One of the heat sinks on my motherboard fell off and I took my computer here to see if it could be fixed. This is something I could have done myself easily but I'm plain lazy. The turnaround was in 24 hours and I was charged the diagnostic rate for the complete job. When I returned home, I had issues with my second HDD not being recognized, so I opened my case to resit the SATA cables, and to my surprise, it got a thorough cleaning and a proper cable management job. The person who worked on my computer obviously did more than the bare minimum, which was awesome. If you need computer repair services, I would definitely recommend this place. I especially recommend this place if you know nothing about technology because I trust them enough to not upsell me junk I don't need. Like I said, I could have done this job myself, but they didn't know that! Here my review after really giving this place a chance . I have been in this store several times to buy a charger and small purchases . I was thrill when they open in my area ,so I would not have to take my apple computer to apple or Best Buy . First of all thanks Seth , for really trying to help the one time you did about a week ago .I took my apple MacBook Pro into have a Diagnostic. which was 59.95 . There was really not much going on with the computer it's just a older computer and I have it for nine years. I thought maybe it was running a little slow maybe. And just to have it looked over. They called me and said they think they need to clean it out and take away some of the viruses that showed up in the diagnostic. . Now at least thought maybe they would've taken off the 59.95 seeing how I am now paying $200 more. Most places do take off the diagnostic if you are doing further repair . But I didn't ask and they didn't offer. And I thought they seem like a Replicable place that was going to do a good job . I didn't really know what to expect when I got my computer back . I wasn't really have any big issues before taking it in?it's just a nine year old computer. Yes I thought the price was pretty high, but the computer was already there I . agree to do it ... now thinking back. I feel like as a woman I wasn't given the best price . So several days after that, I was trying to go on a worksite. That I normally use Chrome . My chrome was was on my computer and I think they should have just reloaded chrome for me when they gave me my computer back. They said clean the computer out and remove any viruses . Now I don't really know what that means when you cleaned out the computer? I guess that's my fault. I'm not all that tech savvy. I don't use a computer for work, I just use it outside of work but I do have training on my computer from time to time. No my big issue involves my work site page when I tried to go into the training page there is a pop-up saying this may not be private and I can't get around it. Obviously this has to do with my cookies. Now my job says that there's nothing going on with their end . It was my computer blocking the website . I have had the same computer for nine years and I've been with my company for 32 years. I called and asked if I can bring it in if they can tell me how to get around this warning . Seth was nice enough to look at the computer which took all of five minutes. He said I just needed to close out of it and he did something but I didn't see what you did. But when I went back into my work site a week later the same warning showed up and I could not remove it. It has to do with my cookies. I don't know where to enable this ,I can't find it and I don't know why my settings have changed. So I took it in just 30 minutes ago. Dustin the assistant manager was there. Alex who works at front area and knows nothing about Apple computers. Told Dustin about the issue and that Seth help with me last time.,This is a really simple thing and probably take five minutes for them to show me what I need to do. Dustin the assistant manager said he was busy that he did not have time and Seth who did it before would have to do it. Now I really think that's poor customer service. The thing that makes me really angry is I just paid $250.00 and Dustin the system manager could not give me even three minutes of his time. Had I known that I would have never taken my computer here. And I was thinking to even buy a desktop Apple computer that I have been looking at every time I go in there. I don't know if they're just unaware or Or just don't care. But that is not the way you treat your customers and if you want repeat business from people. Took my cracked Apple Watch (series 2) for them to replace the screen and they agreed for $200. Went 2 days later to pick up worked fine. I work in healthcare I wash my hands many times a day while at work and of coarse the watch gets splashed with water. One day I washed my hands the it went off and wouldn't turn back on and I left it sitting for a few days thinking maybe it got wet inside. Tried charging it 2 days later and it only got hot and never turned back on. I took it back to the store and was told for the first time ever it was no longer water proof after screen replacement and refused to do anything for me. I offered to let them have the watch if they give me my money back or fix their mistake and they refused both. So I have a watch that is water damaged now because they never said it wasn't water resistant any longer. This all happened within 30 days of the repair. After doing business with Firefold at their previous location for many years and having great experiences with them for providing cables, connections, etc., I discovered their true business philosophy when I had them perform work on a I-Phone. Reese, who was the manager at the time, replaced a cracked screen on my I-Phone 5S, but inadvertently broke the cable on the home button. He admitted this when I came to pick up the phone and had installed another button that did not have fingerprint functionality. He asked me to bring it back in a week for him to fix and he would order parts. When he replaced the button again a week later, it still would not work. He told me to take it to Apple. I drove it to Apple who refused to work on it because I had allowed Firefold to work on it. When I went back to Firefold they told me there was nothing they could do. They charged me $119.00 to fix my screen and in the process broke my home button and then refused to do anything at all. No credit, no refund, no anything. The statement I got was "If you had brought it back to us sooner, we could have done something." The time between visits had nothing to do with the fact that they charged me to fix my phone and broke it in the process.
