My brother and I grew up shooting and hunting with our dad and it's something we have been wanting…read moreto do again for years, but we lost our dad in 2018 and even though our dad had handguns, shotguns and rifles, we mainly only shot rifles when we were hunting with our dad and bb and pellet handguns. We were a little nervous to shoot a handgun for the first time and without our dad to teach us the right way. Most gun ranges that we have looked at seem very right wing and judgemental and like we didn't belong. So we thought we would never find a place where we felt safe to shoot. We checked out GUNSMOKE Firearms because a guy at a sporting goods store we were at recommended them because he shoots there. So we decided to go take a look and see what we thought. We also just sold some of dad's old guns and have been looking to purchase a new gun each for protection. We got to GunSmoke with the intention of just looking in the store, looking at the guns and finding out more about the shooting range. There was no right wing branded signs everywhere, the people were super friendly and nice. We told them that we had never really shot handguns, but grew up hunting and using different guns with our dad but we have been wanting to find a shooting range to shoot at. They were so kind and friendly, they told us we could shoot that very day if we wanted and they showed us everything we needed to know about shooting a handgun, where the safety was, how to load the gun, how to hold our hands, how to stand, it made us feel like our dad was there with us. We felt so comfortable we ended up shooting for over an hour. Their prices are some of the best we have found anywhere and we have done our research. They let you rent guns you want to try there. So even though it's a little over an hour away from our house, we loved it and will be back regularly. Thank you GUNSMOKE for giving us this safe place to shoot and feel closer to our dad even though he isn't still here with us.

We resell at our Church Consignment Sale (on season, so there is a little bit of storing) BUT its worth it to me. We have bought our Dicks Sporting Goods (DSG) cleats and shin guards for soccer in the Fall. Recently we came here for a t-ball batting helmet. Man, I know NOTHING about baseball/t-ball and really nothing about batting helmets. One of the employees saw me struggling with a 4 year old and came over. (I forgot his name) Super helpful and we left with a batting helmet, chin strap and a ball...$27. So when I say reliable and convenient...yes we will continue coming here for our sports equipment.

Was there today from about 3:00 to 3:40. Walked the entire store without seeing even one employee…read moreon the sales floor. (There were 3 or 4 employees at the front checkout although there were only 2 customers checking out.) Encountered an employee coming out of a back room who addressed me and asked if she could help. She was obviously new and didn't know where to find the product, so she located another employee who was on a ladder working on a display and asked where we could find the product. The employee on the ladder told the new employee who was helping me that she was "busy" and couldn't help. While we continued to look, I did locate the product I was looking for by accident. The product was hung on an unlabeled hook and had no price tag on the product. I did ask to speak with a manager and was approached by two males who did apologize but spent much more time making excuses (understaffed, time of day, slow time of the year and others). To be clear, the store was not busy but there were customers, but none were approached by an employee while I was there. After speaking with the "managers" I did not purchase the product as I would rather spend my money at a store with customer service and solid management.
