Really great silent auction in progress with some really cool sports memorabilia.

It's been a while since I've been to this restaurant but I was in the area today and remembered how much I enjoy their meatball sub. In the past I have found the quality of service to be hit or miss but today I found it to be excellent. I was greeted when I arrived and quickly served. The wait for my order was short and the sub absolutely delicious! The restaurant was clean and inviting. I'm glad I'm able to give them a great review today and certainly hope they can maintain a consistency of excellence.

Clean place & friendly staff. My first time visiting and I choose my sandwich and the new york steamer was great. Would try again.

We eat here often while shopping in the area. Altho they may get busy during the lunch rush, the food is always fresh and prepared well. The staff are friendly and helpful.

I really like the subs at Firehouse in general. This location is a recommended "no go". At first my son was given expired milk, almost two months past expiration. Tables were filthy. Sad part is, this isn't the first time we have come to this location and all the tables had trash. We will not be back at this location.

Veggie Sub, with double veggies - best of breed, but that's not saying much!

We decided to pickup lunch here today, and we were very disappointed. We tried the Chili, a Veggie Sub, A Tuna Sub, and a Chicken Salad Sub - total cost of $27.29. These items were ordinary at best, and very bland at worst, and this included the 2 Alarm Chili, which lacked both flavor and heat. But the real kicker was the incredibly small amount of meat and cheese on the Tuna and the Chicken Salad subs. Both subs consistent almost entirely of bread and lettuce, with a very thin layer of meat. Talk about overpriced - the Chicken Salad went for $6.89, the Tuna for $6.09. Obviously, there is no chance of coming back here.

I am not sure how it clearly says NO Mayo in our order and it is so hard NOT to put it on not one but two of our subs!!!! Now these subs are useless to me and that is over $20 wasted because you can not follow my order! I am not willing to drive 20 mins there and 20 mins back and waste gas too!! Thanks for wasting my money and time and I still have to make me something for dinner.

NY Steamer (medium)

I'm giving a 1-star rating ONLY because the store appeared clean and the staff members were friendly. That being said, for the price...specifically the NY Steamer (medium), was high since it lacked quality and a normal amount of meat. Honestly, it felt like there wasn't anything but the roll when we took it out of the bag. I wrote to the location and sent photos of the sub, along with my comments (both positive and negative). I did receive an email back stating: "I just wanted to let you know how sorry we are that your experience was not perfect. We strive at Firehouse to provide delicious subs served with premium meats and cheeses. Your trip to Firehouse was not all that you expected. I hope you will give us another chance to prove to quality and value of Firehouse. Thank you for your time" I wasn't looking for a perfect sub, I'm from the NE...I don't expect it. I do however, expect quality and getting a sub with an amount of meat for the price. I'll post a photo and you can judge for yourself.

Soggy, hardly any ingredients inside, pitiful looking sub.
Nicole M.

New location and very clean which is why I I think it earned its two stars. I couldn't rate it any higher because I waited 17 minutes for my sandwich to be made (and they weren't that busy). It was first time ever to a Firehouse Subs and I asked for some help but very little was explained to me about how to order, options, etc. After I got my sandwich home, I opened it up and it was soggy, fell apart, and had barely any thing in it. I even asked to make sure it would be toasted, I can't imagine it was. I'm disappointed by this experience and it was not worth my money. I'll gladly take my business to Which Wich or Jersey Mikes any day!

Who wouldn't like an authentic Italian market with homemade Italian favorites?…read more The moment you walk through the door, your senses are on overload from the sites and smells of meats, cheeses and the aroma of garlic that make you want to taste everything you see. The gentlemen working there are so handsome and helpful. They were eager to assist and the service is top notch. They get you in and out quickly, without sacrificing quality. Dats what I'm talkin about! Their artichokes look so good. I can't stop thinking about them and am kicking myself in the pants for not getting some. Oh well, I guess that means I'll be forced to go back and get some. Ha! What I did get was the Italian Stallion sub and the Meatball Parm sub. First. Let's talk about the bread. FRESH and slightly crunchy on the outside, with the perfect amount of chewy, and pillowy yet dense on the inside. The BEST bread on a sub that I've found in NC. The Marinara on the sub is authentic Italian marinara with just the right amount of cheese, but those MEATBALLS...I've never had a meatball quite like theirs and they are homemade, delicious with the perfect seasonings. Yum! The Italian Stallion. Absolutely the BEST sandwich I think I've ever eaten. They don't skimp on the meat that's for sure and its QUALITY cold cuts all the way. And the best thing about getting food from here? Their prices. They have kept their prices on the lean side while still keeping their sandwiches fat. Love love love! So what ya gonna do about it? Go back for more! That's what! This is a 100% YES and I will be recommending to everyone.

I have been wanting to try The Bodega for a while now simply because of their delicious food photos…read morefrom Yelp! My husband and I were in downtown Greensboro on a Saturday afternoon and decided to hit this place up for lunch. When they called the place The Bodega, they really mean it's a bodega. It's decked out like a small convenience store from the second you walk in. We ordered our food at the cash register to eat at one of their tables outside. The cashier brought our sandwiches out about 10 minutes after ordering. I ordered the Turkey Caesar. It had turkey, shaved parmesan, marinated cherry tomato, house-made Caesar dressing, onion, and romaine lettuce in an 8" sandwich roll. It was a little pricey at $15, but it was worth the splurge. The dressing and parmesan cheese were unbelievable! Since this is in downtown Greensboro, there is no dedicated parking lot but we easily found street parking nearby. The place has a few tables outside for customers to enjoy their food. If you're looking for a good sandwich, I highly recommend checking The Bodega out.

It's whimsical in decor, lots of seating options with booths, a row of barstool seating, lots of individual table seating, and it's clean. The staff are friendly and eager to help. My food was prepared as I waited and they got it out to me quickly. I ordered mine to go due to another obligation but next time I'm dining in. They have lots of choices on the menu with lots of meats, cheeses, homemade and salads, homemade desserts and so many drinks to choose from. I ordered the Rachel on a Kaiser roll, warm German potato salad red skin potato salad, and a snickerdoodle cookie. The sandwich automatically comes with a pickle spear (the good kind mmmm) and a bag of Utz chips. They thoughtfully wrapped the warm potato salad cup in foil to keep it warm and double wrapped that precious pickle spear so none of its juice could escape...and I appreciate the gesture more than you know. It's called going above and beyond. The sandwich was delicious! Pastrami, sauerkraut, melted Swiss cheese with a slightly sweet Russian dressing mmm. The Kaiser roll tasted fresh. The sandwich unfortunately had to ride in my passenger seat for 30 minutes until I got home and the bread took an unfortunate beating before it met my lips. Nonetheless, it was still a very good sandwich. The warm German potato salad is VERY GOOD. The red skin potato salad is good. The chips were fresh. And the pickle was fresh and crisp and juicy. They have good pickles. I will be back to try more sandwiches, sides and desserts and I recommend.
