We worked with Sandra for about a year leading up to our wedding at La Pietra, and truly, we don't know what we would have done without her. We're both busy professionals based in SF, so we knew we needed someone in Hawaii who could really take the reins. Sandra was a godsend. The biggest thing for us was that NOTHING fell through the cracks. If we mentioned something once, she remembered it. She was also somehow always calm. Even when we were indecisive, changed our minds, or threw something at her last minute (oops), we never once saw her rattled or annoyed. Special shoutout to Kandis too, who helped coordinate so many details throughout the year! We also loved that Sandra wasn't afraid to tell us what she thought. We were initially against having a tent because we thought it would ruin the look of the wedding. She ultimately left the decision to us, but made sure we understood the realities of Hawaii weather. We're so glad we listened! It rained the day before, was insanely windy the day of, and the tent ended up being a great decision. Her vendor network was another huge plus. After so many years planning weddings in Hawaii, she knows who's good. She gave us a handful of trusted options for each vendor, we interviewed and chose who felt right, and we ended up LOVING everyone we hired. They also consistently told us how incredibly "on it" Sandra was. And on the wedding day, we just... enjoyed it. Everything ran so smoothly that we could be fully present. Seeing everything we'd spent a year planning and envisioning finally come to life, even more beautifully than we imagined, was so special. It genuinely felt like the perfect day, and we know it wouldn't have been possible without Sandra and her team. We'd recommend Sandra a million times over. read more

I cannot recommend Sandra and the Finishing Touch team highly enough. Sandra is the kind of wedding planner every couple dreams of having by their side--thoughtful, calm, incredibly organized, and quietly working behind the scenes to make everything perfect without you even realizing it. Throughout the planning process and especially on the wedding day, Sandra went above and beyond to ensure everything ran seamlessly. She has a remarkable ability to anticipate problems before they arise and just takes care of them without ever needing to be asked. Knowing she was on top of everything allowed me to be fully present and truly enjoy the day. One of the things I appreciated most was how well Sandra handled family dynamics--she was warm, patient, and so respectful. It was an extra comfort that she spoke Cantonese and was able to communicate directly with my family in Hong Kong. That personal touch made such a difference and helped everyone feel more included and at ease. Sandra also has an exceptional eye for design--everything looked stunning and came together in such an elegant, cohesive way. Beyond her talent and professionalism, she's incredibly friendly, understanding, and clearly a seasoned veteran in the industry. I'm so grateful to Sandra and her team for making our day feel effortless and beautiful. If you value thoughtful design, attention to detail, and someone who will make you feel completely taken care of, Sandra is the one. read more

Sandra and Kandis were amazing planners. We started planning our wedding 18 months in advance and they were keeping us on track for 1.5 years! Sandra also met with us a year before the wedding to do a food tasting with us and show us the venue! They really know all the best vendors in Oahu and were looking out for us. We are grateful that they helped us pick the best vendors who really delivered. They helped us put together our dream wedding and we are so grateful!!! Highly recommend! Nicole was also our day of coordinator and she was taking care of us the whole day! read more

My wife and I worked with Finishing Touch for our wedding in March 2024. I can't say enough great things about the quality of work and expertise Sandra and her team had from start to finish. One of the most remarkable aspects of our experience was the impeccable organization and coordination. Every element of our wedding, from the food vendor to the floral arrangements, was meticulously planned and flawlessly executed. During the wedding day I didn't even have to think, Sandra and her team had everything outlined and prepared. There was a moment where we sat down at our Sweetheart table to start the main reception and I had a thought, "I need to head to the bar to get myself and wife a drink." Right at the end of that thought I had one of her staff deliver us our plates of dinner along and asked what drinks we wanted. Within what felt like seconds our cocktails magically appeared. I know it's small but at that moment we felt pretty darn spoiled and taken care of. Because Sandra and her team were so attentive it really allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the joy of our Big Day. Also big shout out to Sandra for helping us resolve a small family situation. We had a service drop off our Chinese Grandma (94 years old) but they dropped her off like 45 mins early at the venue while we were taking pictures elsewhere. Grandma was with a family member who doesn't speak Cantonese so they were both confused on what to do and where to go. Sandra rushed over to them and spoke to Grandma in Cantonese and handled the situation. That's the level of care you'll get from Finishing Touch. Thank you again Sandra and Team for making our day so memorable and smooth! read more

