We have gone to this park several times now and have thoroughly enjoyed every visit because there's something new to explore each time. I remember there were talks to turn the pool into a skate park. At the end, they city decided to go with a splash park. Around the splash park, there are tennis courts, tables and grills, baseball fields, playgrounds, walking trails and open fields for picnics or a quick game of touch football/soccer. There are plenty of trash cans around and the restrooms are usually clean. The weekends during the warmer months are pretty crowded as it's available on a first-come-first-serve-basis. I'm not sure if you can reserve the park, but there is a number available on their website. Best of all, this park is free!!! Great fun for the entire family!

Just being able to hear the water waves, and seeing the sun glistening against the water is a tranquil vibe. On the some weekends there are people giving birthday parties or barbecuing at the Barbecue Grills. There is a Fishing Pier, Parking lot area, Pavilions (Small), Picnic Tables, a Playground where my kids play and swing, a Sand Volleyball Court, Trails for Hiking / Biking. I enjoy the peace and convenience of the view to walk around the lakeside in a calm setting.

In short, it is a great neighborhood park in the 75094 zip code area. It was updated and improved in 2010. The park has a brick gazebo pavilion with four 8-foot long picnic tables, a large BBQ grill and electric outlets. Be sure to check out the shaded playground area, sandy volleyball court, drinking water fountain, 31 trees, basketball court and lots of benches scattered around and one picnic table by the volleyball court. For dog walkers like myself, bikers, joggers and fur baby owners there is a 0.2 mile cement trail loop for lots of fun and exercise. Thinking about moving to the Aviary Subdivision in Murphy, Texas? Then be sure to check out your local Aviary Neighborhood Park to seal the deal. What a nice five acre neighborhood park.
