Rented a 20-foot box truck and returned it without hitting anything. I was careful the entire time…read moreand even paid extra for U-Haul's insurance for peace of mind. After drop-off, they claimed there were cuts in the passenger-side tires. I never went off-road, but they still voided part of my insurance, saying the damage was from "off-road use" -- which simply didn't happen. To make it worse, they reviewed camera footage but couldn't see the passenger side, so they just blamed me by default. Completely unfair and frustrating. If you're renting from U-Haul, take detailed photos of every side of the truck before and after use. Otherwise, they might hit you with damage charges you can't disprove. I'll never rent from them again.

They told my husband they were sorry he had to be married to someone like me after I called them out for being a terrible company. They refused to fix my furnace two weeks after servicing it because I "hadn't ordered oil in awhile" and they thought ordering oil would fix it. I would never recommend them.

I had such a positive experience with Jared at the Hampden branch of R.H. Foster today…read more After getting extremely faint whiffs of propane around the home I recently purchased (others couldn't smell it at all), I finally called today, simply to ask some questions about it. I am financially struggling right now, so I was hesitant to have them come out in case I was imagining it. The smell really was that faint. I spoke to Jared, asked my questions, and he picked up on how stressed out I was about it right away. He was compassionate with my situation, explained the process, what the billing would look like (less than I thought!), and explained how important it is to trust your gut when it comes to propane. So, I had them come out and I'm so glad I did. They found multiple small leaks in the line to my water heater and also discovered that the previous owners used the wrong regulator when they did a DIY conversion from an oil to a propane furnace. Thank you, Jared!!!!

They do not deliver to remote areas after about 1 October. I stopped using RH because I need new 100 gallon propane tanks and theirs were twice as expensive as a competitor in Hermon.

I was treated like a fool and was talked about repeatedly from one coworker to the other, yet I was never addressed I could hear them taking about Me.. I said I am that customer and I don't like you talking about me, your making me feel uncomfortable... the deli clerk raised her voice and was speaking to another co-worker who couldn't resist the drama...I again Said I am right here I can hear you! When you need a new stove delivered in Greenville, ME, your limited to a very few options, Lowe's…read moreBangor being one of them. I found the stove online and called to place the order so I could discuss delivery specifics. I spoke to customer service, but they couldn't take my order, so I needed to get to appliances. The phone rang, and rang, and rang. If they were trying to discourage me and have me give up and order online, they did not know who they were messing with! Someone eventually got sick of the phone ringing and picked up. I placed the order and was assured I would be called Fri for a Sat delivery to break down the time range for us. Fri came and no call. I had to let the propane guy know when to be at the house to unhook/hook up the new stove. I called Lowe's and after another marathon ringing session, was told someone would call around 6 pm. No one called. By. 8 pm, I called Lowe's to advise them I was coming 3 hrs up there and needed a time, and was given a 4 hr window. Great. Next day, we called to get more of a breakdown and was told about a 3 hr window. There was no talking to the vendor who was actually making the delivery and everything had to go through Lowe's. We did finally get Lowe's to switch our delivery position as gas guy was on his way and somehow by the grace of God everything pulled together, but it was extremely stressful trying to get coordinated with it being a gas appliance and the delivery drivers won't touch it unless it is unhooked. I feel this process for delivery could have run smoother and there could have been more coordination without me having to battle for specifics. On a good note the price and selection of items is typical box store and reasonable.

They are closed right now at 6:00 pm, on a Tuesday. It's the closest station and store and they are closed and locked up with lights turned off about 40-50% of the time when I stop by during presumed business hours. The parking lot is often strewn with cigarette butts and pieces of trash. It's painfully obvious that there's no interest in keeping the establishment clean and inviting. They are often out of basic items like bread, eggs, milk, and half&half. Some staff members are very polite and engaging and others couldn't care less about being helpful. It would be terrific if another owner would take over this location or if the current owner would figure out how to keep it clean, stocked and open for business.