Unforgettable Wedding, Flawlessly Executed -- Thank You Sandra + Finishing Touch Hawaii! Planning a destination wedding from Orange County, California, I spent a lot of time searching for the right planner -- someone I could fully trust to handle every detail from afar. The moment I connected with Sandra Williams and her team at Finishing Touch Hawaii, I knew we were in the best hands. We held our ceremony beachside at the beautiful Royal Hawaiian Resort, followed by an outdoor reception that absolutely exceeded expectations. Sandra's vision, layout, and design sense matched perfectly with mine -- elegant, elevated, and seamless. From the save-the-dates to the final after-hours snacks, she was on top of everything. I also want to give a big thank you to Kandis, the administrative coordinator, who was incredibly helpful, responsive, and full of great insight throughout the process. She truly helped everything run smoothly behind the scenes and kept us feeling supported the whole way through. Sandra and her team also planned our welcome dinner at RumFire Waikiki at the Sheraton, and every vendor she brought in was professional and top-notch. I genuinely felt we had the best talent and organization the island could offer, and the planning process was always clear and transparent. Our guests were blown away. Friends and family are still raving about how beautiful everything was and how much fun they had. Most importantly, everyone was entertained and had the best time -- and we did too! We used Finishing Touch's full-service planning for our wedding, and Sandra and her team absolutely crushed it. Before choosing them, we interviewed a few local wedding planners. Having attended several weddings in Hawaii, we were hesitant about repeating venues. Sandra was incredibly helpful--she provided us with a curated list of recommended locations and even pointed out a few Instagram trends and setups to avoid. Her insight helped us make decisions that felt fresh and unique. She also has a strong network of trusted vendors. We interviewed most of them and honestly couldn't have gone wrong with any. In the end, we chose the ones we felt most comfortable with and who fit our budget. We even picked her brain with a couple of outside vendors, Sandra was able to share her knowledge and give us honest feedback, which gave us even more confidence in our choices. One thing we quickly learned: having a great team is everything. Whether it's unexpected weather or a wardrobe issue, Sandra and her crew have seen it all and know how to pivot effortlessly to keep things on track. I'll admit--my now-wife handled most of the communication with Sandra and Kandis, but from my perspective, the process was as smooth as it could be. They stayed in constant contact with our vendors, making sure every detail was lined up well before the big day. We were also able to ship many of our wedding supplies ahead of time, which saved us a lot of stress and suitcase space. Of course, not everything goes perfectly--some Etsy orders didn't arrive on time, and a couple of Amazon items weren't quite what we expected--but Sandra stepped in and helped resolve those last-minute issues without missing a beat. Our wedding day was everything we hoped for and more. Everything flowed seamlessly--from the ceremony to photos, cocktail hour, and the reception--without ever feeling rushed. It was an unforgettable evening. The décor, the staff, and the vibe were all perfectly executed, thanks to the thoughtful planning and coordination from Sandra and her team. read more

If you are looking for a wonderful wedding planner/coordinator, my husband and I highly recommend Finishing Touch LLC. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding, and we owe so much of that to Sandra and her incredible team (Kandis and Nicole). From the moment we met 13 months prior to our wedding, we knew we were in good hands with Sandra. Her warmth, professionalism, easy going personality and exceptional attention to detail immediately put us at ease during what could have been a very stressful time. Sandra took the time to really understand our vision for the day, and she went above and beyond to bring my Pinterest boards to life. From providing a list of wonderful trustworthy vendors (photographers, videographers, florist), to managing the setup, the timeline and schedule for us - we are so grateful to have Finishing Touch for all these aspects to make our wedding flawlessly executed. She guided us through every step of the planning process with patience and grace, always offering valuable advice and solutions to any challenges that arose (especially when our venue coordinator went on medical leave and had a temp. coordinator step in). Planning a destination wedding in North Shore, Oahu from Seattle, Washington was not challenging with Sandra. Our meetings were very thorough and productive. She always ensured we had plenty of time to make decisions and always cautioned us if she found anything troubling. We really respect for honesty and dedication to making sure we come first. On the day of the wedding, Sandra and her team worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that everything ran smoothly (rain or shine!) They handled every detail with precision and professionalism, allowing us to relax and truly enjoy our special day as much as we could. We are so grateful for her expertise, dedication, and genuine care throughout the entire process. If you're looking for a wedding planner who will go above and beyond to make your day unforgettable, look no further than Sandra at Finishing Touch LLC. We cannot recommend her highly enough! My friend recommended Finishing Touch to me and I am soooo happy I listened to her. Sandra and her team are absolutely amazing at what they do. She is super friendly and easy to talk to / work with, which made the whole planning process a breeze. We had begun our planning Dec 2019 for a March 2021 wedding, but as we all know covid hit. Although we didn't get our big celebration in 2021, she still offered some help for our mini backyard wedding by keeping me in communication with some of the vendors that I still wanted to use for our mini celebration. Also I just want to add in what a challenge it must've been for them to plan all these weddings during covid due to all the rollercoaster of changes in regulations that needed to be followed. But they continued to keep us in high spirits and were so organized in keeping us updated and moving our wedding date with the vendors. I didn't even have to do anything, but tell her which new date I wanted to postpone to! And in 2022 that's when we had our dream (second) wedding at Lanikuhonua. There was no way I could have pull off everything they did for a venue that provides nothing, but a big open space with a breathtaking sunset. The amount of details and logistics they had to provide seemed so effortless. Sandra basically asks you what you want for your wedding and makes it 10x better than you could have expected. For example, I didn't even think about how the table setting would be or even look like, she just gathered a dinner menu, our favors, and a name place card from me and she added in a little sprig and had the napkins folded a certain way, she even ordered gold utensils! They truly add in their own little finishing touches and it truly makes all the difference. One thing that impressed me the most was the behind the scenes action. So we had an open bar and bought all our beverages from Costco and my husband and I thought we knew our guests drink preferences well, but clearly not! Of course they all went for the hard liquor, which we were almost out of before the reception even begun! But here comes Sandra behind the scenes sending one of her team members to make an alcohol run for us so that we wouldn't run out. I was so impressed. And I only found out because my mom told me later about it. Crazy right?! And we all know how important alcohol can be at a wedding, lol. There really isn't anything bad I can say about Finishing Touch. They are a bit on the pricier side, but in all honesty SO worth it. The amount of planning, designing, and coordination they put into weddings is phenomenal and I would not have had it any other way. On that note, if you want the wedding of your dreams, save yourself some time and hire Sandra and her team! We truly appreciate and are so lucky to have had her. Thank you! read more

