The shop is larger and more comfortable that the previous locations. The fees are literally all over the map. While sitting there I heard conversations about a range of free with a voucher to $40 and up to $80 for a simple electronic transmission of prints. The service took just over 25 minutes from walking in to registering, paying and then getting printed. The DISGRACE was the payment tablet actually asked for a tip of 15 to 25%. Really? The actual fingerprinting takes about 5 minutes and is transmitted electronically. That is the whole "service". Nearly ALL instances of getting fingerprints is a "requirement" for a job or volunteer situation. A tip, really? Not to mention that they have signed contracts with agencies for the exclusive and mandatory "service". So people cannot opt to go to RPD, SPD or the Sheriff's office where the fees are less than half the price and it would be illegal to accept a tip. I wonder if State regulators like the Nevada Gaming Control Board are aware that this business is soliciting tips from casino workers? Or if they share the tips with the agencies leadership? read more

I came to get my fingerprints done and I had mentioned I had a voucher through my agency. I was told to email it to them since I did not have a physical copy of the voucher. I emailed it within a few minutes. In addition, they asked me to register which I had done at home several days ago. I was told to have a seat and once they received the email, I would be called on. After over an hour, my name was never called. I went up to the receptionist and she went through the same process as she I first came in. I even told her "yes you already went through that" and "I've been here for an hour already." Didn't apologize for the delay nor not following up in regard to the email. Very upset. I was a walk-in today for fingerprinting + a TB test; While I expected a long wait since the appointments were filled up online, it only took about 20min for them to call me back! I expressed to the employee that last time I came in for a TB test I almost passed out from the blood draw portion and somehow she was able to make the process so smooth and comfortable that it was over before I knew it. I requested pricing through Yelp for a notary and the owner was quick to respond and made my appointment as I requested. Upon arrival, the waiting room was busy and oddly warm. I checked-in and was told the wait would be around 5-10 minutes, so I decided to wait outside. It was about 10 minutes until they called my name. The guy helping me was not very friendly, he had no personality and was pretty awkward. He asked me a few questions, signed my doc, and then we proceeded to the front desk for payment. The process took about 5 minutes. For 1 signature, it was $15, which I thought was pretty reasonable. I paid with card and then there was an option to give a tip. The guy was staring me down when I got to this point, I'm sorry, but a tip should be earned and the customer shouldn't feel pressured to give a tip if they didn't receive solid service. I said thank you once he handed me a receipt and he didn't really say anything to me. Overall, if you're looking for a quick and easy spot to get a document notarized, this is a good option. Just be sure to make an appointment. The only downside was the customer service wasn't the greatest. read more

The employees work well together communicating with one another about what each customer needs. While interacting with the staff they have been professional,helpful, and personable. We have now officially visited Reno's Fingerprinting Express three times. All three visits went swimmingly well. The ladies there are extremely helpful and nice to you. They realize you maybe new to this and walk you through, politely. They do a better job with prints than my local sheriff's department. Again, their prints turned out better than our sheriff's department. It's a long story, but the state of Alaska couldn't make out the CCSD prints but had no trouble with the ones from Fingerprinting Express. Wow! So, the sheriff charged $8 for useless prints, these ladies charged $20, but that did the trick and I'm licensed to work in one more state. We also needed documents notarized. My bank does it for free, but they tend to be a pain about it. For only $15 I got it done here. I hated to pay for something I can get for free, but for the convenience alone it's worth a few bucks. I had to obtain fingerprints for an employer and had a totally seamless visit. Unfortunately they were very time sensitive and the closest appointment I could make was for a week away so i had to do a walk in visit. In total it took about 45 minutes from check in to completion. The waiting area is comfortable and clean and the staff was very friendly, they were being overly helpful to a person who was having all sorts of difficulties, that's always nice to see. read more

I was a walk in today, and I must say that from start to finish my experience was wonderful - including a VERY short wait! I needed live scan fingerprints and a photo for a government website that I never could have navigated without the help of 3 wonderful ladies there. Drew greeted me when I entered, walked me through the process - which included using a "QR" code. Now, I'm not very comfortable using that kind of a code - in fact, I find them daunting and hard to use. But she helped me with my cell phone camera and, with her help, I successfully navigated an intimidating government web site. Then Shaylee called me to get my digital prints - another first for me. But she was very kind and patient and explained everything that needed to be done. When we were done, she helped my download everything to a thumb drive I could take with me! Huzzah! Sadly, I did not get the third young lady's name working there as well, but she was great too. She helped me navigate a particularly difficult section I had to fill out on the government web site. All 3 of them were kind, courteous, helpful, and seemed genuinely interested in good old fashioned "customer care" - which too often seems a disappearing talent with businesses. All 3 of them were excellent ambassadors for their company! The cost of the service was very reasonable, and, when taken in perspective of how easy they made the experience, a real bargain!
