All of the people who used to work there have been replaced and the quality of the manicures and service is terrible. The new manager is rude and unfriendly. I don't really ever go to a nail spa that I am unfamiliar with because it usually doesn't come out the way I'd like it to. However, this place did very well. I had gotten French gel and it came out very nice. The whole experience was very nice . Cici is such a sweetheart and did a very nice job with the 10 minute massage I had gotten. I never write negative reviews about establishments even when I receive poor treatment - but this was next level and I need to put out a warning. DO NOT GO HERE FOR GEL EXTENSION, ESPECIALLY REMOVAL!!!! I live in LA, I have gotten gel extension nails every few weeks or so since I was 23. I am originally from Manhasset. When I come home, I used to take a train into Flushing to go to a specific salon that had the brand of gel extension nail I like, Apres, but then I saw Finger Nail started doing apres gel extension nails. I work with a private nail tech in LA who takes THE BEST quality care of my nails, both natural and fake. While I was home this week, one nail broke, so I figured I would get a new set at Finger Nail. The only way I can describe the appointment is violent and anxiety inducing. Two different nail techs each took one of my hands and started essentially beating my nails, violently attacking them with a filer and drill. On one hand each of my nails was burning and I have a crazy high pain tolerance. They kept making comments about "how thick" my current set was, to which I said "because it's good quality." They could not remove quality applied apres gel nails. After an hour removal, I touched my natural nails and my once thick, healthy, beautiful nails that I pour money and 3 hour appointments into preserving were incredibly weak & brittle. I'm talking cannot have gel x nails put on for at least 3 weeks, they need to heal THAT much. Before the nail tech could put new nails on, I told her I was good here and just wanted to leave. I was trying not to cry as I paid for my removal - even though I shouldn't have paid at all because this was paying for someone to harm my body. The manager insisted that I must not have had apres nails on or normal gel nails on - Sir, I've done regular apres nail extensions for four years. So now they're being rude to me, hurting me, and calling me a liar. I said "If you couldn't do it, why didn't you just tell me that and I would have gone someplace else rather than damaging my nails?" It was the most stressful 'appointment' that left me in tears. Now, I can't have nails for weeks and I ALWAYS have nails. To think, I just wanted a single nail fixed and I decided to take a chance on them. Shame on them. read more

"Regular" pedicure is not really an option here, you're only given actual service if you choose one of their spa packages. Kudos for taking me right away even when full house. Great selection of colors organized by shades meticulously. My guy was attentive and friendly as Asians always are. There seemed to be an inordinate amount of young kids and Tweens but otherwise normal crowd of women. No male clients anywhere. I always ask for my cuticles to be pushed back and not cut. So not impressed with this place. Its convenient so i have tried it a few times for pedicures. Theres on person working here who everytime here i have seen speak in a different language look at peoples feet, even once point at someones calius removal and start laughing. Which is so beyond unprofessional. I also spent 65 dollars on a pedicure, treating myself and was not impressed they barely clean your nails at all. The actual gel manicure was great however once I came to pay I was then told that there was an extra $10 charge is $10 charge because I decided to use a glitter color this was never told to me when I chose the color and they purposefully waited until I had to pay and then argued with me that of course it would be extra. I told the owner that my point is not paying extra my point is that you tell the customer that from the beginning so they can choose what they feel like doing instead of making them then pay for a charge that they did not know was going to happen. I cant stand when I get a mani and some of my nails aren't fully covered from edge to edge and others have the polish bleeding into my cuticle area. Very inconsistent manicure by Michelle. I also got a pedicure which was not bad. Maybe the manicure was bad because the girl did it at the same time that I was getting my pedicure and not at a manicure station either beforehand or afterwards. The drying station there is one small fan blowing on your nails. Some places I've been to have the dryers that blow cool air to help speed the drying process. Only plus I would say is that they have a ton of colors and brands to chose from, but I most likely will not be going back again. read more