Sandra is worth every. penny. She planned and designed me wedding on Oahu while we were living in Washington. I thought I had a pretty general idea of what I wanted my wedding to look like, but it turns out I didn't because Sandra asked me so many questions about the small details I would have forgotten. And on the big day, she was somehow everywhere at the same time. I don't know how she did it, but I didn't have to lift a finger for anything. Our big day was so stress free and we had so much fun. Throughout our entire wedding process, my husband and I kept saying Sandra was the best decision we made. We found Sandra by researching online but realized that she had done two different weddings of people that we know in Asia. Our Hawaii wedding was a destination wedding for us and we started planning one year out, so we interacted with Sandra over a twelve month period over many emails and Zoom calls. Sandra and Kandis were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. I really don't know what we would've done without Finishing Touch. A couple of things that really stood out: They got my vision completely and tried to work within our budget. I liked that Sandra wasn't pushy with anything. I never felt like she was trying to make me spend more than I wanted. She was extremely responsive (I had heard horror stories of planners in Italy for example not responding to emails for an entire month). She was very thorough in answering all of our questions and always provided alternative options/solutions. She is also very detail oriented so I never had to worry that anything would fall through the cracks. They are process-oriented, which I appreciated. Given our planning process was a year-long, I liked how there was a rough timeline, i.e. there were certain decisions that could be made early on but there were also certain things that had to wait closer to the date. Sandra made sure we hit all those milestones and got all the prep work done in a timely manner. I really appreciated the questionnaires she made us fill out as it really helped nail down a lot of the details, especially things that I hadn't thought about. Their execution on the day of was flawless. I've been to weddings where I've seen the bride stressed out on the day of her wedding. I was determined not to be like that and Sandra and her team made that possible. I didn't have to worry about a single thing and the entire schedule ran smoothly. It was truly stress-free and that was all possible thanks to Finishing Touch. Lastly, the vendors she recommended were all excellent. I was skeptical about a few since we hadn't done a trial with some of them, i.e. we hadn't really heard the band sing live before, but we were blown away by all the vendors. They were all excellent and you could tell that they've worked with Finishing Touch many times before. We received so many compliments on our wedding and you can see from the photos how beautiful it was! Finishing Touch is really worth every penny, especially if you are looking to do a destination wedding. I enjoyed working with Sandra and her team so much and highly highly recommend her to anyone looking for a planner in Hawaii! read more

I wish I could relive the year of 2022 all over again up until my wedding day. I can honestly say It was literally the best day of my life. Every single detail was exactly what I envisioned my day would be and it was all thanks to the Finishing Touch team. I knew I wanted Sandra and her team to be my wedding planner when I stumbled upon her page while strolling through Instagram photos of weddings in Hawaii. After our initial consult, I could already feel the warmth of Sandra's personality through zoom and I was so confident with the decision that I found the perfect wedding planner. I am proud to say I was never one of those bride's that had any type of stress during the entire wedding planning process. Sandra was always a email/text away with any concerns or last minute changes that I requested. She will cater to your vision according to your budget as well so that is not something you have to worry about. I know wedding planners are not cheap but I can reassure you that it is worth every penny, especially with the Finishing Touch Team. My advice is to get a wedding planner and you can always budget on other things with your wedding. We were so lucky to have Sandra / Finishing Touch as our planner. She did an amazing job for our destination wedding in Hawaii. We began planning in late 2019 but had to postpone our wedding to 2022 due to COVID. Sandra and Lei were amazing from the get-go, recommending top notch vendors (all great choices and you can't go wrong with any), helping us think through every little detail about the wedding, and making the planning process as worry-free as it can be. Sandra is very organized and remembers all the details / contracts / timing etc about our wedding, even though the planning stretched for almost 2.5 years (we paused in 2020/2021 and picked back up in early 2022). That speaks to her attention to details, quality work and professionalism. We wanted the planning to be stress-free and Sandra and Finishing Touch made it happen. We flew to Hawaii one week before our wedding date and saw the venue for the first time the day before, and everything turned out to be perfect on our big day. Sandra was on site from 9:30am on our wedding day to work with vendors to set everything up, made sure that everything was under control and stayed with us throughout the entire event. Our guests raved about the wedding details and design, and all credits to Sandra's flawless execution, rich experience in planning and great taste in designs! We can't say enough about how amazing she is, and we highly recommend her to anyone who wants to do a destination wedding in Hawaii. Other than choosing each other, Sandra and Finishing touch were the best decisions we made for our wedding day. I am originally from Oahu but living in Los Angeles, so choosing a coordinator was really important to us! Our original wedding date was set for the April just before Covid shut everything down. We had to make a difficult decision to postpone our wedding and Sandra was there to dry our tears and ensure us that everything was gonna be okay. She was patient and understanding and didn't pressure us to make any decisions. This went on about three more times which included three different postponed wedding dates, three rounds of re-contracting with vendors, and every bit of frustration on our part. During this whole process, Sandra was nothing but professional, calm, encouraging, patient and everything that we could've asked for an a planner. The week of the wedding, I had a huge family emergency and my world fell apart. I couldnt deal with anything wedding related because of trips back and forth to the hospital, but my best friends were my liaisons. Sandra was willing to talk to them and laid out all of the other options so I could still make the day special. After a lot of contemplating, we ended up going through it as originally planned, but Sandra went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and it was still everything we wanted. As expected Sandra (and her assistant Lei), were amazing on our wedding day as well. Sandra's timeline was so detailed and meticulous in the best way possible. It was down to the 5-10 minute mark and everything happened without a hitch. The best part was that I got to relax and enjoy my wedding day from start to finish. We brought tons of personal items with us including framed pictures, baskets for our favors, etc and everything was returned perfectly in order, just the way we handed it to her. I loved everything about my wedding, the ambience, the vendors, the food, the music, the flowers, etc. i had made so may changes through the re-contracting, but at the end, I loved every detail. Most of my guests even went up to us and commented how amazing everything looked and how perfect everything was executed. Maybe they're being nice but alot of them even said that it was the most beautiful wedding that they've ever been to. We can't say enough positive things about Sandra and Finishing Touch and we would highly recommend them to anyone. They are truly the best. read more

