The jalapeño cheddar sausage had a good texture, but flavor wise it was just okay and leaned overly salty without much depth. My side salad was forgotten entirely, and the cornbread, while having decent flavor, was very dry. The burnt ends also missed the mark. Rather than having the bark and caramelized texture you typically expect, they appeared to be stewed in BBQ sauce, leaving them mushy and overly sauced instead of smoky and textured. One bright spot was the BBQ sauce selection. There were several options, and they were tasty with enough variety to complement different meats. Overall, this feels like a place with good potential and a really pleasant setup, particularly the patio. The pizza was overloaded with cheese to the point of excess, and the sauce tasted like it came from a can, lacking freshness. Despite these issues, we ate without complaint at the restaurant. However, after returning home, both of us became quite ill, which raises serious concerns about food safety. Based on this experience, we cannot recommend this restaurant and advise others to exercise caution.