No stars! I've been having my nails manicured in one fashion or another for over 40 years. This is the worst nail salon I have ever been to. I've tried their Gel powder manicure three times and only one or two days after each and every Manicure my nails Begin to chip and crack. They don't do the correct job Initially and when you bring this to their attention they are rude and unpleasant. A gel manicure should be good for at least two weeks. They treat their customers like cattle and I can only imagine the reason they have business is because of the parking lot behind their store. Powder gel manicure at $35 is a complete waste of money. So, I never really write reviews but this time it needs to be done. I've been getting the $20 gel manicure there since Thanksgiving and have always had a great experience. This past time, last Wednesday, was one of the worst and I will not be going back. Over the course of the months I've been getting gel, my nails have grown out to a beautiful length naturally. I decided I needed a manicure and went in. They were soaking my nails and instead of waiting until the gel was fully ready to come off, Sophia scrapped the polish off and proceeded to file my nails very thin to get the rest off. The manicure was fine, with a sub par massage but i was okay with it and paid (plus tip) and left. The next day, every single nail broke at the edge of nail and peeled off and the polish chipped. I will not be going back after this experience. I was able to ignore the rude looks, speaking about customers in front of them, and the lack of cleanliness but after spending so much time and money on my nails and having them ruined the next day is the last straw. I will be looking for another salon now. read more

This place is not sanitary. They use used files and scrubs. Per NY health code it's supposed to be brand new for each customer. Every time I've gone in the past I had to ask for a clean set. They rush you on and 2 hours after I got home the nail was already chipping. They use old nail polish. read more

I have been to this nail salon quite a few times. Generally, it is a good salon but some things tick me off. Likes: they're cheap. It's about $8 for a regular manicure, and I've only gotten my eyebrows waxed and it's the same price. Also, they take walk-in appointments and you usually only have to wait a few minutes for a person to assist you. if you get the full mani-pedi, it's $25, which I guess is an OK price for both. Dislikes: The men give you the pedicures. I for one prefer that a woman gives me a pedicure. That is all. Also, when I have gone in in the past to get just a manicure, they make you pay the $8 right then and there like before they even apply the nail polish! how stupid. Another thing I didn't like (maybe it was just the girl working there) but I went in to get a manicure and waxed my eyebrows. I requested the eyebrows, and she asked me "lip" meaning did i want my lip waxed. that was sort of rude to me, and I was like excuse me I don't want that. just my eyebrows. A regular manicure doesn't last more than a day. Needless to say, there are 3 other nail salons (one across the street) that I've had better experiences with. I will not be returning here. read more

Been coming here since they opened which I think is at least 9 years. They've been pretty consistent. The salon is nice and clean and everyone has their own tools assigned to them with a points card. The selection of colors is insane. Hundreds at least. They have a lot of services to choose from and you can redeem points for free services. I'll probably keep coming here unless they get really bad for some reason. read more

I am giving Manhasset's "Fingernail" one star for speedy service but all else falls miserably short here! Yes, I have been here many times out of convenience over the years and ignored the surly owner (whom all employees seem unhappy with) and the rushed and dismissive attitude because there are a few gentle and kind women who do a good job. HOWEVER, the last time I was there with my daughter it was absolutely awful and I will NEVER go back again. They did a terrible job on my toes (only one coat) and a terrible job on both my daughter's fingers and toes (my manicure person was fine). But, the worst part was that they were mean to my daughter and made her feel uncomfortable. What a shame when we went to do something nice together. I saw the man giving her the pedicure and tossing her feet around roughly like he was annoyed and then speaking to the manicurist, clearly about my daughter, and laughing. Not ok! Just odd and unnecessary. I am out for good on this establishment. Life is too short!! Go somewhere for a recharge as getting a manicure and pedicure is a form of self care. Done! read more

i'm 15 years old and i've heard rumors of them trying to cheat young girls for more money. i guess the rumors were true. i asked for a gel manicure ($25) and a regular pedicure ($20) and they gave me a supposed gel pedicure (+$20) when i go to pay they said i had to pay $73 dollars when i was expecting to pay $45. they made this mistake and eventually, after negotiation, they told me they will take it off and put on a regular. i have had present experiences here but i will never return. this was more than a disappointment. read more
