The worst Firehouse Subs I've been too! Five workers behind the counter but only one making sandwiches and the other on the register. Waited 35 mins for 2 small subs and a medium. We got 3 smalls instead! Told the young man and he said he would remake the medium but he put it on the end of five other sub orders. Took another 15 minutes. I don't understand, it's got to be an franchise owner problem because I've been to several other locations and they never have an issue.

This location and the fort walton location is sooooo bad! I ordered online hoping to cut my time down, but sadly nope....ordered ahead and still waited 45 minutes for a sandwich that wasn't toasted, soggy and way to much mayonnaise, requested extra pickles and extra lettuce, but neither one was received and had to jump in line again just to get my drink cup, and found out the machine was out of most options and no ice to top it off! There was five people work and look very much like they hated every minute of thier jobs. Sorry to say but this has become the new normal, unless you eat Chick-fil-a when you go out.

Super slow but worth the wait. Place needs to be cleaned up a little better. Busy place at lunchtime

Charged for regular price $9.29 when the deal of the day was $8.49.

Lazy and unapproachable worker but great food. I know this may seem like a Karen move but I don't care because when someone advertises a deal for something and still overcharges in the end. They had a deal of the day for sandwiches for $8.49 but the cashier Bryant charged it for $9.29. I asked if she would match the deal of the day price and she said tax was already included. But I think it was because she was too lazy to change it. So after I received the receipt I saw that there was an additional food tax of .65¢ so the total came out to $9.94 which is more than they're advertising their food for. Ridiculous worker, giving a bad reputation for a great sandwich shop.

I really like firehouse subs. My wife likes it more than I do and has eaten here 3 times for lunch already this week. The staff is very friendly and the place is clean. It's located in between verizon and the vitamin shop. They always steam there meat which I think is what sets firehouse apart from other sub shops. You won't go wrong here if you like firehouse-subs.

We visited The Local Market because we kept hearing they had "the best Cuban in Destin." After…read moreeating there, I honestly do not understand the hype at all. First off, this is not a real Cuban sandwich. The bread was completely wrong. Real Cuban bread, especially if you've ever had one from Ybor City in Tampa, has a very specific texture and press. I even explained before ordering that I only wanted the outside pressed and toasted, while the inside stays cool. That's how an authentic Cuban is made. Instead, they brought out a sandwich that was heated completely through. The meat, cheese, everything inside was hot. It completely ruined the sandwich. When I politely asked about it, the employee seemed irritated and had an attitude about remaking it. They eventually brought another one out, but honestly it still was not good. The bread tasted wrong and the sandwich itself just wasn't enjoyable. It got worse from there. My grandson ordered chicken tenders and fries. The tenders were bad, and the fries tasted like old grease that should have been changed hours earlier. My wife ordered a shredded chicken and cheese sandwich that honestly smelled questionable, like the chicken may have been turning. The final straw was the fruit cup having visible mold growing in it. At that point we lost our appetite and decided to leave. Very disappointing experience overall. Poor food quality, bad execution, and not worth the money. We will not be returning.

Gotta love local!!!…read more Got some pizza here on a week day during our Fl summer vaca b/c we were looking for something locally owened. Got the hawaiian, pepperoni and cheesy bread. All super good! Crust was a thin crust, not too paper thin though, so a nice in between of thin and regular. The cheesy bread was SOOOO good! The cheese on the bread was nice and thick and gooey! A+++ on the cheese bread in my opinion. Great helping of cheese. So if you just want cheesy bread that's light or mid on the cheese I would recommend clarifying your preference b/c they're serious about the CHEESE part of the bread! Called ahead to see what the busiest times are and typical wait times, b/c wasn't sure if we should order assuming longer wait times or if we should wait to order until closer to being ready to be hungry enough for everyone to eat. Called and the gal on the phone was SOOO nice and friendly, advised week day order before 5pm and will be ready within 30 mins. Advised we'll order before 5 and will probably put order online and she asked for my name and advised she'll keep an eye for my name to come through, which I thought was just an extra step of nice courtesy that I wasn't expecting and just thought that was so thoughtful! Was about $90 for two big pizzas and the cheesy bread, but SO worth it. The pizzas were also BIG! So was very happy with the portion sizes. Happy to spend this money for the quality and supporting local owned establishments that put out quality product! I would recommend purchasing here over other franchised chains.

The bagels were high quality, great texture and flavor. It was just so yummy I ended up finishing my bagel and then going back in to get another. The service was awesome. They were so personable, friendly, and helpful. Able to offer suggestions which helps my indecision a great deal. My partner actually became suddenly nauseous and threw up outside in a trash then one of staff was nice enough to come give us a complementary water bottle. Went above and beyond.

As a local and I want to support local businesses when their quality matches (or exceeds) my expectations - no charities! When you walk in, you truly get the sense that you are visiting an authentic bagel place. Big fluffy bagels on the wall. Plenty of smear options. Friendly, attentive staff. Good number of customers inside. I purchased two of the same sandwich for a total of $30 - everything bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese. They both looked identical to the photos I posted (this one was mine). Here's my review... The bagels were hard as if they were "day old" (we purchased at 10am). The eggs appear to be premade. The portion of bacon and cheese was strikingly minimal. A sandwich that cost this much should have the contents flowing out of the bagel as in their examples when you walk in (my opinion). I treasure the money I earn and nothing upsets me more than paying too much for something this bad. I've never paid this much for a similar style bagel at an airport - and it's always better than this. I literally finished the bagel and said to my wife afterward... "that was the most difficult bagel sandwich I've ever eaten". I don't waste food. I don't share these details to be mean or malicious to the owners of this establishment. They just need to do better. As a consumer, I have to make the choices that are best for me and my family. And, when I had a more fulfilling Jersey Mikes sandwich yesterday for $10, it makes it easy to never come back. Please work on your product. Destin needs a good authentic bagel place. You could be it - your only competition is Panera.
