patient and helpful. Took care of her, and put up with me hemming and hawing since I had no idea what to order anymore. I went with their "new" Italian sub. Got home and: it was pretty good. Bread is the same as I remember. Meat was pretty good and piled on. Veggies were fresh (neither of us got tomatoes, they looked plasticky, but the other stuff was fine.) The churro, which he heated up before we left, was big. And a little soft and doughy, but it was probably crispy right after being heated. She liked it. I've finally weaned her off McDonald's. She'll probably want to go to Subway again. And again. I'll have to find a new favorite sub, but they're at least decent, so I should survive. A little pricey, at $11 for two six-inchers, but that's the new reality.

They take Gingerale and add either cherry grape or orange flavoring to it to create their Ohio, Californian, or Florida drink. I was going to get a Cali boy and some loaded tots as well. I pulled into the lot right in front of the car door in the car. Hop must've been eating. He was hunched over so all you could see is his rear end and his back. He wasn't looking out the windows or anything. He was looking towards the floor facing the kitchen. There he stayed for at least two or three minutes. I decided it wasn't worth waiting and didn't feel like beeping my horn so I went to Wendy's I swear the district manager needs to surprise their staff on a regular basis because there is a disconnect from corporate policies down here they walk to the cars rarely run and they just don't pay attention to their lot... And they wonder why their lot is consistently empty This is why On a rear occasion, you will get a really great carhop that's working along with a good kitchen manager and the food is spot on, but unfortunately, it's usually staffed by lazy people who messed up the orders leave out things or flat out. Just don't even care to work like this one did. If you're looking for Swensons, I'd say stick to the Akron based area and avoid all the Columbus locations because rumor has it the staff rotates throughout all of the different locations versus having a regular staff. I think that's part of the problem. It's just really weird how bad it often is and it's disappointing just as often . I should've given it one star But I just really love Swensons and just couldn't do it.
