If you plan to bring children (which is likely, painting pottery is for kids)...go somewhere else! I should have read the reviews before taking my boys this evening. Every thing we experienced is in other's reviews and apparently the manager and owner just offer excuses. SO BUMMED that with their great location on the Plaza, they ended up being unprofessional, rude, overpriced and not kid-friendly! The overall vibe is dry, creepy and uncomfortable-No A/C and the staff are extremely rude, awkward and should not be working with customers. They don't explain where the restrooms are and were not helpful when we needed extra supplies. The young teen boy working the desk watched my 6 year old like a hawk and would rush to the table and tell him to not use so much paint anytime he squeezed literally ONE extra drop of paint in his tray than he thought he should. You never reprimand a child, that is the parent's job. And absolutely inappropriate when the child isn't doing anything wrong! I have never felt so nickel and dimed over literally a SQUEEZE of paint, especially when paying $25 for small items? Very unprofessional and the worker continued to do so after I asked him not to and addressed he was not using too much paint as we were sharing the colors. See photo-this is absolutely not too much paint to use for 2 people! Appalling way to treat customers. My son accidentally knocked into a shelf (which is easy to do, there is no walking room everything is stuffed in super tight and uncomfortably) and the manager let out a huge sigh and rolled her eyes. I immediately told her that her behavior was inappropriate and he did nothing wrong, however he was already shamed by her and got upset and embarrassed. I asked to speak to the manager which happened to be the same woman and I told her how unimpressed I was with our service and treatment. She offered no apology and burst into tears and said her grandparents are dying and she literally ran to the bathroom and slammed the door shut and never left the entire time we were there (another 30 minutes). No resolution of any kind was offered - she literally hid from us! So I paid my $70(!) ticket and got the owner's contact information, however, based on other reviews, I doubt it will help! read more

NOT CHILD FRIENDLY! NOT MOM FRIENDLY! Maybe, not even human friendly! Dawn asked me to pay her power bill, not fold a sponge and don't you dare leave her paint brushes in water... Only a dab of paint in the circle- which is understandable as Dawn just paid for all our paint. went to paint ceramics with my mother and daughter and the owner of fire and ice screamed at my daughter and expected me to allow her to correct my daughter with negativity and hatred. I don't believe that anybody should own a paint store that cannot handle children. I felt very uncomfortable as Dawn was very unprofessional and her approach to handle a six-year-old. There are just some people that should never be around children because they're abusive verbally and I can see that very clearly with this woman. Having the audacity to tell me that I'm a bad mother was not a smack in the face because I know who I am.. I know where I'm going.. and I know what I stand for.. I won't allow anyone to abuse my child especially some ragged worn out women. Thank I hope your satisfaction in screaming at me was worth it Dawn because your still loved by Jesus! Hope he works on your heart! Love you Dawn and I'll be praying extra hard for you! A lot more love and less negativity especially treating Idaho Natives awful. Get some rest, you need it. Wonderful local art studio! Deserves a much higher overall rating than 2.5 stars! The owner, Dawn, is very personable, knowledgeable and helpful. They have such a large stock of ceramic figures and dishes to choose from! There are also a variety of different project options using different mediums to choose from. One of my mom's and my "go to" spots to relax, chat and paint. Her staff, Loraine, is very sweet and friendly, with lots of tips and tricks to help with painting those detailed projects. They have binders filled with stencils and patterns to help you to design just the piece you want. Completed projects are always done on or before one week from their completion day. this place had such an unwelcoming energy. the ladies that work here were so unfriendly and honestly felt like strict librarians... not ideal for the chill evening we were looking for. they also didn't have that many paints and ceramic pieces to choose from. worst pottery paint shop i've ever been to. wouldn't recommend to a friend : ( they were also unwelcoming when i picked up our pieces. never a smile. just corrections and judgement. read more

When we arrived, we were the only customers. I asked for a table away from front door as my son has sensory issues. The owner said no other tables were available so we sat by the front door. As several more people came in they sat wherever that wanted. The owner isn't very friendly, not a very inviting or comfortable environment. We won't return. I prefer puffy Mondaes. read more

My 3 kids were so excited to paint and have some fun. Well I had no idea we were walking into the worst kid friendly business. When I say 2 of them left in TEARs, that is exactly what happened! The owner was so rude to the poor girl that worked there, she yelled at her in front of my entire family (so awkward). My 2 year old ripped a piece of a 10 year old sponges she yells STOP, he looks at me and just starts crying. I told her I'll pay for it, but why are you treating my kids like this? We stopped what we were doing I paid 100.00 and walked out not ever finishing. I thought to myself I'm never coming back here, so I went back asked the young if she could just pack our things up. I told the owner, I read your other review and saw how many other children have left your business crying. It so sad to that this women treats young small kids like this, please be aware moms.
