For his side dish, he got garden salad, which tasted fresh ( I got a bite of that too lol). I shared my fries ;-) Moving on, the service was great. Our server was super friendly and attentive, checking in on us regularly to make sure everything was okay. And the best part? Parking was a breeze! In Downtown Barrie. Free parking after 5pm (we parked at 9 Simcoe Street), just a 3-minute walk from the pub. Donaleigh's Irish Public House is killing it with their live events! They have got Genevieve Cyr and Nate Douglas performing soon, and The Rob Watts Band is taking the stage too. But honestly comedy shows are a must. I contacted the company that hosts the trivia, PubStumpers, but they seemed more concerned with persuading me that the pay-to-win mechanic was acceptable, rather than listening to my objection. The trivia IS fun, but now it is only fun if you don't mind that a game of skill and chance is now about skill, chance, and how much extra money you are willing to pay. Very disappointing for trivia enthusiasts.

In fairness, I think it's important to know what you support when you visit this business…read more Courtney, the current owner, does not follow the Employment Standards Act, Section 14, when it comes to paying out tips or tip-outs to the employees. The legislation requires that all tips be paid out immediately; unfortunately, Courtney refuses to pay the servers all their tips for weeks, even though she knows they need their tips to live on. Courtney has been advised of the legislation, yet seems to think she is above the law. Anytime anyone speaks up, they no longer work there. Here is what you can do to support the employees: Pay the tip in cash - This way, they get it immediately, and Courtney has no opportunity to withhold it from the employee. Send a clear message to the employer - Let them know that you cannot support a business that prevents employees from receiving their tips as per the ESA. Regarding tip-outs, we have asked several times to show us the sales and how tip-outs for bartenders and kitchen staff are calculated, yet every time we ask, it is ignored. I have asked to be paid the money I am owed for weeks, only to be ignored. This is the employer you are supporting.
