I have been under his care for over two years now, since I was referred to him by Columbia University's medical center. Dr Miller is attentive and thorough. He ensured that I was properly diagnosed and that I followed through on my drug regimen to ensure minimal side effects. He came to see me everyday when I was in a hospital and followed up regulary after I was discharged to see to it that I was recovering. In fact, once I forgot to carry my medication on a trip, and he called in an emergency prescription at a pharmacy near me on a SUNDAY! A SUNDAY! His network is great too. He referred to a surgeon who was phenomenal in helping me with another issue. The only qualm I have is with some of the office staff. It can sometimes be challenging to get them to get a prescription to the right pharmacy when you need it most. I am fortunate to be on his service and I would not hesitate for a second to recommend him

I was coming fresh from the hospital and still in pain so I needed a 2nd opinion. I searched…read moreextensively online and found a colleague of "Dr." -- I use the phrase doctor lightly in light of what occurred -- Ugonna Iroku. The doctor I wanted to see was not available for 2 and a 1/2 wks so they talked me into booking him. I called to say I would be 5 mins late and was right down the street and they said fine they had a 15 min grace period. When I arrived on 5th Avenue, it was 3:05pm. But they give you the wrong address claiming the office is at 535 5th Avenue when it is actually on 44th street. To make matters much worse, the operator on the phone claimed she didn't know where it was because they use call centers instead of on-site receptionists! So I spent an extra 12 mins walking up 5th Avenue trying to find the office! When I finally arrived at 3:17pm, they claimed I would have to rebook because it was already past the 15 min grace time even though this was their fault. I had passed right by the building at 3:04pm. So I would've been on time had THEY given me the proper entrance information. I ended up sobbing hysterically in the reception area because it was late on a Friday & I did not want to risk being in pain all weekend. No one cared and they did nothing to rectify the situation. When I asked if Iroku could see me for the last 10 mins before his next appointment they claimed he was already with another patient, which made no sense! How could that be if there is a 15-minute grace period? And no one walked in while I was waiting, except his 3:30pm patient, who would've been AFTER me. And what kind of doctor would leave a patient in pain & tears? What kind of good HUMAN BEING would do so? This was a truly awful experience and it is clear to me that these doctors are not spending enough time with their patients. 15 minutes is not enough time to thoroughly vet what is going on with patients, especially not new ones. I wish I had gone with my initial gut and kept researching other doctors instead of letting myself be talked into booking an appointment with this awful man. The only good thing is the cruelty shown to me by this awful place and this doctor means I likely dodged a bullet. Avoid the 535 5th Ave office which is actually on 44th St between Madison and 5th at all costs. Hopefully, the William St office is not as badly run.

I did my endoscopy with Dr . Which made me feel uncomfortable. I had my first colonoscopy scheduled and was already anxious about the procedure and even though I was planning to do the procedure with Dr Schnall. I decided the day before not to do it . I left a message at the center as it was the weekend and call the morning as soon as I could to let them know , also that last conversation with Dr Schnall did stick out in my mind when I made my decision. The doctor patient relationship should be based on more than the financial benefit to the doctor. Later that day His front desk staff called me to tell me I will be charge 50 dollars for the last minute cancellation I had no problem with them charging -$50 which is understandable I did not dispute the fee. I told her my reasons for canceling in a calm way, But she started talking to me very rudely about it and proceeded to reprimand me on the inconvenience I caused to Dr Schnall and his team . it's my body and I have a right to change my mind , and to feel comfortable with my doctor and confident in my doctor /patient relationship, especially with a procedure like this. Patients have rights, and she does not seem to respect patients. She ended the phone call yelling at me which reaffirmed to me I made the right decision, people like this who have no empathy towards patients are in the wrong business.

Very professional, plus everyone was very friendly. 5 stars!! I had to re-rate my experience here after seeing a new claim to my insurance billed by an anesthesiologist that never even saw me. I called the office to ask about it but was given the run around 2x before I brought my insurance into it and the office admitted it was a mistake and will process the return that my insurance had already paid. Having lost my trust in the way this office handles paperworks, I called again a week later to follow up, but the doctor wasn't there so I asked the front desk to help me leave a message. She replied that she couldn't because she might lose it...and for me to just call back next week. Lose it?! Why do you work there if you're telling patients you can't even take down a message?! I had my insurance follow back about another week later and they were told now by the billing department that my insurance needed to process a returns claim for them to return the check...seriously losing my patience. Now...I'm dealing with another huge problem...there's a huge surprise bill for me because an out of network pathologist was used. No warning at all. All in all, 1 visit to this place has already cost me countless hours of my time on the phone already in dealing with their mishaps. The only good thing about this entire establishment is Dr.Cho. hope I don't bleed again due to all the stress this is causing me.
