A quick google search says: Curling ribbon is made from polypropylene plastic and treated with chemicals, plasticizers, and synthetic finishes. It is not food-safe. When exposed to boiling water and steam, the plastic breaks down and leaches toxic chemicals and heavy metals directly into the corn husks and masa. ​Polypropylene releases harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs) when heated above safe thresholds. Inhaling or ingesting these off-gassing compounds presents unnecessary health risks. One of the humitas was tied with string but the curling ribbon was surprising. The minute I walked in, the staff was very quick to attend to us and tell us about their pastry case and about the chef. He hails from Paris, France and trained under a French chef since he was 16. According to the bakery staff anyway It's very cutely decorated and there is nice instrumental music that plays through the whole bakery. They have tables for you to sit-down and order breakfast as well. So if you want to grab and go, you can. However, if you're there to enjoy and laze around with food, you can do that too. We ordered a classic French baguette, spiral laminated pastry with raspberry and pistachio, spiral laminated pastry with pineapple, a nordic quiche, and a latte. The staff was super sweet and nice and everything came out very quickly. They even offered to wrap the baguette and hold it for me until we left since I wanted to take it to go. The pastries were absolutely delicious. Very flaky, crispy, and buttery bread that pairs really nicely with the raspberry and the pistachio. I would rate it a 10/10. I think it was that good. Like hands down. The nordic quiche was also excellent and is a quiche with cheese and smoked salmon and comes with a side salad and balsamic vinegar. The nordic quiche was a 9.5/10. The latte was a 7/10. Now, the baguette. They had two different ones, one that Americans are more familiar with and one that is a classic French one. The classic French one was more crispy but softer interior. I had ordered it to go and it was a long baguette that only cost $3. I literally ate the whole thing before my day was over. Didn't even make it that long. I think we paid about $30, without tip. It was most definitely worth it. My overall rating is a 9/10 and I loved it. I can't wait to come back. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Then we did a draft drawing of what we wanted and Richard took that and did his version of the drawing since he better understood the material he would be working with. We ended up with a perfect four level wedding cake, with 12, 10, 8, and 6 inch round sections each six inches tall. I can't compliment them enough. And as a nice bonus, they offer a top section of your cake for the one year anniversary. No need to freeze yourself a piece to celebrate the first successful year. Last note, the price was less than I expected. During the wedding process, this was the only thing less expensive than I thought.
