Worth the drive across town! Website is up to date on where the food truck will be. Food takes about 20 mins and we'll worth it. I'm not a huge conch fritter fan but these are the best that ever graced my lips. Crisp to perfection and meaty. The griot tacos were the chefs kiss. Full of griot and sauced to perfection. The pikles gave it the kick I needed. The mango lemonade was so sweet and refreshing and my partner said the voodoo punch was delish. Will be back !!!!

Amazing hospital food

Great guy! Fin saved me from the mediocrity of hospital food. Beating the heat with the delight of Watermelon Lemonade freshly squeezed. I went there twice to devour the menu. The Griot tacos were refreshing, and the tortillas were fresh and crunchy. Amazing pickliz.

My apartment complex once a month invites a food truck for the tenants to enjoy, Fin's Kitchen has been a few times and I always get excited when they announced them. I'm from the Caribbean and their food is pretty similar to the food from back home and that island seasoning you're looking for. They have a good variety of options in their menu, from quesadillas, fried pork, wings, tacos and more. The only negative why I took a star, is their constant changing of prices, but still worth it.

Chicken be Stickin Yummy!!

Food is absolutely yummy!!! The owner definitely puts his heart and skills into the food created. I love the Fin's Chicken Sandwich that's fried to Perfection and a Delicious Tangy House Sauce!! Then sometimes I have the Shrimp Tacos and Tried a Coco Soda for the First Time! Everything is Fresh & Sometimes there are surprise goodies on the truck....I can go on and on! I can't wait to try the new Voodoo Punch I see online The truck is super super clean and I felt completely safe with the CDC guidelines during this time. Check them out so catch their schedule since it's a Food Truck. Lastly they are Black Owned and Humble

Hands down the best fried chicken I have ever had from a restaurant--so flavorful and perfectly crisp. This was our second time dining here; the first time being shortly after they opened. The restaurant is really beautiful inside with accents of green and gold and white. Outdoors, there's plenty of table space, a bar, and a stage for live music. It looked like it has been expanded since my first time there. I'm glad to see this restaurant doing well in Old Town Pompano. Our server was very friendly and assisted us with our questions about the menu. As we were there for brunch, we settled on fried green tomatoes Eggs Benedict, steak and eggs, and shrimp and grits. The fresh biscuits sounded so good that we ordered them. We should have asked for them to come out early, so we could enjoy them while we were waiting. However, we took them home and enjoyed them the next day. We also made the mistake of ordering a side of potatoes. That was definitely not necessary because two of the entrées came with potatoes, and we had more than plenty for the table. Again, something we enjoyed the next day. We were all impressed with what we ordered. Everything came out hot and cooked just as we had asked. My shrimp and grits were absolutely delicious. I also thought it was also nice that our server asked if we wanted to take our refilled drinks to go and prepared to go cups for us. This restaurant has been consistent for us, and I definitely plan to be back. Next time, I'd like to check out their live music scene and get a table outside when the weather gets a little cooler.

I ordered the crab cake sandwich with Brussels sprouts and fries, and I typically cannot finish an entire restaurant meal in one sitting. Apparently, this restaurant found my weakness because I ate every. damn. bite. Not a crumb. Not a fry. Not a Brussels sprout left behind. My plate looked like it had been through a forensic investigation. The food was THAT good. The restaurant itself is also adorable--small, cozy, and intimate. It genuinely feels like you walked into someone's beautiful home for dinner. 10/10 on the food and atmosphere. And then came the service... Sweet baby Jesus. Our waitress appeared to be suffering from a severe case of "I have a much more important table than you." Our party of four was apparently the table she never wanted to see. She was so preoccupied with a large table in the other room that every time she came near us, she looked like she had just been informed we were personally responsible for her bad day. There were eye rolls. There were long stretches with no drink refills. There were looks. And then one of our guests asked for coffee. Her response? "Well, now I have to brew it." Ma'am. I'm sorry our request for a beverage at a restaurant has caused such an inconvenience to your evening. When I was ordering my food, she literally cut me off mid-sentence and moved on to the next person. Apparently my order was interfering with whatever important business was happening in the other room. At that point I was wondering if we were dining at a restaurant or accidentally interrupting her lunch break. And the timing? TWO HOURS. It took two hours for four adults to eat and get our bill. The food took forever to arrive, and then the bill apparently had to be delivered by Pony Express. The 20% tip I left last night was honestly above and beyond what I felt the service deserved and still considerably less than what I normally leave. Would I come back? For the food? Absolutely. For that service? I'd rather fight a raccoon. If I walked in and saw that same waitress assigned to us again, I might just quietly back out the door like Homer Simpson disappearing into the bushes. It's honestly a shame because the food was fantastic, the restaurant is adorable, and this could have been a really wonderful birthday dinner. Instead, we left with full stomachs, empty glasses, and a newfound appreciation for restaurants where the staff actually appear to enjoy the presence of their customers. Food: 10/10 Atmosphere: 9/10 Service: -10/10 And just to be clear... these are MY complaints. My guests have their own list. So stay tuned, because apparently I'm not the only one who left with a review.

There are a lot of athletes, trainers and even MMA fighters that come here because of the health content of the food; especially for those who focus on protein as the main ingredient. I recommend the impossible burger but honestly, you will absolutely not go wrong with whatever you end up choosing. The heat and eat meals they sell are only 500 calories, balanced, intelligently proportioned and taste VERY good! The price is also unbeatable. Several friends I have turned on to Sidewalk Chef will go at the beginning of every week and buy a bunch of heat and eat meals and just freeze them and then have their lunch and dinner for the week. It turns out to be less time consuming and more cost efficient than shopping at Publix ALL the time. Parking was conveniently located right in front of the restaurant, making it an easy stop. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted and invited to sit wherever we liked. We chose a table near the window and immediately appreciated the intimate and charming atmosphere. The restaurant also features a bar and televisions, creating a relaxed and welcoming vibe. Our waitress was pleasant, attentive, and made us feel right at home, which always enhances the dining experience. Although we weren't extremely hungry, the menu had so many appealing options that we decided to sample a few items. We started with the Caribbean Tea shots, which were unique, refreshing, and surprisingly enjoyable. For drinks, we ordered a Malbec and a Peanut Butter Old Fashioned. Our first entrée was the Churrasco Frites, featuring marinated skirt steak topped with chimichurri and served with twister fries. The steak was cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful, but those fries were the true star of the dish. Still wanting more, we ordered the Garlic Parmesan Twice Cooked Wings. They were nicely prepared and satisfying, though I would have enjoyed a stronger garlic flavor. Not quite finished, we moved on to the Oaxaca Burger, an 8 ounce burger stacked with onion rings, bacon jam, house BBQ sauce, and Oaxaca cheese. This was one of the best burgers I've ever had, and possibly the best. The bun was toasted yet soft, the burger was seasoned perfectly, and it was cooked to a juicy medium temperature. Every bite was packed with flavor. Overall, everything we ordered was excellent, and the service and atmosphere made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning.