We are so glad we went with Finishing Touch for our wedding. Sandra and her team did an incredible job, specifically they executed the wedding day and surrounding events flawlessly. Sandra was fantastic at rehearsal and directed the wedding party accordingly. We also saw Sandra overseeing the tent and chair set up the day of the wedding. It was nice to know she had her eye on everything and we just got to enjoy and soak in the day! We didn't have worry at all the day of the wedding as Sandra and her team had everything under control and taken care of. Prior to all of this, Sandra and the team were very responsive to email throughout the planning process and answered our many questions. Sandra and her team provided great vendor options, a full timeline for multiple events and took care of all of the vendor coordination and set up. While we did put a lot of time and effort into the wedding planning ourselves, it truly wouldn't have been what it was without Finishing Touch. It was really a wonderful feeling to show up at our wedding events and see everything come together perfectly. Our wedding weekend was truly amazing. Everything we envisioned came to life and all the events went seamlessly. We were truly impressed by how everything turned out - Finishing Touch was really able to understand our vision and design ideas and executed them to perfection! As a Honolulu native, it was daunting to even think about planning a local wedding at home with my life currently up and running in the Midwest. We decided very early on that we needed and were going to invest in a wedding planner, and through a series of interviews and fortunate events, ended up being in contact with Sandra and her team with Finishing Touch. In retrospect of the year of planning a now the wedding being over a few weeks ago, I know I personally have the capacity to have done it on my own, but the ease of working with a wedding planner was seriously a stress free treat. No, they wont make your invites or print or send them, but they'll remind you of timelines and recommend vendors and business that would best suit your needs. For me, what I enjoyed about working with Sandra in phase 1 (the 10 months before the wedding) was having her help in narrowing down vendor choices and giving sound advice on what I could realistically have with the budget we had in place. As a financially savy person, again it is not the responsibility of the planner to keep your budget in check, but she can advise you on ways to maximize the existing budget. I also work fulltime in a demanding healthcare career and the last thing I wanted to do after a long day of work was research 100 photographers. Working with Sandra helped narrow the playing field a lot, and all the vendors we worked with were honestly great. In phase 2 (2-3 months before the wedding), communication was great through email, and everything was clear on how the day was going to go. Day of coordination was spotless. I really was prepared for a few hiccups but nope- flawless thanks to Sandra and Lei. I really cannot thank them enough for all they did. Yes, it's their job, but their professionalism, calm demeanor, and reliability really sets them high in their given field. I really enjoyed working with Sandra over the year and am thankful we had the means to hire someone not just for day of coordination but for the whole year in advance. Highly recommended if you're someone who is planning from afar or just prone to overstress/anxiety regarding details and event planning. They are amazing! read more

