My friend suggested we visit here because she had a lot of credits and wanted to gift me one of them. (We had originally planned to go up to the Crater for some relaxation, but weather was doing Utah weather things and this was a safer option for doing a heckin relax.) She comes here a lot and has earned them being a loyal customer, but it was still very kind of her to offer one to me. We both prefer a more feminine touch, and in order to both have a massage therapist that fit our preference we scheduled our hour massages back to back. I am forgetful, and have forgotten her name, and I'm sorry, but she was fantastic. I would definitely come back again. Apparently another new thing that's popped up in my adventures with anxiety is that I am uncomfortable putting my face in the donut hole, how fun for me. She was awesome though, she said we could modifty it so I could lay on my back and sides, like they do for pregnant people. I was nervous, but this turned out fine. She had a great sense of how much talking I felt comfortable with, and I found her easygoing and kind. I only wish I could remember her name. They did have extras, or "enhancements," you could add on to your massage, such as hot stones, CBD, or aromatherapy, but I decided not to do anything extra. The temptation was there! The value of a one hour massage is $100, and they did have square so I could tip appropriately even though I did not have any cash on me. I was hoping to release tension in my upper back and neck but the therapist could not quite get deep enough or help relieve that. It was relaxing, but I would not pay for the service again. My husband had a different therapist obviously, but he also said that he felt like it was not a deep massage to relieve the tension, but more of just a gentle back rub with oils. We decided on the "date float" where 2 people are inside a pod. The lid available to us was about the side of a full mattress. When you enter the room, you see the pod, a bench, a couple of changing areas and a shower stall. There's a lock on the door so you can keep your personal belongings safe. You're allowed 10 mins to rinse off and then get into the pod. We saw something floating in the water and I'm not sure what it was it it grossed me out. Maybe it was lint, but it's not comfortable to see when you're about to get naked and go inside. As soon as the capsule closed, I felt very trapped and suddenly claustrophobic. It also didn't help that the "full mattress" area didn't seem like enough room for the two of us to float comfortably without touching each other or slashing one another. I've never done this before, but I thought the keys would come on while I'm floating. So it also scared me thinking it was going to blast at me any minute. I lasted maybe 3 minutes before getting out and rinsing off. It also didn't help that I saw another couple pay for their services before we entered probably the same room and the same pod. I understand their run the jets to clean it, but just the thought of another couple being in the same pod in the same water made me feel icky. My boyfriend enjoyed it and it helped his hip. He also enjoyed that he had the big space to himself lol. For starters, I am also a massage therapist, and have been getting massages my entire life and it's really hard to make me feel unsettled during them. I usually love coming to places like this, and came in last night because my hamstrings were incredibly tight. The room was dead silent and had no music which wasn't the end of the world but made it feel a little awkward. The guy massaging me was mostly just pushing lotion around and I asked 3-4 times for more pressure, he said ok, and then didn't go any deeper. To make matters worse, I'm nearly positive he was texting through most of it. His phone would vibrate right by my head, and then suddenly he'd only have one hand kinda absently thumbing at my neck for a minute or two. He had the sheet draped almost off my butt it was so low but despite this, didn't ever work into my glutes at all. My feet were also never worked. I got him to go a bit deeper on my legs which is what I mostly needed, but again, just palm kneading. He then left, I assumed he went to get something but after ten minutes (of only an hour long massage) passed, I started to wonder if it was supposed to be over but when I lifted my head the door was wide open for anyone to walk by. Eventually, a woman came back in, grabbed the sheet so suddenly and almost pulled it entirely off of me, until it was once again, draped along the bottom of my butt. She then undraped both of my legs so the fabric was sorta just piled up between my thighs (this is an illegal drape by the way) , and used a hot towel to clean me off. Despite no one having worked my glutes, she came up under the little bit of covering, separating with her hands as she moved. I don't think it was intentional or anything of course, but the hot towel was fully touching my genitals. I've been to a lot of traditional massage places and I'm fine being entirely nude with nothing but a towel covering my butt if I feel like I can anticipate the flow of the massage and the session goes smoothly and allows me to relax and trust the therapist but this wasn't that. I'm used to the tapotement moves to wake up the body but she was fully just smacking my spine hard. She flipped me over them and I finally got some really good pressure on my head and arms but it was 5 minutes or less at that point, compressed the front of my legs but didn't uncover them. The massage ended and when I paid she reminded me that it was 70 by pointing to the sign, I said yes that's fine, she said it was also 3 dollars for using a credit card, again that's fine, and then she handed me a receipt where she ran the card for 83, ten dollars extra. I was kinda jarred at this point and just wanted to leave so didn't say anything. I was already going to tip and still did on top of that. Maybe I shouldn't have, but I still got some relief and I always tip, it was mostly habitual but feel like it was an uncomfortable, interrupted massage that I got charged extra for.

We had a private room with an infrared dry sauna, steam room/shower, and a small space with a bench to place our belongings. It looked like there was only one other room for a couple but I'm not sure if they had more that I didn't see? It was nice that we were able to connect our own music to the Bluetooth speakers. We paid $115 for the both of us since we upgraded $5 to include Halotherapy which is a salt capsule released in the infrared sauna. The salt capsule lasted for maybe about 20 minutes but it felt nice breathing it in. Outside on the patio, there were 2 cold plunge tubs. The colder one is a one-person pod while the less cold (which was still soooo cold) could fit 2 people but it'd be better to just do one at a time. There's also a 2-person jacuzzi outside. There's also a set of outdoor furniture that looks inviting to hang out in on a warmer day. Rosa checked us in and thoroughly explained the process since it was our first time here. She was welcoming, helpful, and patient with all of our questions. The experience itself was so rejuvenating. We stayed in the infrared sauna for about 25 minutes (they also provide sunglasses to block out the light), then the steam sauna for about 10 minutes then we hurried outside to cold plunge. We came here in the winter time and so it was already so cold out in the patio. The cold plunge felt so good after being the heat for a while but I could only last for 30-60 seconds before my body gave up. It was nice getting to scurry on over to the hot tub afterwards. Overall, we had a wonderful experience here! I wish we had something like this where I'm from. Next time we're in town for snowboarding, I'll definitely come back here again!
