I initially gave this place a good rating when I bought the used car. The office staff was really friendly and helpful, and the price was reasonable. There were no obvious outside defects on the car, and I took the car to a mechanic before purchasing it. The mechanic showed me a leaking shock and brake pads that needed to be replaced. I understood that this was a used car that would probably need some repair, and I was OK with that. However, I was really disappointed when after 4 or 5 car washes, the exterior paint had been revealed with TONS of faded spots (original paint was black, faded spots were silver/white). The spots were all over the hood and on the sides of the vehicle. They were extremely noticeable and were several inches in diameter. Firehouse Auto essentially used some sort of black polish to cover the spots so that the car would look perfect on the exterior. I totally understand a good wash and wax before you put the car on the dealer's lot, but to knowingly cover VERY FADED exterior paint spots is just dishonest. I would never have purchased the car the way that it looked after the car washes revealed the large, numerous faded paint spots. EDIT: the 4-5 washings that happened were within a month or two after we bought the car. The fading of the paint happened very quickly and did not just happen a year after we bought the car like the business owner implied in his response to my Google review. We moved out of state within that month of buying the car, so it was not practical to go back and talk to the owner of the business. He is correct that the car did not have those spots when I bought it, hence my frustration when they appeared a month after it was purchased and washed 4-5 times. I am doing the review a year later because a relative asked me about the faded spots on my car when they saw it. This prompted me to write this post. read more

Just wanted to take a moment to thank Firehouse Auto Sales, especially my new friend Flo, for helping me out in finding my dream car here in Texas. I moved from NY to Dallas in January to pursue my career as a PA in orthopedic trauma surgery and absolutely love it. Firehouse Auto Sales is great! We had searched on the web for the vehicle we wanted and found several in the Utah County area. We checked out one a few miles away but didn't feel like it was the right one especially when we were told that we could only get the advertised price IF we financed through that particular dealership. We looked some more and found an upgraded model at Firehouse Auto Sales for the same price as the first vehicle we had looked at and Amber said that the price would not change whether we paid cash or if we found financing for it. What a relief! No bait and switch tactics here! We wanted to take it for a drive and it didn't start right up so Amber jumped it and said that if we decided that we liked it, she would put a new battery in it. No pressure sales at all. She was helpful and easy to work with. We couldn't be happier. The car is clean and runs great! They are fair, honest and straightforward with the buyer. This was the best auto buying experience we have ever had. We drove an hour and a half with a lot of skepticism over the low price that was advertised. Not only was it accurate with no hidden surprises but approximately $5000-6000 lower than any comparable vehicle in the country. The car was immaculate and basically brand new for a lower than used price. We had a trade and were given a very fair amount for it as well. The owner as well as the staff were very friendly and not pushy at all. We never felt any pressure while there. As we looked around the lot, we noticed that they were only selling very nice looking used cars at very reasonable prices. Looking for our daughter's first car, we weren't out to spend a lot of money because we aren't entirely sure if the car will survive our daughter. I flew in from Billings Mt to Salt Lake and there was somebody at the airport waiting to pick me up with the vehicle I wanted to buy. I was very specific I didn't want a repaired vehicle or one that had any pdr (paintless dent repair) done due to hail.