Finishing Touch truly helped make me and my husband's wedding in Lanikuhonua a magical day with almost zero stress so that we can really live in the moment than stress on execution. When we started planning a destination wedding, we knew that a wedding planner who can help us with end to end design, vendor choice, and flawless execution was critical as we would need to be making many decisions remotely. Sandra and team have a phenomenal relationship with vendors and put together a perfect proposal more than a year out, giving me ample time to plan and never feel rushed in making decisions for an upcoming wedding. When I had specific requests, such as pineapple pina coladas, live ukelele ceremony music, and an ending fire knife dance show, Sandra helped make this vision a reality. At the end of the wedding, I had multiple guests come up to me, asking how I found Finishing Touch and for their contact info, as they had never been to such a smooth and flawlessly executed wedding. My husband and I got married in March 2024 on Oahu and Sandra and her team at Finishing Touch helped us plan the perfect welcome dinner and wedding! From the start we were impressed with Sandra's professionalism, expertise and calming presence. Neither of us have any experience with event planning, let alone planning a destination wedding(!!), but Sandra and team made everything easy and FUN. They took our vision for the wedding and made it even better than we could have imagined. They recommended the BEST vendors and helped us coordinate with all of them both prior to the wedding and day of, which was a huge help. Many of my bridesmaids commented on how this was the most organized and relaxed wedding they were a part of and that is all thanks to Sandra! We cannot thank Finishing Touch enough and now that our wedding is over I will genuinely miss our interactions with Sandra and her team. I was lucky enough to watch Sandra work when I was a bridesmaid for my cousin's wedding. I knew from the get go that she was someone of another caliber; she is someone who gets the job done and the problems dealt with, all without interfering with the bridal party. One thing that stuck out most to me was when the father of the groom requested seat and table changes to accommodate guests. This was a very formal wedding, so even the tiniest mishandling could make a world of problems. Also, how do you rearrange seating while people are already in their seats? I got stressed out as a third party person! Needless to say, she snapped her fingers, and everyone was none the wiser. Fast forward to my wedding, I knew I wanted her, but I didn't know if my laidback super casual wedding could warrant her expertise; it felt beneath her almost! I reached out to her a month prior to the big day, thinking I needed only a day of coordinator. After reviewing what I had planned so far (I had secured only the venue, videographer, photographer, and caterer), she let me down gently, stating that I need something more of a wedding planner. I couldn't imagine how much work it would be to decorate a place to my standards, thinking I'd be ok with anything, so it took me a minute to consider taking her on. It was seriously the best decision my hubs and I ever made. The thirty days leading up to our day consisted of her emailing me invoices and me responding with credit card info and signatures. I did this all at work, so it was no sweat off my back. I gave her full rein and she did a great job helping me stay within my budget. Day of, I had three venues for the day from 1pm-1am, and Sandra was there for much longer than I expected and she kept me right on schedule. At one point, there was a dress fiasco, and the zipper on my skirt busted open. One of her team members ran off and came back with a sewing kit. Sandra and her team are always prepared and they have everything under control to a T. This is definitely confirmed in the other reviews. Overall, I cannot relate to the bad reviews here. If I had to say something bad, it would be that I wish she could've just forged my signatures and filled in all my credit card info for me. I honestly could've given her a checkbook that was presigned and dated, but I am thirsty for miles and points. That is how much (or little) I would have wanted to be involved in the planning process. Obviously, that is unrealistic and likely illegal, so all you brides and grooms out there find a solution for this if you're at all anything like me. I cannot recommend Finishing Touch enough. She definitely seemed pricey at the start, but the amount of money and time she will save you with her expertise and knowledge of the industry surpasses her fees. Every invoice she gave me was half or lower than the amount I expected for all these vendors. Also, she will ask all the questions you are too afraid to ask before you think to ask them. To end, most brides book their wedding planners a year out. I hired her a month out. Logically, I would have had to pay her more than the person who booked her a year out because she had to work 12x as fast and as hard. Don't be dumb like me and think you can do everything yourself. Be smarter than me and hire this team so they can elevate your standards while saving you money. Win win win win win. read more

Sandra and her team at Finishing touch are INCREDIBLE! Everything she does is first class serve, style and delivery. She helped create the wedding of our dreams and no detail was left behind. Sandra was always so responsive, patience and collaborative. She made planning a wedding from California effortless. We were blown away how smoothly and stress free our day went. Every detail came together beautifully. We can't ever show enough appreciation to Sandra and her team!! read more

Where do I even start! My wedding happened because Sandra and Finishing Touch staff stepped up to the plate and MADE it happen. We live in California, and our wedding was canceled twice (a common Covid theme), we were at our wits end. We have family in Hawaii and at the beginning of March decided to try one more time for a May wedding. We were worried we wouldn't be able to find anyone willing to help us plan an event so quickly - but Sandra loves a challenge ! In 2.5 months Sandra and her staff planned THREE EVENTS for us!! Our Luau welcome dinner, rehearsal dinner, wedding day AND helped us book the home we were going to be staying and getting married in. Living on the mainland, it was so important that we found someone that we trusted and could manage the day to day interactions with our vendors. Sandra is REALLY tied into the community and had someone in her pocket to supply anything we asked for. On top of this, she listens, really listens! She did a fabulous job of matching vendors to my personality and over all look for the event. Nothing looked like it was planned in two month - it was VERY well done, every detail was thought of and executed with grace and class. Our 7-course dinner with wine pairings was incredible and of course Sandra had the perfect chef to fit our needs . Sandra has a very calming and graceful presence which is what you need while going through planning a wedding. Other than choosing my husband... using Sandra and Finishing Touch was the best decision I ever made! I wouldn't change a thing! read more

I first found Sandra and her team at Finishing Touch on Instagram. I was immediately impressed with her work (check out her page, the pictures speak for themselves)! I was originally planning on just doing a day of coordinator, which was required by our venue. After some thought, we decided to invest in full coordination and let me say IT WAS WORTH THE INVESTMENT! Looking back on our wedding budget, there were some things I feel like I could have skipped, but Finishing Touch is not one of them! I heard too many stories from other brides who told me their wedding was so stressful and that they were so distracted the day of that they didn't eat, drink, or get a change to enjoy their wedding. I was determined to have the chillest and most fun day and Sandra made sure that happened! From the beginning, Sandra found us great vendors and set up meetings for us to meet with them. On the day of, Sandra took care of EVERYTHING! I literally worried about nothing except getting ready. Sandra worked with all of our vendors and making sure we stuck to our timeline. Her team even brought us drinks between pictures and made sure we had dinner which I was super grateful for. She made sure I had my lei (which I would've forgotten). These are the little details that can end up being stressful or forgotten that really help to make the day feel flawless. My wedding was one of the happiest days of my life because I had the opportunity to just enjoy it and live in the moment surrounded by our family and friends. If you're in doubt about needing a coordinator, HIRE FINISHING TOUCH! It's worth the investment to be able to enjoy your day stress free :) read more

