This time I tried a potato Latka which was delish and my friend had an equally delish vegetable Latka! Coffee was good - decaf. Service was amazing and friendly. An aging deli that still delivers some of the best food around…read more Centre Street Deli is an older institution of food, being in the Thornhill area for over 35 years. It's been around that long because the food and the prices are that good. I've stopped by here multiple times and always get the Old Fashioned Center Street Special on rye, medium (not lean) with extra meat. I've never been disappointed with this deli, the food is always delicious and tasty, the cuts of meat are fantastic, thick and juicy, and the fries are golden and crisp. It's a good deal for a good portion of food. The service is always friendly, with servers who are attentive, chatty and friendly. My only comment would be that because this Deli has been around for so long (as have I), I remember when I was little and the paint was fresh. But now it's been worn down and it's noticeable from the doorways to the chairs and tables. This staple of Thornhill is still delivering great food, but the restaurant itself needs some love and upkeep. A fresh coat of paint will go a long way. Even the washrooms (while very clean) have a smell to them. I believe it's time to give Centre Street Deli some love and freshen it up a bit for the younger generation.

Lovely gem in the airport past security…read more I was really beginning to hate my life and regret not picking up Wendy's before I went through security when I happened upon this gem. I'm extremely glad I found this place as there doesn't appear to be much available food wise at the airport apart from fast food options like Starbucks. There is booster juice as well but let's be honest that's not a full sit down meal. . I was about to give you and go to Starbucks when I found this place. It's after security near C30 and in addition to all day breakfast serves surprisingly good sandwiches. I settled on the crispy sandwich which came topped with coleslaw and Russian dressing on a tasty and fresh brioche bun. It came served with fries and dripping in pickles and their juices (despite me requesting no pickles). The chicken was an extremely crispy and well seasoned and did its name justice. The fries were nothing to write home about and a bit greasy and room temperature unfortunately. The portion was also extremely tiny. Service was good with my server making suggestions that he thought were better value for money. My dish came in at $23 for example and there was a two piece southern fried chicken meal with veggies option available for $25 so he made this suggestion. I didn't waver though because I'm a huge fan of brioche and I was really happy with my sandwich choice. I almost ordered a second sandwich just for the brioche bun but I couldn't justify paying almost $50 for an average airport meal. This place is off near the c30+ gates and is a nice little oasis with tables set up in 2 and 4 toppers. You also have the option of sitting in the bar or grabbing something to go from the deli counter. I chose to sit and eat alone (as I'm traveling by myself) but this was in no way uncomfortable since I got to enjoy lovely views of planes pulling in and out of the gate out the large window on the far side of the restaurant. Not a bad way to start my trip. Glad I found this place. I'd try it again if I am at the airport and haven't had time to eat before getting here.

They get 3.5 stars. The Reubenesque sandwich was pretty tasty. The smoked meat was pretty good. The Russian sauce was good, though sparse. The fries were decent, though not really fresh. Smoked meat hash was so so. It was kinda mushy & the smoked meat taste was faint. The mustard was pretty good: there're 3 for you to choose from.

The smoked meat sandwich at SumiLicious was amazing. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender,…read morethickly cut, and full of flavour. It was prepared with just enough mustard (you can ask for extra if you want) and stacked high on rye bread. The sandwich exceeded my expectations. When ordering, the staff were very helpful and happily explained the sandwich options and combos. They suggested choosing medium fat for their Montreal smoked meat for first-timers (which I was), so that's what I ordered. Ordering was fast and efficient, though the restaurant is small, with only two sets of tables and counter seating around the perimeter. When we arrived around 1:20 PM on a Sunday, all table seating was occupied, with only a few stools available at one of the counters. After we took our seats, our order was ready within a few minutes. We ordered three Smoked Meat Combos, which included the Montreal smoked meat sandwich, fries (very good--crispy, hot, and fresh), a small container of coleslaw, and a pickle. Would I return? Yes, if I were in the area again. I'm from Mississauga, so it's a bit of a trek. If SumiLicious opened another location in Mississauga, I'd be a regular customer.

But this place has perfected it! Who knew perfectly cooked smoked meat in between slices of untoasted rye bread and a small amount of mustard would be such a dreamy combination. Montreal smoked sandwiches can be found in our very own backyard here at Sumilicious. The poutine is everything you want it to be! Was so impressed with the place, we decided to order a whole turkey for thanksgiving..it was alright, don't think we will be doing that again though. You pay by the pound after the meat has been cooked so it shrinks in size but still ends up being quite expensive. But I will stay the staff care so much about their products. They take great pride in what they make from the smoked meat to the turkey. Upon picking up the turkey, took the time to give me specific care instructions on how to store and reheat the bird. Come check out Sumilicious.
