Tried placing an order for pick up but was told they were only doing "cold" sandwiches because they were getting ready to close ‍

The La Porte location is horrible. First time I went I had to wait for 30 minutes for one kid sandwich. I was the first one in line and other people were sitting and eating. They do not make sandwiches in order of ordering. Four people that ordered behind me got their orders first. I went to counter and they did not acknowledge me so I called out and they said they were working on it. When I went up a man came up and said he had been waiting for his sandwich and all of his coworkers were done eating and he didn't get his sandwich. Manager said he was sorry but when I got back to work I told my coworkers about the service and they said its always like that. I did go back one more time and ordered on line but they don't acknowledge us to pick up sandwich. 1.what they can improve on. cashier to turn in each receipt after EACH order because he takes them all and then gives them to the makers out of order. 2. acknowledge people who are standing there for a long time! read more

I didn't want to give this establishment a star, but in order for me to be able to post my review, I had to give a star. They deserve stars taken away. So disappointed in this place!! I went here on November 11, 2024 for Veteran's Day. It was advertised that they were giving away a free combo meal to Veterans. I had just gotten off work at 3:30pm, yes, Veterans still do work and I drove from Pasadena to LaPorte to get something to eat. There were no customers inside. I noticed a female behind the counter and a young male cleaning the restaurant. Neither of them greeted me as I entered. I thought that was odd. I approached the counter and the female never said a word or looked at me. I had to speak to her first. I asked her if they were still serving the Veteran's Day meals. In her tone (seemed rude to me) she said "No! We stopped serving this morning!" I said "This morning?" She said "Yes! This morning! We had to turn a lot of people away today." I said "are you serious?! I drove all the way from Pasadena! You guys really need to have something on your website that says what time you were going to stop serving." I don't understand how this place opens up in the morning and stops serving in the morning. That does not make sense at all!! This makes me think they don't care about Veterans at all! I am so disappointed in this establishment. Not only did they not greet me when I walked in, the female didn't make eye contact when talking to me. Nor did she show compassion towards me. She could have at least offered a complimentary bag of chips, which I would have declined. Neither said thank you for coming. Nothing. No respect at all. Not even a thank you for your service. I'll never go back to this Firehouse Subs. I hope other Military personnel boycott this establishment as well!! read more

Fast and somewhat accurate. They will handle your orders quickly and make the big changes correctly. They ignore the small changes you place in the app. They added mushrooms to the meatball sandwich and placed it on wheat bread. They ignored the two sandwiches with added black olives, one with the olives to be served separately. They put too much mayo on everything, so I marked light mayo. Nope, still too much. I don't think they changed it. I think they left off the grilled onions, too. Good - the hook and ladder and adding mushrooms to meatball subs. Bad - not paying attention to the orders and too much mayo. Mediocre - the Hawaiian pulled pork and slaw. It sounded great, but that really suffered from too much mayo. read more

Then when I went inside it was my first time trying the place and while I was looking at the menu the cashier told me "Are you gonna order anything or are you just gonna sit there and talk". Quick ordering, very clean. They honored a T-Mobile discount from the app in person although the coupon should have been designed to also work online. The Hook and Ladder sub was only OK, overstuffed with the luncheon meat. The Cajun Chicken sandwich on Wheat Bread was better with a tangy sauce. Ordered my sub online to try the "Rapid Rescue" because waiting in their drive thru is a pain and it was not at all how I made it. It was supposed to already come with mayo, cheese, lettuce, and tomato. It was missing the tomato and most of my addons. I added jalapeno's, bell peppers, cucumbers, deli mustard and sauteed onions....all I got was the few cucumber bits and the smothered onions. Ordered baked cheddar lays and my order stated that they would be in my bag, they were not. I had to pick them out of the very few options that they had in the restaurant. I am not sure why they have poor scores on the food and services. I think the food is great and delicious. The large was definitely enough for me. The cashier Koryn was very friendly and polite. I have never had a issue at this location. I really like how they offer free drinks to all First Responders. They also let you round your purchase up to the nearest dollar and donate that money to local First Responders. I also like all the decorations they have are Fire Service. The city of La Porte does not have a lot of choices when it came to restaurants and I am really glad the Fire House Sub opened up this location here. I would definitely recommend this location and Firehouse Subs to others. That is why I gave them a five star. Keep up the great work and services. read more

The food was amazing. The place was so cute with all of the decorations. The whole setup was good. I loved the cute little bulldog firefighter picture. The workers were arguing. One of the workers I am assuming the manager, he was bickering with the other workers who were doing what they were supposed to. By reading the other reviews I am assuming his name is Shane, he was saying rude things to then like damn (which there was children around), this food purchase is killing us, and since you dropped that piece of bread do..... Work in the serv industry and stopped to grab a quick bite to eat at 2:15pm. No one was at the counter just someone sweeping in the dining area. Waited for a minute then ask are y'all closed. Employee sweeping said no we are not just give a minute. My time is as valuable as this businesse. I understand cleaning up the dining area is important but not the customer waiting at the counter. I do not and will not recommend the LaPorte location. read more

The subs are always really soggy, and it isn't incredibly uncommon for them to mess up our order.

Right away upon entering, we weren't even greeted, placed our order with a not so friendly cashier, waited about 25 minutes and at least four different people walked out with their orders before ours. When I asked where our food was all they said was "oh yeah we were wondering the same thing" how the fuck do you wonder when you're the one who's supposed to be making it. I didn't have an attitude when I asked, yet received one when I asked, as if I had done something wrong. Turns out my ticket never printed & they never placed our order. Been there twice in a two months time frame and on both occasions had to wait over 30 min to get my meal eventhough there were only 2 customers ahead of me. I eat at Firehouse all the time in Sugarland and the sandwiches are always good. But I tried this one today and it was horrible. My sandwich was cold when it is usually hot. They didn't put that much meat on the sandwich it didn't even touch the ends of the bread. They just lost a good customer. I work out here now. read more

They don't make the sandwiches right, put too much sauce, shove all the meat on one side of the sandwich etc, and their Firehouse rewards "isn't working right now" every time I've tried to use it, the customer service is practically nonexistent as well.
