On top of that, the quality of their work is fantastic. Among other great things about their work, they did a beautiful job matching the existing wood molding in our home with the new construction they did on our bathroom. Price-wise, they were right in the middle of the road compared to the other estimates I received. Where things fell short for me was communication. I know contractor-client dynamics can be tricky, but as the project progressed, it became increasingly unclear what the actual timeline or next steps were. The project ran longer than the original estimate, and I was never given updated, reliable estimates for completion. (Part of this was due to scheduling inspectors which had nothing to do with Iron Castle, but even factoring in the inspection wait time, the project went beyond the initial estimate.) Toward the end, communication broke down and workers would show up on days without prior notice, even after I explicitly asked to be kept in the loop on scheduling. That was stressful because we had our work to take care of. Big picture: Iron Castle does high-quality, beautiful work, and they are good people. But while I love the finished product, the process of getting there was not what I would have expected.

I've sent over via VENMO to @JayKazz with Kazz Handyman Services $1575 on 7/30/2025 at 2:35 pm for agreed work, but the work was never performed. Contractor is ignoring my request to return the funds. Clear breach of agreement and using VENMO for fraud. I know have to go through the process of writing to Venmo, Yelp, filing police reports, complaint to the state contractor board, BBB and small claims court just for $1575.