Sandra and her team did an amazing job! We first connected before the pandemic started and let her know what our dream wedding would look like. She recommended great vendors and did a great job coming up with our wedding design. When our plans had to be changed due to covid restrictions she was flexible and always made us feel at ease. We had to change our guest count at least 3 separate times within a month from the wedding and when other planners may have said its impossible, Sandra and her team went to work and adjusted to the new guidelines. We were able to have our dream wedding with all of our family and friends. We truly couldn't have done it without the help of the Finishing Touch team and will be recommending them to all of our friends and family. read more

I'm not sure if I can find the words to accurately describe the gratitude, appreciation, and admiration I have for Sandra and her team at Finishing Touch, but I'm going to try my best! The BEST decision my husband and I made throughout our wedding planning process was definitely hiring Sandra. I initially inquired with a few other wedding planning/coordinators, but after finding Sandra and speaking with her over the phone, my gut just told me that she's the one! She was very professional, transparent, genuine, and so easy to talk to. She had a kind calmness about her that made me trust and have confidence in her immediately. Sandra communicated with us via organized and scheduled phone calls, as well as through email. She was always prompt in replying, and made sure everything was clear- the timeline, the agenda of each phone call, our homework aka things we need to work on, and the next steps. She never made me feel forgotten or worried that she wasn't keeping track of what we needed to get done. Family and friends kept telling me how stressed out I must be planning a wedding, but I rarely experienced any stress through this entire year of working with her. She made things so seamless for us, which is AMAZING because we planned a wedding with her for a year from a distance (we live in California), and only met in person when we arrived on Oahu a week before our wedding. When we finally met in person to go over our wedding timeline and final things to complete, we felt like we knew her for years! She made us feel so comfortable and excited for our big day. We learned of the possibly of Hurricane Lane (initially a category 5 hurricane) hitting Oahu the weekend of our wedding. We were devastated but hopeful that things would still work out. I truly appreciate how Sandra went above and beyond to assure us that we'd have a Plan B, C, and even D in case our wedding needed to be relocated, postponed, or cancelled if the weather was as bad as expected. Thankfully, the hurricane was downgraded to a tropical storm, which passed Oahu by Friday/Saturday (our wedding was on Sunday). However, our venue had debris from the strong rain and winds, and Sandra kindly made trips to pick up/drop off a leaf blower, arrange for people to kindly help clean up, and so much more. We were hopeful, calm and collected through it all because Sandra made sure to consistently check up on us, comfort us, update us, and make sure we did everything we could to continue the wedding as planned (with the safety of all of us and our loved ones as priority of course). The morning of our wedding, we got the call at 8 am from Sandra that the venue owner would allow us to have the wedding as planned! (If not, we had a Plan B set at a nearby different venue but we were so thrilled that we could still get married at our dream venue) From that moment on, we were just so grateful for this miracle that we didn't have any stress for the rest of the day. If anything wasn't going as planned at the ceremony or reception, we didn't know about it, and I appreciate that!! Haha. It was truly the best day ever, and it makes us so happy to hear from family and friends that they had such a great time and loved the food (which Sandra recommended)! She designed the beautiful layout and took all of our inspiration photos/Pinterest albums to help us create our personalized dream wedding. She recommended a lot of the vendors, and we loved every single one of them. I really appreciated her input and recommendations- she has great taste and has a great eye, but is also very logical/reasonable. When I look at the photos, I can't believe it was our wedding! We were so impressed by how diligent Sandra was to make sure things ran smoothly, and our family and friends noticed too. She did most of the communicating with our vendors for us throughout the whole process, which helped to keep our stress level down and decrease chances of any miscommunication. We love her so much! I highly recommend Finishing Touch. In fact, I even recommended Sandra to my best friend getting married next year and they're currently planning her wedding together now. I'm so excited to see Sandra again next year! Thank you SO much Sandra, for all of your hard work. You truly care about your clients and helping them to have the wedding of their dreams. You truly are the best and we are forever grateful to you and your team! read more

My wife and I planned a destination wedding on Oahu in 2018 and really didn't know where to start. We did about one month of research on venues, vendors, and all the trappings of a destination wedding. In the end, after careful consideration, we entrusted Sandra and the Finishing Touch team to help with the planning and on-site coordination. Sandra is an absolute pro and she made the process seamless and stress-free. We were not able to make it to Hawaii before the wedding and coordinated all the moving parts with Sandra over phone and email. She was always on top of next steps and was great at reminding us about action items. Her organization is definitely something that needs to be mentioned. On the day, Sandra and her team set up the venue and it was BEAUTIFUL. Every decision and detail that we discussed was a part of the wedding and it all went off without a hitch. If you are looking for a planner or on-site coordinator, look no further, she's the best in the biz. read more

