My husband and I have visited this spa lounge a handful of times. The first time I came here, the…read moremassage therapist I had was absolutely incredible. I was in and out of sleep throughout the entire session because of how relaxing and skilled she was. That experience is the main reason we continued coming back, hoping to be matched with that therapist again. Unfortunately, our most recent experience was completely different. The therapist I received did not seem to be performing an actual massage so much as repeatedly rubbing up and down my body. At one point, she made one long stroke from my hip to my neck on the right side of my back, and I immediately felt a burning pain on the left side. I don't know exactly what happened, but it was painful and concerning, and it significantly impacted my experience. What concerns me even more are things I have learned about how this business is operated. I became aware of an employee who reportedly had documented medical conditions requiring frequent breaks. Even after providing a doctor's note, management was allegedly reluctant to accommodate those needs because breaks were said to "not fit the business model". As a business consultant, workplace culture and leadership matter to me. Based on feedback I have heard from customers and employees, I have concerns about management practices. I have heard reports of refund requests being denied even in situations involving the death of an immediate family member on the day of an appointment. I have also been told of employees being criticized by name in group chats that included additional participants. Based on my own experience and the concerns I have become aware of, I do not believe management prioritizes either customer satisfaction or employee well-being. The owner, Greg Lovato, left me with a very negative impression from the several negative reviews I have heard of this business. Greg, your sucky "management" style appears to undermine both customer loyalty and employee morale, two things that are essential for a successful business. No wonder your employees quit with no notice. Get some professional help. Hope you go kick rocks in bare feet.

This is the best therapeutic massage I have ever had! If you are truly in pain and have issues with back and legs this may be the place for you. Yan is the massage therapist that has worked on me for about a month now. Her knowledge of joint and connective tissue has really placed my back pain at ease. I work at a computer workstation 10 hours a day. So you can imagine the upper back and shoulder pain that has built up over the years due to sitting with hunched shoulders at the terminal all week long. After she had worked on me an hour at a time for three weekends I am a new person. I can actually sit pain free at my workstation for prolonged periods of time again. I was taking Tylenol regularly for pain relief, however I no longer need to do that. I was beginning to worry about taking too much medication but that is no longer my problem. I am now going every other week for an adjustment. This is keeping me at my optimum for relaxed shoulder and back issues due to unbelievably tight back muscles and joints. My legs are getting less cramped. It is a little costly to see a massage therapist, however once the body is aligned and the muscle tissue is relaxed and in its normal configuration the frequency of visits is lessened. This is not a massage for the faint hearted. There is a little pain at first getting the muscles to their relaxed state, but the long-term relief is worth it. Yan has a won me as a devoted customer for now and the future. The only thing I wish should she expand her service is that a shower be available prior to massage to relax my back muscles before the massage. read more

My experience with Yan at Jasmine Massage wasn't at all what I expected... it was much BETTER! Let me explain. I hurt my back recently and NEEDED a massage tonight! I searched massage locations near me and it was obvious after reading all the POSITIVE reviews this place was legit! I'll gladly add my 5 stars to the majority of reviews vs the few who didn't have good things to say. The payment machine has various tip options including "custom tip" and I was happy to pay it! If you're looking for a massage that helps FIX the PAIN give this a try but plan on feeling some pain while she works her magic. I'm guessing Yan could do that typical relaxing massage too but she GENUINELY wants to help FIX the problem areas to relieve pain and it's obvious she knows her profession! Simply the best massage I've had. Yen's knowledge of trigger points and deep muscle anatomy leads to an amazing experience - at times painful, always relaxing. Dichotomous - relaxation and pain? - It's taken years to build up stress-induced muscle tension in my neck and back. At times, I couldn't turn my head to the right without an immediate sharp and debilitating neck pain, up into the base of the skull. Yen found the problem - a cluster of muscle tension in the right scapular complex - locking up even the cervical para-spinals. After 2 sessions of deep tissue work, I could turn my head pain free. On a Saturday morning I finally decided to take a massage for the tightness in my neck and shoulder pain. I called the nearest massage option on my phone... Jasmine Massage (Yan herself answered the phone) and several other unable to book an appointment for that day. Thought I would start another week with shoulder pain. In a clear indication of customer service, Yan called back hours later with a cancellation and booked me for 6:30pm that day. Was greeted by a petite masseuse at a small, no nonsense, yet very clean location for my first session. A professional, sometimes painful, hour and a half deep tissue massage followed. Great deep tissue massage! After skiing 7 days straight my back and neck had many knots and spasms. Yan treated these aggressively by walking on my back, and deep tissue massage. Not a gentle rubbing but very firm pressure to all trouble areas. Yan worked very hard, relentlessly working all the knots. Excellent care. I suffer from back pain and have a couple of herniated discs. I have been to Yan a few times. She knows her stuff. I do not worry about my discs while she is working on me. She is helping to unlock my back. Although I may be a little sore for a day or two (Any deep tissue massage will do that). Overall, I feel much better after. read more

The main guy was very nice, gave us water, got us seated in comfortable spots, although... we couldn't all sit together and chat, even though there are 4 chairs in the back room, he said it was crowded to work in. But then he was the only one working back there anyway. So I understand, but I don't understand. Once the woman finished up she did not help out with the remaining people. I don't know why. There were NO OTHER clients the whole time. Then when we were paying (cash, extra fee for credit card), they had the audacity to remind us to leave a tip also. I'm afraid we left much too generous a tip as we tried to finish up quickly to get to our next event. The massage itself was pleasant, although actually short. I would say maybe 30 minutes of actual foot massage. It was nice to have a little bit of time on shoulders but I was sad not to have longer on my feet. Also at the very end they have you move to sit facedown on a massage table for a kind of all-body massage, very short, kind of a nice idea... but the table did not have a real head thing, so you stick your face in a towel+pillow combo. Suffocation~! I was extremely disappointed. I suppose my only choice is to go back to Thailand or Taiwan to find decent foot massages.

I told her I gave her a cash tip there is no need to add more on my card. She kept saying it was mandatory to tip more than $25 and that it is listed on the website. (Which I can't find) I was immediately shocked and repulsed by her demanding I tip her more money than I already did. Utah Division of Consumer Protection needs to look into this place immediately regarding their tipping practices. --------- HI ANDREW (manager) 1) your responses on your own company's page to client that support your business is horrendous. I made a reservation online and there is no request for a certain therapist on there. It says : Swedish massage - with j massage SLC. It's just a coincidence that your highly requested therapist was the one to do my massage. 6)correct I did not hand her a $25 tip--- I stated above " she kept saying it was mandatory to tip more than $25 " 7) Please review your footage in your lobby because we all know it's being recorded as you have iPads set up in every massage room showing the front counter. She said " MANDATORY ". 8) just a suggestion : hire a front desk person so your staff is not constantly running out the room during a TIMED service.... if your staff is demanding a certain amount for a tip you can actually add automatic gratuity so your staff and clients aren't running into this issue. Timi was nice and welcoming, but definitively a bit of a "character." I would say a bit overpriced compared to others and for what I got. I believe she does care about her clients.
