I was thinking maybe they would look more like the Japanese designs with like a happy cat face. Like the anime cartoons. I would order from them again, but I would probably be a little bit more specific with the design. I thought I was pretty specific, but obviously not enough. I also noticed that the white whiskers had green frosting mixed in with it from the green eyes. Meaning they used a dirty tip for the design or somehow blended the colors together. They gave us some essential info to get us started and then left us to have our private tasting and discuss the cakes. The cakes were moist and delicious, and you would have sworn they made them right before you got there. So definitely don't sleep on the premium fillings. After we tasted and paired our cakes with fillings, we decided on our cakes and were able to get things sorted with Eloise. We left with our cake confirmed and a nice little sugar high! Setting up the appointment via email was easy. We arrived a few minutes early for our appointment & rang the doorbell to get in. Eloise answered promptly and the whole team greeted us with big smiles and a warm welcome! They showed us to the private tasting room and gave us a "cheat sheet" so we knew what everything was and popular combos to try. They set up 12 cakes, 12 classic fillings, 13 premium fillings, and 2 buttercreams. Every cake was perfectly moist and delicious! The homemade premium fillings were incredible - silky, well-balanced flavors, and not overly sweet. And we loved how the Swiss meringue buttercream perfectly complemented every cake and filling combo we tried! After we tasted everything and made our selections, Eloise came back in and we discussed designs. She was great at explaining what was included in the package with our venue and showing us various designs we might like based on the vision we shared. Annette herself came out and told me I did something to cause it to seize. I explained that I didn't, because I know how to melt chocolate as I've been doing it for 25 years. My mom for 35-40. We know how to work with chocolate. She wanted to demonstrate how to melt it for me (again, already know how, there is not time to stop and microwave small amounts of chocolate for 30 seconds and then stand there stirring it in a cup every few mins when you're mass producing homemade turtles. I acknowledged that she was able to melt it that way, but explained I was displeased with the product and wanted a refund. She smirked at me!! She stated she could never provide a refund as the health department wouldn't allow product to be returned to the store. Nobody said anything about returning it, throw it away!! I would hope to God she wouldn't resell it to someone! I'll throw it away, I'll whip it out into the field next to your business. I don't want it because it's not good product. I just asked for a refund so I could go buy some good chocolate to use. I am pleased to report that it was AMAZING!! The buttercream was soooooooo smooth and the butterscotch wasn't over powering, just delicate enough to let the dulce shine and marry with the soft and delightful vanilla cake. It was truly delicious! Even the fondant was yummy and I NEVER eat the fondant. The design was perfect! She gave me some options and we tweaked them and she delivered!!!!!
