Submitted my mobile order at 10:51, didn't have my order until 11:51.

I normally don't write reviews like this, but the young workers during my visit really left me bothered. I've been coming to this location for a long time and have never had a bad experience until now. On 8/26/25, between 10:50-11:50 AM, it took nearly an hour for just two sandwiches to be made. The young female worker, who showed up late around 11:04 (bringing the total to three employees on shift), came in with an attitude and seemed to take her frustration out on customers. To make matters worse, after waiting an hour, one of the sandwiches was still made incorrectly. On a positive note, I want to thank Michael, the manager, who apologized and handled the situation professionally once he returned from a delivery. It was very clear the staff behaved differently when he was gone compared to when he was present.

This is my first time visiting and i think the last. Honestly I love Firehouse Subs and have been to different locations and I am very regretful on how my experience today at my very own city location was disheartening!! I just came today Tuesday to redeem T-mobile's Tuesdays promotion. My mistake for not checking on how to redeem but the lady behind the counter could have said it with a smile and explain nicely that I have to order on line! Im not sure if the staff today: Tuesday, 11/7/23 @ this hour 3:30 pm, are happy to serve cause of such unprofessional attitude. So i finally figured out how use app and order online. Order will be ready for pick up by 4:15 pm so we waited . By 4:16 I inquired on status of my pick up order, I was rudely directed to read a posted sign that said Online Order Pickup! I misunderstood the sign I read that said third party. I said I was not a third party cause I ordered myself online. Then they checked behind the counter called out my name and said just few more minutes to be ready. Finally got my order at 4:18 without handing out a drinking cup. I wasn't sure where it was located. Another lady handed me a cup. My favorite Meatball sub is what got the stars. The sauce tasted perfectly withe scrumptious meatballs topped with melted cheese served in the toasty bread bun. My hubby liked the hook and ladder sub which had a very generous multiple turkey and ham slices. Love the red chairs and made a very impressive ambience of a fireman's passion. Just hoping on my next visit, staff will have better customer service!

My hook and ladder sandwich was delicious and so was the meatball sub. Service wasn't that great. First time in this location 1550 west valley Blvd in Colton. Reception was very cold. They still entertained our questions but It's like "don't bother me" message we got. Got our order past the 4:15 pick up time placed on line. Place was clean and organized. All gender restroom but need staff to open when needed for use. Still want to come back and try other entries on their menu. Hopefully will have a better reception and service.

    Abs ..

The cashier who took and prepared my order was very sweet and patient with me. I couldn't decide what I wanted to order but she was kind enough to recommended some of her personal favorites subs from the menu. Her name is Alice and she was an absolute sweetheart!!

There are no "public" restrooms... WTH?

We were paying customers who asked if we could use the public restroom. We were told by the manager, "Michael", that the restrooms were "for employees only". When we asked why, we were told that "the manager decided" it would be an "employees only" restroom. There's no way to wash up after eating very messy sandwiches, let alone relieve yourself. We were in this same restaurant not long ago, and the restrooms were still available. WT*?? Messy sandwiches, no public restrooms, and a manager with an "oh well" attitude? Do yourself a HUGE favor, spend your money next door at The Habit. At least THEY have a public restroom. Adios, Firehouse Subs... you've just lost some good customers, and hopefully, many more people will see what you're really all about.

Lovely fresh flowers on the outside of the building, crisp and clean interior, plenty of seating in indoors and outdoors. We chose the covered outdoor section, because of the weather was lovely today. My iced lavender latte was phenomenal, perfectly sweetened. My friend had the iced dirty chai, which she loved, as well. The menu was so vast that we had difficulty choosing what we wanted to eat. I've already determined that I will go back with my husband to try more items! But for today, I ordered the mushroom Swiss Panini, and she ordered the Caprese on a ciabatta bun. We chose these sandwiches already knowing that we would swap a half to be able to try both! We were not disappointed. The bread on the mushroom Swiss was buttery toasted goodness, and cheese to mushroom ratio was just right. The Caprese was warm and savory, and the balsamic onion jam was absolutely delicious. Very pleased with our visit overall!

They make it with love 100%. You could see and taste the care they put into the food-so if you're trying to go in then out, it's not gonna happen, but if you can order ahead-I'd totally recommend that as well. The owner recommended next time to order ahead of time if we are on a time crunch (we wouldn't really be but we had a late start and were going to end up in Vegas about midnight...so i def don't regret going-but like the owner said-ordering ahead of time would had been the move!! . But honestly, when we are back in the area I'll ABSOLUTELY come back-and on our way home-i might just have the hub bring us back through! He had a pastrami and i had a roast beef. Went with sourdough due to yelp reviews- i chose toasted sourdough only, but they will do cold/toasted bread/toasted bread and cheese and fully toasted. It's like how that one sandwich place was-but actually good!! (I can't remember what they were called lol) Anyway, 100% recommend. The 6 inch was a good size for each of us, I'm always down for leftover sandwiches tho. So I'd get the bigger one if i had a fridge to put it in for later!! Looking forward to going again, only thing I'd LOVE is sprouts added. But I'm probably in the minority for that lol

But, aren't these the best places for some food? The menu can be a bit overwhelming if you're new. There are a lot of options. But, to an adept foodie you quickly find what you've been craving. I ordered 3 sandwiches: The Joker & The Thief: -the pastrami is cooked in their Joker sauce. I had it on a toasted French roll. Added mayo with some pickles! I also opted for "The Thief" which is added cubed BBQ Brisket for +2$ dollars! I smacked that thing down in the car so quick. What I mean to say is, I took the first bite and all the flavors came together perfectly. I could not put the sandwich down. I ate the sandwich so fast I may have lost a little oxygen to the brain as I inhaled the sandwich. Now, I'm contemplating how I can come back to order another sandwich one I live 5hrs away. I still have 2 more sandwiches for the ride home. One is the Green Shack sandwich (Turkey, Avo, & Bacon) and a chopped sandwich Don't judge me.... Yeah I'm an under cover BIG BACK. The restaurant has been serving customers since 1956, and you can feel the history the moment you walk through the door. The warm wooden booths, European décor, German beer signs, and cozy atmosphere make you feel like you've stepped into a family restaurant in Germany. I ordered the Jägerschnitzel, served with rich mushroom gravy, traditional German potato salad, and sweet red cabbage. Every bite was delicious, and it paired perfectly with a cold Paulaner beer. What impressed me most wasn't just the food--it was the story. Our waitress told us that when one of their employees was 17 years old, the original owner personally taught him how to make their famous sausages. Today, at 81 years old, he's still there making sausage five days a week. That's over six decades of preserving the same recipes and traditions. When I asked what his favorite sausage was, she smiled and said, the veal sausage. That alone guarantees what I'm ordering next visit. In a world full of chain restaurants, places like Gazzolo's are becoming rare. Family-owned, authentic, and built on generations of craftsmanship. If you appreciate homemade food, old-world hospitality, and restaurants with real history, put Gazzolo's at the top of your list. I'll definitely be back. Next time... the veal sausage.
