Lunch took 2 hours. Restaurant was empty at Monday noon, so why to hurry ? They pre-calculated tip as 20% of whole sum including HST, and refused to make it 10% when I asked. Needless to say, I'll never go there again, though food was good. read more

Sadly I organized a team event here. Sunday is kids eat free but they didn't honour because of the 30 person group. Then the servers gave the kids full size drinks not incl with kids meal with free refills a. They don't need that much pop. B. The added $4 for this size drink is ridiculous c. they charged us for refillable drinks and didn't ask if anyone for refills. Seems this is just an upsell strategy. They also charged 15% gratuity on bill because we were a larger party but didn't disclose. Therefore people paid more in tip on top of the 15% My fish tacos were 1/5. Very greasy and soggy. Not crisp and no flavour We will not return to any Fionn locations. Highly advise against going here with any group. read more

Fam, the way my bestie and I bodiedddd this...scraping the cheese off the paper, like that's how you know eh. I like how they use tri coloured chips and the toppings (including the dip) were freshhhh. Great experience! Super friendly staff! For appetizer I ordered the fry cauliflower and my mom got the chowder soup. This was my first time having fried cauliflower and I loved it on my goodness I could not stop eating it my mom also loved her soup and she said it was extremely filling For my main course I got the card sandwich and my mom got the power bowl both were really great to be House made tartar sauce on the codfish was super delicious and the parable was the sauce that they used on the power bowl was a good compliment read more

A lovely hostess seated us right away as the restaurant was not very busy for a friday evening. 15 minutes later we were never once attended by any waitress. At least four walked by us but would not make eye contact for us to ask. Then an couple was seated next to us and was served immediately. No thanks. We will spend our money elsewhere. I don't care if a waitress is busy. The others could have simply acknowledged we existed as customers. We would have been happy to wait. read more

My wife and I were leaving the movies at Trinity Common and were craving wings and a quick bite. She's typically not too excited to try new things, but since this was close and that I recalled a fairly positive experience at a Finn McCools in Kitchener a few years earlier, I convinced her we should at least try it. We walked in and there was no hostess present. Another couple were already there waiting too and we didn't see someone for at least a couple minutes. It gave me time to look around. They had a DJ playing music - the music being nearly as loud as you would have at a club. It was mostly full, so I guess people must come here for that reason. The big difference however was that everyone was seated - including those in the bar area. I can't quite figure out the reason why you'd want to go to a place with really loud music if you're just going to sit and talk as though it were any day of the week. Later we even saw a bouncer. I know they typically are just there to stand and observe, but I'd safely bet that a bouncer at this location will probably never have to deal with any semblance of an incident. At least it legitimises the club-feel they're going for. Our waitress was nice and come out quickly for our order. And she was honest when I asked whether the fries were from frozen (yes). Honestly, my expectations were only this high *holds hand in front of chest*, I didn't come in expecting too much. The menu prices are more on par with slightly higher chain restaurants (almost everything $18+), but I later found that the food can hardly even compete with Kelsey's and the like. My fish tacos were fairly bland, with too much breading and very little actual fish. I'm pretty sure the side of guacamole was just the Yucatan brand - not even as good as pre-packaged brands as Wholly Guacamole. My wife's hot wings tasted as though they were pre-coated and pre-seasoned (i.e. at a food processing plant). The service was even worse. Our waitress checked on us shortly after the food arrived. I asked for hot sauce (to compensate for the lack of taste in the tacos). But it never came. In fact, the only time we saw her, or another server, for the next half hour was towards the end of the meal when she checked in again and realised she forgot the hot sauce. I thought it was odd that she kept pouring her own drinks. And for the 20 minute period once we were finished and waiting for another server, it was clear there was no bar tender and the servers were just rotating in and pouring the drinks for their respective tables. Odd practice anywhere, but especially on a Saturday when you're trying to emulate a club. After getting tired of waiting for her to come by, my wife went to the bar and asked if they could get our server for the bill. She was told that our server was moved to another area and the bar was taking care of us (whatever that meant, since no one really stayed there). They clearly didn't follow through on that very well, and I wonder how much longer we would've waited had we not got up on our own. They really need to figure out how to have a system with their staff. No hostess, no bartender and servers just running around without a plan in place. I can't give it one star since people were still friendly here, and though the food was dull, it wasn't necessarily offensive. But I just don't understand how it attracts enough people to almost pack it out. Mediocre but paying more than you'd even expect for that. read more

Love this location the food is always so Good and they have great customer service. One time our food was taking a little longer than usual but we didn't think anything of it and the manager just randomly came over apologized and gave us another free appetizer! Considering I went here twice within 3 weeks I would say that I really enjoy this place, especially this location since it's near my house. The service has been amazing both times but I will talk about my most recent visit. I met my friend here for lunch on a Monday and on Mondays they have their pie special which is any pie (Shepherd's, Chicken, etc.) with a side for only $10.99. My friend got the Guinness Steak and Mushroom Pie and I got the Salmon Leek Pie. I would have gotten the same thing as him but all the calorie counts freak me out. I've had the steak and mushroom pie before and it was delicious. The salmon leek pie I had this time was very tasty as well. The flavours just worked very well together and was salted just right for my palate. I would so come here again if I'm looking for pub food! read more

