Easy to make appointments. Candace is always been professional, consistent and easy to deal with. They have a nice waiting room with soft drinks and coffee where you can relax and wait if you get there early This a calm, relaxing atmosphere, unlike where I used to go that are loud and the exact opposite of relaxing. 5/5 every time. read more

I had Vanessa as my stylist. I showed her an exact picture what of I wanted and how I wanted and she did nothing like it. Most stylist told me in the past that they prefer pictures because it gives an exact idea. I almost feel like she did it on purpose because I told her what my job was and why I was getting it and she chose to ruin it on purpose. I will Be posting on all sights to let anyone know that she did this and document. I do not want other stylist or the establishment to take heat for one individual but she extremely ruined my hair. In a way that looks nothing like what was asked. For someone doing hair for 15 years as she said, it's un like this type of work to be so bad at that point in career. read more

I received an amazing haircut with Austin yesterday at the Finley's Burnet location. I am super picky with my haircuts and he exceeded my expectations and I will be recommending him to all of my friends. read more

Madison, a stylist at the Burnet location, always does an excellent job, listens to what I want done, and helps me plan for future cuts (changing a long standing hairstyle). She includes me in the process and takes care of me as a customer. Truly appreciate it. read more

A solid barber shop but not worth the price you pay. Paid $84 for a face and beard trim and it was nothing special; no razor was used on my face and there still are visible hairs showing. If you want the same thing, go to Floyd's and pay $50 instead. I'll be busy cleaning up my neck and face :(. read more

Finley's Barbershop is the barbershop of all barbershops. When you walk in, the reception is to your right hand side and the shop is divided about 2/3 of the room with approximately 10 chairs on the 1/3 side and 20 chairs on the other. Upon walking in, the receptionist asks for your name, checks you in and walks to to the waiting room located in the back and offers you a complimentary beverage of choice ranging from water, coffee, soda or sparking water. Barbers are well skilled, and I love how they mentor up and coming barbers in their apprentice program with hands on experience. If you live in Austin or are here in town visiting, I highly recommend you book an appointment at Finley's Barbershop. read more

It was the best of times... Vanezza is awesome. Going next Saturday morning. Looking forward to a hot towel shave.

Madison is so great at men's/boys haircuts! She's super friendly and kind and the entire staff is as well.

I worked with MADISON yesterday and she's an excellent stylist. I love my new cut! And there's always a fridge full of my favorite sparkling water. read more

Hands down the best cut I've ever got. The attention to detail was all there! No rushing, just quality! I quit going to birds because this place treats non hipsters like humans. read more

Kandace's customer service is great! i always schedule my appointments around her availability and have been doing that for years.

It's been ridiculous finding barbershops that use a straight razor without charging over $45 for a beard trim as of late. I pressed my luck and had the wonderful opportunity to meet Yeng for a trim and condition. He was extraordinarily nice, docile, and thorough. I love when a barber explains what they're doing as they begin a specific technique and he did just that. It was a relaxing trim and I'll be back for a cut very soon! read more

Great customer service from (Kayleigh) I believe her name was, with exceptional attention to detail from the time I walked in . Fresh and clean environment and very welcoming. I went in for a beard trim and Leticia has made it 100% the best. read more

Just finished up my first haircut with Finleys and it was fantastic. I've been bouncing around for a little trying out new places, but I think I may have found my permanent haircut spot. I found this place on ClassPass and never ever realized it existed. I have surely passed a number of Finley's all over town several times and not paid any mind to them. The class pass equivalent of the price was about $30 so a 25% savings from the $40 you would pay in person. I booked a same day service and got in and out in 40 minutes even though I wasn't sure what exactly I was going for on my cut. Megan P. was great. She was very kind and personable and helped me to figure out what haircut I was going for. I ended up with a 1 on the sides and 2 finger lengths on the top. I have got my haircut at several places now, but this was the best yet. If you are checking this place out and unsure of what cut to try, ask to go with Megan, she was very patient and willing to go the extra mile to help. The warm cloth and back shoulder massager were an added benefit at the end that I had no idea about. This place is great! read more

Stephanie was great with our two year old, very patient and flexible with him, and gave him a handsome hair cut!

