Their thoughtfully curated menu may be compact, but it offers a great variety--from fresh salads and wood-fired pizzas to steaks, seafood, and chicken dishes--so there's truly something for everyone. The drink menu is just as fun, with creative cocktails named after iconic songs and music titles, adding a unique touch to the experience. We started with oysters (special), pear arugula salad then ordered main course- I walleye (special) and shrimp risotto. Everything was excellent. It's worth mentioning that the portions are generous enough to leave you satisfied without being overwhelming, making it easy to enjoy an appetizer, entrée, or dessert without feeling overstuffed.

It's very peaceful, romantic and a calm atmosphere. All of the food was delicious. The plating is so attractive! The dishes have great flavor but are healthier options. The portion sizes were perfect for what we desired. I'm not exaggerating when I say this was the best branzino I've ever had. The skin was crunchy and delicious. But the fish was not dry at all! There's nothing better than a juicy branzino fish and chef Jose nailed it! Matching with the sauce and beans was so much better than any other veggies or starch. The octopus was also cooked to perfection. The flavor and temperature was just right. Not too hot and such a great texture. We don't always order desserts but we had to see every course of the menu. We decided to go with a lava cake and it did not disappoint. It had that perfect contrast of hot and cold but it's served with gelato which gives it a nice touch of texture compared to standard ice cream. Chef Jose came out and introduced himself. We came in because we were enticed by a beef tartare that was on their menu in the past. We're hoping he brings it back on a special sometime soon. He said to give him a call and he'll try to accommodate whenever possible to make his customers happy. What an amazing restaurant. We cannot wait to come back and see what's new. Thank you for an amazing dinner and night!

There's board games. Coming in it wasn't that crazy. It's quieter than the other places at breakfast that are around here. There's long tables if not able to get a booth so it wasn't like we had to wait. Order at the counter in front. There's not a whole lot to choose from which makes it easier to pick stuff. It's about $5 to get a latte. The Cookie Butter Latte was as great as it sounded. It's made with cinnamon, cookie butter syrup, and espresso. There's only a few pastries. It's about $5 to get a muffin. There were a few vegan choices including the Chocolate Muffin which was a big one. Have to say it's a great place for chilling. It's got an opening to the store so you can get beers after getting coffee and pastries. This is conveniently located across the street from the Metra station.

I'm a sucker for a good coffee shop with fun flavored lattes. I'm also a sucker for cute atmospheres. So when you pair a great coffee shop with a board game cafe, how can you go wrong? Off the Wall is a cute storefront that is a branch off their establishment next door serving craft beer. I would often go to Off the Wall mid day throughout the week, and each time I go I'm shocked that it's not filled with remote workers and families. The staff are all pleasant and more than happy to provide recommendations if you feel stuck deciding what you want to order. With a variety of beverages, food, and even gluten free pastries (a win in my book!) you really can't go wrong with any choice. I always opted for coffee, and I really loved their specialty flavor this month featuring banana and caramel. The flavors aren't overpowering and aren't overly sweet, so for a coffee lover that actually likes the taste of coffee this is perfect. Their board game selection is vast and the interior of here is so cozy, I could stay for hours. Did I also mention they're wheelchair accessible? That's right - there's a wheelchair ramp and wide spacing to ensure everyone can enjoy their experience here. Can't wait to try their next fun coffee flavor!

Beer On The Wall has a few locations around. Here it has quite a bit to choose from. The prices are pretty high to be honest. Beers are the main things of course. There's also a few from other countries such as Germany. Big selection and prices are also big. It's about $10 a pint. Certainly would have gotten more if not for it being crazy. It's got limited food like $2 for bags of potato chips or pretzels. Also they have lots of community events. There's things like live music. For sure there's a lot to choose from. Absolutely adore this place for the happy hour…read more 3-5:30 happy hour offering a good selection of wines, mostly red. Appetizers and other items available for a reduced priced too. I believe appetizers were 10 per item and wines were 8 per glass. Considering how much I enjoy every one of their reds (full price can by around 50% more, so ~13/glass) is reasonable. I've a big fan of the shiraz and being able to get it with a reduced price is a big plus. Spacious back room if you're interested in hosting events and they are easy to get a hold of. Family bathroom has a baby changing table, but it is broken so it drops down a bit too far (please fix this) Overall prices are okay if you plan on coming for special occasions, but happy hour will keep you back more consistently. It was before 6pm so we were able to find a seat. I think they have seats for only 25 people so prepare to stand when it gets busy. Our bartender was Edward and he was really nice. I ordered a Tiramisu Martini and then a Porn Star Martini. They were both good, but I preferred the Porn Star one. We also ordered a Smash Burger, which was actually from Holt's, connected to this bar. That burger was tasty - brioche bun & onions = yum. The chips it came with were crunchy. The Bacon popcorn was good but way too salty for me. Im glad we found this little bar and plan on coming back in the future.

I disagree--I am a Chicago boy and it has a big city hidden gem quality about it. In fact, they promote themselves as a speakeasy. Of course you can get any cocktail you want, but my husband and I both opted for a special strawberry cocktail made with Hendrick's gin. It was refreshing, not too sweet, and garnished with a dehydrated lemon slice. Perfect! Our friends both ordered old fashioned cocktails that looked equally as good. It was a Saturday night and this tiny bar was jam-packed. We had to stand, but it was okay because we had only stopped in for one drink before heading to another restaurant for dinner. The bartenders were friendly and efficient. Prices are not inexpensive, but average to what you'd find in a downtown Chicago restaurant.
