When we arrived, we had trouble getting into door #1 but we figured it out. It was stuck and you had to push it hard to get it open. We wished there was more closet space or more space to put our two suitcases. The road The Bond is located on gave me "Pet Semetary" vibes... it's a highway with many fast cars and semi trucks driving by and there's no barrier between the grass and the road. Definitely keep your pets on a leash. Also to note, my husband was under the impression The Bond was located on the lake based on the photos from the website and the room we stayed in was advertised as "Lake View King, Room 1". This b&b is actually located across highway 41 from the lake and we could barely see it. This was a disappointment.

They offer you a sparkling drink upon check-in and it all went very smoothly. My room is on the first floor and was very accessible to all of the hotels amenities. Immediately upon entering my room, I noticed how very spacious it was! I had a double room and enjoyed every second of it. Bathroom had a very nice shower and the water got nice and hot the way I like it. Bed was extremely comfortable and I slept like a baby each night I was there. I didn't hear any of my neighbors. Spa was also very nice. Highly recommended for the use of the private hot tub alone! There were a lot of kids during my stay and it was nice to be able to escape from them on the other more private side. Please note! There is a free shuttle that's included with your stay that goes into the town every hour. That was super nice! There are also free s'more supplies at the front desk to be used for the fire pits in the back!

We knew it was a gamble and things would definitely need to worked on or tweaked. I went to the spa for the day and while both my massage and facial were great, the rest was not. All of the outdoor amenities were closed. The small hot tub in the relaxation area was crowded. I also had a similar experience as another reviewer where I had minimal explanation or tour. I did not realize until this last time I visited that you had to ask for the salt room to be turned on. I had no idea what I was doing sitting in a confined room with some salt on the wall? I was shocked at an $8 delivery fee for a beverage one flight up! We were going to have dinner at the restaurant but after looking at the menu, hearing how expensive it is, and seeing only one table dining, we decided against it and took the complimentary shuttle into the village. We did have after dinner cocktails at the restaurants bar which were fantastic, but the restaurant was still empty. We spent the night and the room was fantastic. I recently attended the spa with some friends and honestly can't say much has improved since my original visit. When I arrived they said I was there for a 1030am facial and a 430pm massage. I said no that is incorrect I booked them back to back. The woman at reception stated they have a confirmation phone call that someone spoke with me and I confirmed. I 100% never received a phone call/voicemail from the spa. I never would have confirmed this either as I wanted the services back to back timing. She then went on to say, they left me a voicemail. So I say they didn't speak to me, but now it's they left a VM? I also did not have a VM. I went through my 100s of spam emails and found a confirmation email, unread and never confirmed. The receptionist was kind enough to offer a "one time complimentary cancel", gee thanks. There clearly are some issues with their booking system. We also never filled out the spa forms which I think should be mandatory for all guests, especially if people have medical or health concerns. Never once did they ask me to fill it out prior to my services. We did get a tour this time which was ok. They have these new barrel saunas which cost an additional $95 for 50min I believe!! I find it strange there is not one clock to be found. I don't like to carry my phone around and it would be nice to know what time it is so we are able to be in the relaxation area in time for our services. We had lunch in the restaurant in our robes, because we refused to pay a delivery fee and wanted something more substantial than the mere few spa snack items. I had the pizza on special and espresso martini which both were phenomenal! My friends also enjoyed their dishes. My one friend ordered a daiquiri but what she received was a margarita. They were accommodating and corrected it. Overall, two pretty meh visits. Unless they improve a lot or the prices come down, I'm not sure I'll visit again.

And by saying being able to sleep what I mean is people checking out at 10:00 a.m. with their kids running up and down the halls making noise and the hotel staff cleaning the rooms sometimes having loud conversations. All of this is perfectly fine usually because typically nobody is trying to sleep at 10:00 in the morning except for me. This place worked out well because they have individual bungalows. There is no hallway to run up and down and make noise and make noise, there are neighbors but there's a space in between each bungalow so you're not going to hear them. We didn't actually check in for my Friday night stay until about 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning. It was nice and quiet and we were able to get to sleep rather quickly. The room itself was super clean, The kitchen did not have a stove or a hot plate however we weren't really in need of one. They did have some snacks available as complimentary in the room. Nothing huge I mean a couple granola bars and some oatmeal and a couple little bags of chips however compared to other places I've stayed that offer nothing except a vending machine down the noisy hallway... Yeah this was much better :-) If you're looking to do something in the Skaneateles area , this place is literally 2 minutes down the road from the center of town. They of course offer a late check in arrangement that I was very happy to take advantage of. They leave your room key in a secure area with a note that has any information you may need and an emergency phone number if you need to wake them up for anything. So I by all means recommend staying here If you're in the area.

There was Oui yogurt, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, cheese, a variety of cereal, oatmeal, milk, orange juice, coffee, and tea. She had also generously stocked cookies from a bakery, granola bars, bags of nuts, biscotti, and other easy-to-grab snacks. Our suite was beautiful. My pictures don't really do it justice, but there were two chairs, a drawer, table, and a TV in one side, and everything we needed for a bedroom on the other. Katie also provided luxurious bathrobes and luxury shampoo and conditioner (TeaTree). We also had access to the dining room and living room, which made it feel like we had a home away from home. One of my favorite parts of the house though was the front porch, which contained two swings and two chairs. I loved starting my morning on the covered porch and will have a hard time leaving that behind. The location is incredible, allowing us to walk to the lake, restaurants, and any shops we wanted to visit. Katie was the perfect host. The decor was stunning and our experience couldn't have been better.

We were on a fast trip for a wedding and allowed us only to spend two nights at 34 State. We so appreciated Katie & Jack's kindness, hospitality and helpfulness. Not to mention getting kisses from their beautiful lab, Oakley. We stayed in the elegant Barrow Suite. It's on the second floor as is their other suite, but they are working on a suite on the first floor for those with problems walking up stairs. Continental breakfast awaited us every morning as a fridge stocked with yogurt, fresh fruit, beer and many more items. I commented they were out of water and upon our return, not only was the fridge fully restocked, but a note with a special touch was provided. It is within walking distance to downtown Skaneateles without staying right in the middle of the main road. There is a big dinning room and living room, along with a beautiful porch with a swing to spend the afternoons drinking a cocktail. They attend to every need you may have i.e. reservations to restaurants and will follow up with restaurant to make sure you had a great experience and the best table. Although the inn has central air, on this warm humid May weekend some air circulation in the room above the set house temp would have been good. Still - Sabina gave us a fan for the room and lowered the temperature a bit for our second night there! Also, considering it is wine country, I'd suggest individual refrigerators for each room as opposed to one shared mini-fridge for all the guests to share. Guests should also be aware that if you chose a room in the font of the house that the occasional late night truck traffic on US 20 may disturb the lighter sleeper. Those points asiide, I'd agree with our breakfast mate who has stayed at the inn 3 times.... deffiinitely a repeat if we're back in the area!
