Great service all around…read more They mostly sell and service fire extinguishers but they also sell and/or service lots of other equipment including fire alarm systems & fire sprinkler systems (both of which they install as well), they service the tanks for welding, tanks for paintballing, and more. My husband called them up one Monday morning needing a couple paintball tanks hydrotested. When all the other guys offer a one week turn around, Nick got them tested in about an hour. Cost was $20/ea. My understanding is that he only does them on Monday mornings but you should call ahead. Nick is a really nice guy. He explained what we was doing as he did it (removing the heads off each tank) or he explained going to do and how long it would take. He called me up as soon as he was done. He even cautiously put them in my car so they wouldn't roll around, giving the inspection labels time to fully dry.

This past summer (2025), my husband needed SRFE's services for that panel and because of my Yelp review they refused us service. We had to break into the set up and then start from scratch with a new service provider. TODAY 12/10/25 I received an email. "Our goal is always to ensure past customers remain satisfied and compliant with safety requirements. If there's anything you need or if you'd like us to provide services again, we'd be happy to help." ACTIONS SPEAK FAR LOUDER THAN YOUR WORDS SRFE! You have made it VERY clear that you never want to provide service to us again so we have decided you are not a company that we will ever give business to again. Bay Cities was the low bid and came recommended from friend that built his custom home prior to my losing my home. When my framer saw the bid he told me to sign it immediately and send it back for scheduling. Bay Cities pulled permits, installed, and had inspection without any effort on my part. The only thing I needed to do was schedule their crew and they were very accommodating in when they would come out. I pushed them off on two occasions as my build was not on schedule. They readily rescheduled. After install and California Department of Fire passing the project, I needed to reduce the head extensions prior to the application of insulation. They sent someone the next day to accommodate me and have the modifications completed prior to insulation. This really has been one of the best choices I've made in this project. I recommend these guys 100%.

Anyway we called around and have several fire protection companies come over and gave estimates they were all very professional however Todd and Barry from McCoy fire protection Inc really stood out from all of them. They were very knowledgeable gave me a full understanding on what to expect and how they were going to approach this project (total 47 new sprinklers needed to be switched out). To my surprise the price they quoted me were a lot lower than all others in the area of too good to be true but we decided to use them and they did a wonderful job! Very professional and really know what they are doing. Turns out the existing sprinklers were pain in the butt to take out and they needed to drill holes around it anyway a one day job turned to a two day job and once they pick up the pace it was done in about a day and half. Overall I had a great experience with them Todd Christ and Barry all very nice people. They were honest and I would recommend McCoy Fire Protection to everyone out there who needs their sprinklers replaced. Good job guys!

I made it crystal clear that this was a RESIDENTIAL application. Joseph indicated no problem, they could absolutely handle it. I made 2 appointments...the first to deactivate the system and to repair the leak, and the second to return 24 hours later to re-activate it. I took 2 days off work, moved several cars so they could have access to the ceiling, and scheduled a contractor to repair the ceiling hole access afterwards. When the day of the appointment rolled around, I received a text from Joseph 15 minutes AFTER the appointed time, saying that they were not coming to do the job. Apparently they were not insured for residential work after all. He did take ownership of the mistake, for which I will give him credit.