I went here for the first time on Thursday, 7/7/23. Brandon gave me a great haircut and Travis gave me an awesome beard trim. I'm so happy with the results that I will go back! read more

I'm a LONG-time Finley's customer, and have always been impressed by the talent and personality of its staff, and the clean, classy and comfortable facilities. Thank you for being here, and congratulations for making it through the challenges of the pandemic. Still hitting up Finley's for haircuts for our male family members. Making appointments is easy via phone, internet or phone app. They run on time, and listen carefully to the clients. They take the time to check in with the client to make sure everything is okay. Con: Parking can be tricky. If the other businesses are busy, try parking in the back. read more

Brandon Tuber, a Manager at both the Burnet Rd and N Lamar locations completely disregarded the instructions I provided him after our introduction. I told him I wanted to keep my same beachy/wavy style, and to cut 1 - 1.5 in off just to shorten and remove bulkiness. Instead, Brandon decided to conduct what he thought was the best look for me by cutting 2.5 + inches off of the sides and pretty much nothing off of the top. After he pointed out that I have a cowlick, and I commented that I think he's going too short (which results in the hair in that area just sticking up straight), he continued to cut it to a point of severe shortness. I told him that I was worried it was too short and was going to look botched for the holiday's and my upcoming 20th birthday. He responded by saying, "who said it wasn't already botched already?" in a joking manner, which I didn't find funny. Brandon finished off by slicking my hair back and tucking it behind my ears, which wasn't even close to what I had originally requested, and the overall style of my hair. I had seen Brandon two times previously where he did a fine job the first time, and the second time decided to take things into his own hands similarly to this time by cutting it short on the sides and slicking it back. I decided to give him a second chance, and that was clearly an immense mistake. If you ever have the option to get a haircut with Brandon Tuber, I HIGHLY recommend you let literally anyone but him. read more

What can I say... Finley's got that old time barber shop feel yet has appropriately sized TV's placed around the rooms. There's a lounge in the back w coffee and such. Its clean and well kept. Like a fresh haircut. I like the atmosphere. I started going there because I followed my girl Stephanie from her previous location to Finley's. I highly recommend asking for her. She's cut my hair ever since I moved here in Feb 2016. It's tough finding a new hair stylist when you relocate. So when you find a good one you stay loyal. Stephanie's fun, professional and says she loves working at Finley's. You know the saying... if the employees are happy, the customers are happy. read more

Yeng is the best barber I have ever had. He's very particular and passionate about what he does. He is also incredibly friendly and always goes above and beyond. By far the BEST barber I have ever had. I have never had a barber that I want to come back to until now. I will never go to anyone else besides Yeng. read more

They cancelled on me 3 times after rescheduling my appointment, which is ironic, bc they make you pay if you cancel on them within 3 hours of the appt. What's worse, is that it comes from a call center, and they don't even know the reason(s) for the cancellation. It's a chain, so just know that going in. read more

Brandon is the man! It's always a pleasure to see him and catch up. Haven't gone to anyone else since I started going to him a few years back. 10/10 recommend for a cut and beard trim if you're looking for a new barber. read more

Heather is the best barber I've ever had. Also the shop is always clean and everyone is friendly. Their waiting area is nice with soda, coffee, water and even beer if you want it while you wait. Big screen tv in the waiting room and smaller TVs at every barber station so you have something to watch while you get your hair cut. I rarely watch it as Heather is always a joy to talk to. read more

In place of trying to explain why this place is so good, I'm just going to quote the text conversation I had with my fiancé after my haircut (expletives edited for the children): ------------------------- Me: That was the best f$€kin haircut I have ever had Her: LOL. i like how you choose to cuss about a haircut of all things Me: You don't understand. It was so good Me: I make an appointment 15 minutes ahead of time. Show up and get shown to the lounge where there are sports and TV and good beer Me: Then I get my hair cut by a very nice woman, about our age, talk about random things, her kids, California being weird, israel. She does a good job cutting. Me: Then after the haircut, she is like let's washout the loose hair which was the one thing I was worried about because I have no shower access. So I get a hot towel on my face while I get a legitimate head massage‍ Me: Which also happens to wash the itchy hair bits off of my head Me: Then, she stiles it and it's looking really good and I'm like this is great Me: THEN she does hot foam straight razor shave to the back of my neck Me: THEN she is like.....shoulder massage time and takes out this big massage device and I get a shoulder massage while i am cracking up because wtf ----------------------------- The woman who cut my hair was Kassandra Mahoney. It seems strange for me to be this excited about a haircut but it was unbelievable. I'm currently writing this review from the lounge where I'm finishing my beer. read more

Finley's Barber Shop - Proof of my own good this haircut was - Men's Hair Salons Near Me - Austin, Texas

See all

I may work at an incredible salon surrounded by amazing stylists I am always looking for someone to take care of my short hairstyle. Today, on a last minute need, I decided to try out the new neighborhood barber shop. Finley's opened a few months ago next to the ice cream shop on Burnet and because it is so close I thought I would try them. Natalia had an opening (lucky me) and I got the best haircut ever! She is very skilled, the haircut is exactly what I wanted, and the shampoo...well, it makes the haircut even better. She is friendly, talented, and treated me like a star even after finding out I was a stylist. Finley's is an "old school" barber shop offering beer, barber chairs, sports, and that great neck shave. I recommend this barber shop to anyone who likes the "old school" experience (minus the old barber talking politics). Thanks Finley's and Natalia for a great experience. read more

