My daughter has Ciliac and her options for Gluten Free fast food are limited. On July 17th my wife ordered a gluten free lunch online and when she arrived at 11am to pick up the order a lady at the counter advised "were ran out of GF bread"! What!?!?! At 11am in the morning??? I realize it's more work to a accommodate people with allergies but this is unacceptable! What made the situation worse is when my wife attempted to get a refund the employee told her she has to request that through the app. Thats's not as easy as it sounds so she politely asked for the employee to just refund her at the store. Reluctantly she did and 3 mins later was told " it will take 7 days to get your refund". Horrible customer service and lazy work ethic by employees will not help retain loyal customers in Keller. We will drive a little further to give our business to restaurants that appreciate all customers, no matter what their dietary needs may be. Do better Firehouse Subs! read more

we came into the store yesterday about 4 pm and asked for two steak subs, one medium and one large. we asked that both sandwiches have toasted buns, which were not. We also asked for mushrooms added to the medium sandwich paid for and did not get. we did get the added lettuce to the large steak sandwich however. we were to far to go back and have the sandwiches remade. We should be ashamed for forgetting this place is located in Keller. The staff are great and the food is always fresh and prepared quickly. I had the small Italian on wheat with no onion or mustard and hubs had a medium Engineer on wheat. His favorite sandwich of any sandwich shop. We split a large coke and we were happy to see they had the fancy coke machine where you can select all kinds of flavors to ad to your drink. Staff welcomed us in and spoke to us as we left and generally seemed happy to be there which was a welcome change. We will be back soon. read more

Typically the counter top tip jars annoy me, but this round up concept did not. Also worth noting is that I did not see a tip jar. So onto the food. I received some coupons in the mail. The idea of a "hot sub" did not really appeal to me, but hey, I've got a coupon. On a first visit I typically go four stars at most, and that would hold for the single Italian sub (Genoa salami, pepperoni, Virginia honey ham, melted provolone, Italian dressing, and seasonings, served Fully Involved. Fully Involved® - Loaded complete with mayo, deli mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a kosher dill pickle on the side.) I dined on yesterday. It was a good sub, and much to my surprise, I liked my hot, via a steamer, sub. And, I have since learned "All of our hot subs are also available served cold. Just ask!" Staff here was very friendly and helpful. With another sub shop in the same strip, it's going to be hard to walk past the "Chili Pepper Relish" at JM's. Though Firehouse does have an impressive collection of hot sauces (see photo), nothing compares to JM's CPR. And, although I tried several, the hot sauce on my Italian sub didn't really work for me, but... Bottom line: When things cool off, I'm looking forward to giving Firehouse's chili a try. Usually a pleasant experience. Staff is friendly. I love the smokehouse beef & cheddar brisket sandwich. The location is great. Very clean. The older employees are amazing. Some of the younger staff making the sandwiches are not good. Had a bad smokehouse beef & cheddar brisket sandwich today. Saw the employee squirt an empty bbq bottle on my sandwich and then wrap it up and gave it to me. It was VERY dry. Especially for a smokehouse beef & cheddar brisket. I have gone to this location of Firehouse subs for years and always ordered the same thing, a medium half pastrami and half roast beef and they always charged me for the steamer. I don't know if they had half as much meat or what but is was always the same price. today I explained this and the guy was ringing it up for $10:69 or whatever the steamer cost and this girl making the sandwiches steps over and says to him you have to do it as a build your own. so total for medium sandwich and chips (No drink) was $16 and change. My husband went to grab us lunch. He waited a very long time for our two sandwiches. When he got home, we realized our order was not correct. I ordered a veggie sandwich. So honestly I don't care what's on it as long as there isn't meat. I do think the website says it will have mushrooms, which it doesn't. But it is still fine. My husband ordered the hero which should have Turkey, ham and roast beef. The sandwich he received was only pastrami. I love the salads at Firehouse. They are filling and fresh. There are three options but I always get the sliced turkey meat with mine. It comes with mozzarellas, tomato, cucumber, and bell peppers. These are all finely diced and put on top. The lettuce is romaine and thankfully no iceberg. There are two vinaigrette options for salad the balsamic and Italian. There are other options but I always opt for vinaigrette. I'm happy there are no crackers or bread served so I'm not tempted. The service here is fast and accurate. Commercial real-estate is not rational some times: why is this new sandwich shop within walking distance of another well-franchised sandwich shop?? Then again, I guess if Sherwin Williams doesn't have the paint color you want, you could walk the same distance to PPG, right next to Firehouse subs... My wife, daughter and I tried this new-to-Keller concept (thank goodness it's not another chicken joint!). On opening day, you could tell that the crew was on fire making sandwiches. I admit I had never been to this concept before - what make it different from (the) other sub places is that most/all? of the subs are served hot. I am not sure who wants a cold meatball or cold pastrami sandwich any way. There are several "popular" selections, but you could customize it any way you want of course. I asked the Owner what his favorite is and he steered me to the Italian with sweet banana peppers. It was delicious and there are at least three other sandwiches I'd like to try. My daughter had a kid's meatball and my wife built her own. A couple of unique things: 1) in the winter you could get a side of chili instead of chips 2) they have quite the selection of salads 3) they ask when you pay if you would like to include $.25 which goes to local First Responders. I didn't look this up, but supposedly Fireman started this concept. This is a nice addition to the Keller fast-food scene. The owners have several other Firehouse's around DFW, so I expect this to be well run. read more