My husband and I went here for drinks and apps early in the evening. I got the Strawberry Fruli to drink which was priced very reasonably compared to other restaurants I've got this from. To share we got the Blarney Chips which were very delicious although I don't think they give enough salsa and sour cream with it. We sat on the patio which was quite empty when we first got there around 6:30pm. At first I was very pleased with our server until towards the end. Since there weren't many people on the patio, our server did not come by our table for a while even after we finished eating and drinking. When she finally came we asked for our bill and she brought out our bill and said she will be right back with the debit machine. I think we waited about 10 mins and no one came by so we can pay. We finally got tired of waiting so we went inside with the receipt. Our waitress saw us at the bar and asked if we wanted to pay. I think she actually forgot that we were still waiting for her to bring us the machine. Overall the food was good and they had a live DJ inside but I was not pleased at all with the service. Five or us ventured in on a Saturday night based on our nieces recommendation (she pronounces it Fee-On Mcools). Think Irish pub style decor and food. I can summize the experience in one word - disappointing. Getting to the restaurant was a bit of a challenge as traffic congestion was a nightmare...certainly not the restaurants fault but be forewarned that traffic can be challenging on a Saturday evening. Even the drive out of the parking lot afterwards took almost 10 minutes. When we arrived, we were greeted at the door by a friendly hostess who advised us that we would have a nominal wait time as they cleared a table. We stood for less than 5 minutes before being escorted to our table. Our waitress was over shortly thereafter to take drink orders to answer any questions we may have. As there were 5 of us, I'll try to keep the review short. We started with two appetizers, a large nachos and their spicy cauliflower. The spicy cauliflower was a hit...it was devoured and no morsels were left. The nachos were perhaps the worst I've ever had at a restaurant...they were dry, plain, lacking any flavour and downright disappointing (throw some nacho chips on a cookie sheet, add about 1/4 cup of cheese (if that much), throw some bland pepper rings on top, bake it, add some tomatoes, serve). Even the guacamole ranch sauce lacked any flavour. Wouldn't recommend the nachos at all...it was an overpriced, bland, mess. My niece and I ordered the Chicken and waffles. She enjoyed hers, I found the waffles dry and definitely not freshly made (they reminded me of the Belgian waffles you get at Costco). The chicken pieces were seasoned nicely, so I ate them, but the waffles were inedible and I left them on my plate (they were served with warm honey - an interesting take as other places I've dined serve them with maple syrup). I was completely underwhelmed. My other niece ordered their veggie burger with sweet potatoe fries. Her only complaint when she started chowing down was that it was dry and that no sauce/ailoli/etc was on it. On the drive home she mentioned that the burger wasn't "blended" enough, and that it contained full pieces of chick peas, which dried the burger out when you hit them. Don't get me wrong she finished 3/4 of it..but she said she was starving and woukd have eaten anything. She said if she went back, she wouldn't reorder it, so that speaks volumes. My partner ordered the Reuben with fries. He said they were cheap on the meat and that it was way overpriced for what you were getting. While he ate it all, he summarized it as disappointing and stated that the reuben at Arbys (a fast food joint) was far superior to what he was served here. He did like the waitresses recommendation for beer !!!! Our friend ordered a burger with fries. I believe she enjoyed it as her plate was cleaned. Our waitress ensured drinks were replenished and dropped by a few times to check on the table. So, in summary, I found the experience disappointing... not from a service perspective, but from a food perspective. I'd return if in the neighbourhood, but wouldn't go out of my way to return. My niece also wanted it known that they don't give you mints/etc after the meal. Downright cheap and nasty is how she put it. read more

Been here one time before with a friend for a quick drink and dry shitty nachos before going to the movies. It was simple gut fill that was bad but did the trick. Servers there are nice and are the best part of the restaurant it's the shitty menu and dirty kitchen staff that ruin this location. Went there again last Thursday and place is dead. Ordered a burger and was vomiting 4 hour later. Kitchen is filthy for sure. Beware. read more

Spur of the moment decision... I had always wanted to try the lamb shank, but it was not available. Had an excellent burger however and my lovely wife enjoyed the steak and mushroom pie which was on special. Very friendly and fun staff, service was just right... and we had a nice meal. I checked out the new location at Trinity Commons in Brampton. Not only was the food great, the service was better than I have received anywhere in a long time. Our server was a lovely girl named Jamie and she deserves special recognition. She checked on our table often, refilled drinks, brought the food out quickly and had a great attitude the entire time. We were really impressed with her service and I let the manager know on my way out that this girl is gold - she was a real superstar. read more

Best bar environment in Brampton & food quality is improving. Recomended for those living close by. Their calamari, but I think they've changed the recipe. Also I wish they had live bands more often :) read more