Dana was excellent and managed to fit me in before a scheduled client. She did an excellent job and was fun to talk to. They offered me a drink and it looked like there was a cool little lounge area. Because I was a lucky walk-in, I didn't have to wait at all. The cut itself was very solid and Dana did an excellent fade. My hair is particular and loves to stick up in goofy places. She anticipated that and made it work out perfectly. I'll definitely be back! read more

Finley's Barber Shop - Men's Hair Salons Near Me - Austin, Texas

If you want a passive aggressive hair cut, this is your place! I'm not sure what was wrong, but I could definitely tell my stylist Stephanie was not happy to be there. I tried some small talk, but really no response. She told me 'her tv was broken and that I hope like staring into the mirror'. Not a word was said after that. Haircut itself was to short and kinda sloppy. This was my first experience at Finley's and I won't be back. Go to Birds right down the street for the same price. This place is 100% garbage. read more

Seeing as how I never actually got a service done that I booked, 1 star. I called the phone line to make an appointment, and then show up at the appointment time and location at this shop, and they claim to have no idea what I'm talking about. Said they can't do a simple straight razor shave for my wedding. Incompetence abounds. read more

I came because I needed a cut. Holy sh*t I should of just not got one from here. I came in asked for low fade and the barber gave me what she wanted. I got a good ol high fade. I was so embarrassed I paid and left. Now I'm at home thinking I should just buzzing my head because this is a awful cut. I did not see one barbers incense in the shop. Do not come here and waste 35 bucks like I did. Go to a real barber shop. This is the same as going to super cuts, great clips, and sports clips. They're all trash. read more

On a lark I visited Finley's when my usual place couldn't fit me in and I was impressed by the talent, customer care and attention to detail of the Finley's saff on Burnett Finley's excels at what it sets out to do on every level and, as someone who thinks a lot about the importance of finding the best people and treating them well, my conversations with the staff clearly shows leadership that's taking the long view. Great cut, shave and beard treatment sure but spending an afternoon here was a pleasure because of the welcome, the ambience, and the people. Special call outs to Mai Phillip and Vanezza. Thank you ladies for reminding me what pure professionalism and customer care look like. read more

I visited this Finley's after Birds messed up my hair pretty bad. To my surprise I had no problem in communicating with Shae and she took care of it in no time. Making this my to go hair cut spot from now on! read more

Easy scheduling, great service, consistent quality. Been coming here for a while and now even my grandson is a fan! Start them young!

Finley's always crushes it! The guy ahead of me was late, so my appointment was going to be late. Courtney at the front desk let me know, made sure I was ok, and offered me a beer. Can't ask for better service than that. After a hard day at work, Courtney put a smile on my face. Thank you for being a caring human being! I'll definitely be back for the service and the great cut. read more

Took my 13 year old son to see Mai after seeing her name on Yelp - as we knew her from another salon. Had heard good things about Finleys and was not disappointed! The place is beautiful and relaxed, with a nice lounge and sodas, beer and a keurig. Mai did her usual fabulous job - she listens to her clients but also has a good sense for what styles work for each person. I highly recommend Mai and Finleys! We will return for sure and hope the line at Lick next door isn't quite so long so we can pop in for a post-haircut treat. Update: now 15, my son still goes here for his cuts with Mai! read more

My husband went here for a beard trim, razor shave, and beard conditioner. The experience overall was good but the stylist completely butchered his beard. She asked him if the length was ok after it was already too short and completely changed the shape of his beard, moving the line all the way down near his jaw line when he had a beautiful full beard and didn't ask for a new style, just needed the sides on his cheeks tapered. My husband wasn't happy but is always worried about offending people so said nothing. It's not like it can be fixed anyway. Just have to wait for it to grow back *tears* read more

Just went to their shop on Burnet Rd. and got a great cut from Stephanie. It had been 3 months since my last visit due to the coronavirus-related closure and it was very nice. So glad things are slowly heading in a good direction for a welcome change. read more

Lower then one star. Took my son for hair cut before school stared and the fucking dude didn't know what I was saying. Long in the front and and start getting shorter to the back. He ended up cutting his hair off throwing a fuucking fit like a bitch saying ( I have things to do and places to go) and stops cutting my boys hair cleans up and leaves. Another female barber was there and had to fix his fuck ups. I'm so glad she was there ,that place would of gone up in flames and his ass knocked the fuck out if not for her. Poor customer service, she didn't have too. read more