When you start planning your wedding, most of us have no idea how many questions and decisions need to to answered and made. Sandra made the process so easy. From the venue availability to vetting vendors and contracts, she took charge and made the process seamless. My vision for my wedding was no where near as beautiful as it actually turned out. It was stunning to see the transformation of the outdoor venue to such a magical place. Sandra and her team worked tirelessly that day to make sure every detail was covered. From start to finish, I didn't have to worry about anything. I highly recommend Sandra and her team if you are planning a wedding in the future. She is full service, puts you at ease from the first meeting and definitely will make your wedding planning life stress free. read more

Hiring a wedding planner was probably the best money I spent throughout the whole wedding planning process. I randomly stumbled upon Finishing Touch and quickly hired them early on in our wedding planning process. I was so impressed with Sandra's attention to detail, quickness to respond to any email, honesty, and professionalism early on in my correspondence with her from the Bay Area. Not to mention, she has connections to all the best vendors in Hawaii who clearly love working with her. I was already incredibly happy working with Sandra throughout the year we planned our wedding, but really felt her impact the day of our wedding. Everything was executed exactly as I wanted- I was able to enjoy my day without a single phone call or worry! So many of our family and friends complimented her professionalism and how on top of things she was. I've heard stories from my friends who were stressed beyond belief from planning their wedding themselves, or things going wrong the day of. I couldn't be more thankful for Sandra's guidance, experience, and expertise in making my wedding a dream. Long story short- she has soo much experience planning and designing weddings. And as you can see from the photos, they all turn out beautiful and amazing! If you are having your wedding in Hawaii, I can't recommend Sandra enough! read more

Sandra and her team are honestly the best of the best out there. I come from the client service side of work as well and to see the level of experience, professionalism and engagement from her was refreshing. My then-fiance (now husband) and I were navigating our wedding in Hawaii, where half of our guests were flying in from the mainland. Because of COVID, we had to switch dates, manage through the constantly changing environment and mandates - but having Sandra who constantly had her ear to the ground really helped us pivot quickly. A few other things we loved about Sandra: she was excellent with communication, super calm when I was frantic, and was a great partner when it came to details and finding solutions to cut costs where we could without sacrificing our ideal look and feel. On the day of the wedding, she and her team were quietly managing everything in the background but they were there in an instance when we needed them. S/O to Cassandra for keeping me calm when it started raining as we were about to walk down the aisle! :) If you need someone who can be there with you from beginning to end, go to Finishing Touch - Sandra simply gets it, has excellent recommendations (including our fantastic DJ), and will ensure you have your dream wedding. We feel so fortunate to have worked with her! read more

The best decision I made early on in my wedding planning process was hiring Sandra Williams from Finishing Touches! Not only was I impressed with her professionalism during our initial consultation, but I also felt like she was so friendly and easy to talk to. A lot of other wedding planners I spoke with were quite intimidating and I didn't really feel comfortable asking them questions. And let's be honest, for most people, planning a wedding is a new concept so you're bound to have a ton of questions. You need a planner that you're comfortable asking questions and advice with. Even as a local, I knew I would need a lot of help planning my wedding since I booked Lanikuhonua as our venue, so I went with Sandra's full wedding planning package. After signing with her, she immediately got the ball rolling with a few vendors I already booked ahead of time. My husband and I told her food was our #1 priority and she definitely gave us a great catering company to go with. All our guests comment to this day that we had the best wedding food they ever had! She gave me a few suggestions on vendors for every category needed at our wedding, and even offered more when I wanted to see what our other options were. I went with 99% of her suggestions and don't regret a single one! She has a close relationship with a lot of excellent vendors on the island, and it really shows when a lot of our vendors would comment on how lucky we are to have Sandra as our planner. She's not afraid to be honest with you about what she thinks about your ideas or selections. If she disagrees with your vision, she does it in the nicest way possible, but won't push you if you're firm on your decision. She was the main contact person for most of my vendors and relayed a lot of the information to me so I didn't have to worry about the logistics of a lot of things. She accompanied me to most of my meetings with my vendors but let me do most of the talking and gave input when she saw that I was indecisive or clueless. I loved how she provided me with a template of the layout of our wedding day so I knew what to expect on the big day. We had a hiccup with one of our vendors a week before the wedding, but Sandra was able to help me contact another vendor last minute (I mean, literally the day before!), and no one was the wiser on the day of! My parents and family members were very impressed by her professionalism and her ability to work closely with them to help make our wedding day a perfect one. So many of our guests, family members, and even vendors informed us that rarely do weddings go as smoothly as ours did that day (literally no drama, no problems, everything went exactly as planned). We had so many guests telling us that it was the best wedding they've ever attended! My husband couldn't stop raving about how beautiful everything was on the day of the wedding, but I had to be honest and admit it was most of Sandra's work and vision that made it so wonderful hehe. After our wedding, Sandra stayed to coordinate the clean up, and helped us package all our decorations, cards, leftover drinks, etc. She even followed up with us after our wedding to give us a run down of what happened behind the scenes and a quick summary of our day. The only comment I can make is that she didn't really keep a close eye on our budget. Granted, I did tell her I wanted to stay in the ballpark of our budget and didn't mind being over budget, but I did have to do the calculations on my own to figure out just how much I was over my budget. If that's something you're concerned about, I would definitely mention it early on that your #1 priority is your budget. Overall, I highly recommend you book Sandra as your wedding planner so you can have the best wedding possible! You won't regret your decision one bit! read more

you know how some people just 'get it' taste wise? these people totally do. and with something like a wedding i would imagine you'd want it to be perfect. wait! don't worry! I'm not getting married anytime soon, ha ha. i just wanted to make sure all the people on here from not oahu know that if they want to plan a destination wedding there is someone very good at that... her name is sandra and i know her because she also has a DOPE ass photobooth that she rents out-- mainly for weddings but also for special fun event stuff. anyway... this girl is a pro to the max. very patient and kind with lots of good contacts and knows EVERYTHING about getting married here. i would say call her if you're even considering a hawaii wedding.... which you should be... it's lovely here. read more