This is my favourite place to get a sandwich. Schlotzsky's and Subways are way too overpriced and their sandwiches aren't half as good as Subways. I will absolutely be returning to this firehouse subs, I didn't know they were so close by. My husband ordered the spicy chicken Cajun sandwich and I ordered the firehouse "hero" sub. I have never ordered a meal at a sandwich place where they offered salad as a side, instead of a cookie, or chips, so that was awesome. I thought that the meat in his sandwich would be super dry, and the wheat bread would be gross, but it was actually quite succulent, and I didn't mind the wheat taste. My Wife and I have ordered sandwiches from the Keller location in the past and have been very happy. However, on Friday April 30, 2021, that all changed. My wife ordered 2 sandwiches on the FireHouse Subs app. . She ordered a Steak & Cheeses sandwich with no pickle and no peppers for herself. She ordered a meatball sandwich for me. I went to the shop to pick up the sandwiches and discovered that they had only made one sandwich. My Wife's Steak and Cheese sandwich was ready to be picked up, but for some reason, my meatball sandwich had not been made!!! So I had to wait an extra 10 minutes or so for that sandwich to be made. Then I left the shop and brought the sandwiches home. My wife opened her sandwich and discovered that her Steak & Cheese had NO CHEESE!!! How the heck do you make a Steak & Cheese sandwich without cheese??? And to top that off, they gave her a pickle after she specifically requested that she did not want the pickle. I ended up eating the pickle, so that was ok. So my wife took the Steak and NO CHEESE sandwich back to the shop and spoke with a young lady and asked her to show her the cheeses in the sandwich. To which she replied, "Oh! I forgot the cheese!" DUH!!! At that point, it appeared that the young lady was just going to put cheese on an already cold sandwich. My wife then requested that a new sandwich be made. Next, a young man said he would make a new sandwich for her. The original order was wheat bread, steak, cheese, onions, no peppers, and no pickle. So they made her a new sandwich and she brought it home. At home, she opened up her sandwich, took a bite and discovered that they had put peppers in her sandwich!!! My wife has a hyper sensitivity to peppers and was very lucky that she did not get sick. At this point she was very frustrated and upset!!! Rightfully so!!! She went back to the shop and tossed the sandwich on the counter and said to the young man who had made the second sandwich, "YOU PUT PEPPERS IN MY SANDWICH!!!" He apologized and offered to make a 3rd sandwich!!! At this point in time, my Wife was so disgusted that she wanted a refund. The young man had to call someone to find out how to process a refund!!! My wife requested to speak with the manager and it turns out it was the same guy who had messed up the 2nd sandwich and was now trying to process the refund. WHAT??? He finally processed the refund and my Wife left the shop never to return. read more

This place use to be good, NOT anymore! I tried for over 30 minutes to place an order using a gift card I purchased as well as paying the rest with my credit card. Their app and their website don't have any place now to enter a gift card, it use to. So I called their store and asked how to use the gift card through their website and the guy on the phone was totally confused and had zero clue what I was even saying. So then he puts the manager on the phone who was equally clueless and zero help! i went back online using their website to try to order and it wouldn't allow me to place an order online and pay in the store! So I call the store again. I get the same guy on the phone again and I tell him I'm placing an order for pickup. He asked me my name. I had to repeat it three times to him. Then he said "we don't have an order for you". I said, you're right you don't, I'm the same guy that's been trying to order now for 30 minutes and I decided to call and place my order over the phone and pay when I come in. I've been to this location over a dozen times and I've seen a steady decline in their food as well as their staff who are totally clueless! It's been awhile so I thought I'd try them again hoping they got better. They def haven't gotten any better and actually gone further south at this location. I started placing my order with this guy and each and every time I said something he made me repeat it. Then he would repeat what I said and had it wrong each and every time. I truly hope the owner of this location cleans house with this guy as well as their manager. She's obviously not doing her job as a manger and training her staff. It's completely ridiculous to spend 30 minutes to order some sandwiches. Which by the way I didn't even make it through the first sub when I gave up on the guy on the phone. It wasn't loud inside their restaurant and I was speaking loud and clear. Why they can't even take an order over the phone is beyond me. Their store rating has gone way down over time as well. I will NOT use this location ever again. It's a huge waste of time to deal wit's any place like this. If I could give NO STARS that's exactly what I do but it doesn't have that option of course. AVOID this location unless you want to waste your time as well as deal with a location that doesn't have the customers best interest. This location should hire a new manager and either train their staff or clean house, what a waste of time with all of this garbage.
