I submitted a sample request through Carpets in Dalton because their website clearly advertises up…read moreto 10 free carpet samples so customers can compare texture and quality before purchasing. After waiting several weeks with no samples, I called to follow up. The salesperson told me, "We're in the business of selling carpet, not giving it away." I explained that my intent was to buy carpet, and that I was specifically trying to determine what type would work best in a home with dogs. I asked if he could recommend suitable carpet types or help me choose samples. His response was essentially, "I don't know what to tell you," and he said the company would not provide the samples. That was especially frustrating because the company's own website explicitly advertises free samples as part of the buying process and says customers can describe what they need if they don't know the exact style. I was actively trying to spend money with this company and was met with zero interest in helping me make a purchase. If your website promotes free samples and assistance choosing carpet, your sales staff should at least be aware of that policy. Very disappointing experience.