Finishing Touch - Wedding Planning Near Me

First off, I would like to say THANK YOU to Finishing Touch for putting together the wedding of my dreams!!! Sandra was so wonderful to work with! In our initial appointment, we "talked story" and she showed me some wedding photos. Amazingly, from then on, she was able to pinpoint my personal style along with my needs and wants for my wedding. She really got me on the first try! That is when I knew I was in good hands. Sandra took off with my vision and every idea she presented to me thereafter, I was "ooohing" and "aaaahing" over. As time progressed, I learned how impeccable FT were with timeliness in communication, follow-ups, and the ability to coordinate most things via email. Even more impeccable is their taste in design. I am not a creative person especially when trying to put numerous things together to create a cohesive look. As a result, I was able to TRUST them on the design aspect. I did have a few inputs here and there and I appreciate that they were totally receptive to them. In the end, they were able to put together a whimsical look that was just so magical! In fact, the elements during my wedding were so vivid that when I close my eyes, I can still visualize the effects. Luckily there wasn't any time that I was dissatisfied or unhappy with FT. The only minor issue I recall was on the day of my wedding when, as I was waiting to walk down the isle, I spotted an uninvited guest. I texted Sandra the information and they were able to resolve the seating arrangement to accommodate this person. I never heard about it after that text. In terms of logistics, Tristin, handled it without a hitch! I appreciated the detailed timeline she compiled for the vendors and bridal party. As a result, everyone had a script to go by. It was especially nice that I wasn't bothered with ANY phone calls on my wedding day! Zero phone calls! Now that is pretty amazing! My bridal party was also amazed as to how laid back the entire wedding day was. During the entire process, I learned that hiring a wedding planner who has established "friendship" relationships with vendors almost always means good discounts from those vendors. I really got a feel of FT's closeness to the vendors via the email traffic. I also realized I got exceptions because I was a client of FT. For example, my friend wanted to hire a radio personality to MC her wedding but was not able to unless she bought a wedding consultant package from his partner. I don't know what kind of leverage FT had with this situation but they made it happen for me! More so, I know personally that the vendors FT hired for my wedding were top notch vendors! I read about them in our local newspapers, magazines and even see most of them on TV once in a while. Ultimately, I am not able to provide one negative feedback about the work that FT did for my wedding. They are awesome! I could not have hired a better wedding consultant team and believe me, I interviewed a few. A few may come close on the logistic side of wedding planning, but FT takes it to a whole other level with their keen taste in style and detail! It says a lot when your guests are still raving about your wedding! Mahalo Finishing Touch! -Gayle read more

Lei and Sandra were a dream to work with and we would not have been able to have the wedding of our dreams without them! In the early stages of planning we were hyper focused on cost savings and were going to try to do most of the planning ourselves, but our venue required a day of coordinator. Finishing Touch was highly recommended by a friend of the family and so we reached out. They were very professional, fair and honest laying out all of our options. After consulting with them, we decided to do the full wedding planning service and when all was said and done, were so thankful for that decision. They helped us through postponing our wedding and were always so hopeful and professional while we navigated through our emotions. Within three days of meeting with them to discuss our postponement they had taken care of everything and we had a new wedding date! I cannot say enough amazing things about these two ladies. They truly were a blessing to work with and I would recommend them times 1000 to anyone planning a wedding in Hawaii. Professional, organized, genuine, kind hearted, simply a dream! My husband and I started planning our wedding after our engagement in September 2021. We started searching for wedding coordinators and had initial conversations with a few, but there wasn't any that really caught our attention or felt was the best fit for us. We kept searching online and found Finishing Touch's website and was captivated by the style, elegance, and simplicity of their site (people always say first impressions matter). We knew then and there that this would be the perfect fit for us. Once we inquired about their services, Sandra was very informative and welcoming. Her positive attitude, professionalism, creativity, and organizational skills made this entire process so easy and smooth. Having a destination wedding definitely has its challenges, but Sandra and Lei kept us updated through zoom meetings and emails. They recommended amazing vendors and made sure everything fit into our budget. After our wedding, our guests could not stop raving about how beautiful our wedding was and how everything ran so smoothly. Honestly, I felt sad saying bye to Sandra and Lei at the end of the night because they were with us throughout the entire process and played a huge part in one of the most important celebrations of our lives. It was definitely bittersweet. Finishing Touch helped put our visions to life, and we could not have done this without their help and guidance. Sandra and Lei are an incredible team, and we could not have been more pleased. There aren't enough words to express our gratitude! Trusting Sandra and Lei to design and coordinate our most memorable day was the best decision made! read more
