We were happy with this mobile locksmith. Responsive, professional, and reasonably priced. He did four locks at our house and fixed an old cabinet that we had lost the key for. I'd use Finch's again. read more

Don is awesome ~ he is a very nice guy and is always available when called upon!! I Highly recommend this business ~

Don Finch is the man to beat ... but I don't think you will. I got locked out of my house late Friday afternoon, on Easter weekend. Since Don is in Norwalk & it was Friday rush hour, he actually gave me the name of a locksmith in Fairfield so I could get help more quickly. So straightaway I'm thinking, "He's suggesting a competitor that's much closer to me? Who DOES that?" So I called said competitor (1 mile away) only to hear him say it's his day off, so the cost would be $275 or more. No thank you. I then called another local, & he tried to pick the lock, but couldn't. So he stuck a wedge between the door & the frame, and started to force the wedge in, until I asked him what the hell he was doing. He said he needed to move the door away from the frame to get a tool in between them & get the door open that way. End of story for that guy. At this point I called Don back & told him that if he were willing to make the trip, I'd be more than happy to wait for him. He arrived in record time, and as soon as I saw him I knew he was the real deal. He had to drill out the cylinder on front door, and he was able to replace it with a cylinder he had with him. But here's the kicker - he personally "customized" the new cylinder, by *somehow* reconfiguring the inside of it, so I can still use my old key from the cylinder that he drilled out! So now I still have ONE key that can open all of my doors. This, my friends, is what's known as an old-world craftsman. In this day & age they are extremely hard to come by, and when you find one, you hold onto him. Don is a keeper, and I feel lucky, indeed, to have crossed paths with him. He is a true craftsman and a gem of a gentleman. I'll recommend him to everyone I know. read more

Don showed up as planned and efficiently installed new door hardware, A pro and a gentleman.

I reached out to Dan to install new locks and rekey them all. I like to support local small businesses and after reading the other Yelp reviews he seemed like the guy. He was professional, knowledgeable, reasonable and a pleasure to work with. I unhesitatingly highly recommend him to anyone looking for a quality locksmith. read more

He went to great lengths to help me get a key duplicated (not an easy one). Saved me a lot of time and money, and I'm grateful for old-school craftsmen like this. Happy to give a 5-star rating for such superior and professional service. read more

Purchased a new house and needed the locks changed. So I scoped out the options on Yelp and came across Don, a hidden gem in a sea of bait and switchers. Getting in touch with Don was very easy, I sent him and email and he replied back with amazing detail. It felt personal and like I was dealing with a small business with real people, not the AAA Locksmith 123 you find most everywhere else. I had to replace deadbolts and wanted to match keys. Don made it easy scheduling and appointment with great turn around. He was upfront with prices and actually saved me some money with his recommendations. Always refreshing to work with someone so honest. When it was time to get the Job done, he showed up and lived up to the expectations. It was easy, fast, and fairly priced. Don even told me if I needed something else I could always stop by his shop. All around great business, traditional, fair, honest, integrity. Thanks Don . read more

Finch's came out right away when my tenant was having a problem with our lock and was happy to conduct business with me remotely over the phone. Their advice was honest & direct including to use an alternative to the OE lock for our application. Did work on my sister's rental property several times and came highly recommended--fast, reliable, good service. Friendly and professional. When we recently broke a key in our car door lock, these guys were super-helpful and charged only a minimal fee. Very much appreciated their good service! read more

We used him over and over again for a local business. He always did a good and professional job. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone with locksmith needs. read more

Seems to a decent honest man running a small local business. Got locked out of my alarmed business, and after 5 calls to others, I ended up with Finch's. Seems the local independents know which locals are better. The guy came, did what he had to do, which was not easy considering the type of secure locks I have. It took a while, but in the end I got back in. His pricing was also reasonable, considering this was kind of a rush job. read more
