She is amazing, and I love my hair since I have started going to her. The first time I went I had a trim done to "test the waters" so to speak. Debbie was careful and cautious in not to cut too much off. After see the care she took, I was ready to trust her in doing a more daring cut. The second time I went I showed Debbie a picture of what I wanted (which included 11+ inches being cut), and she cut my hair to match the picture. I told her I was starting to panic after having so much of my hair cut off, but she assured me it would be cute. After copying the picture she asked me if I would like some changes to match my face, natural wave of the hair, etc. I put my full trust in her, and she made made my hair look amazing. She definitely knows what she is doing, and charges a very reasonable price. Debbie is open Tuesday - Saturday and can also do manicures and pedicures at her salon. The salon is in a senior's only apartment building, so you have to go through the lobby of the apartment building to get to her salon. For anyone who may be curious, Debbie took the hair that was cut off was donated to Locks of Love.

So I basically paid two hair designers . I usually pay around 150 with my regular and a little less with a stylist in Brownsburg. I had a silver blonde with a dark root done on my hair. My hair was already blonde so it didn't take long to turn silver platinum. I asked them about the large amount and her friend( Maggie) said they are aloud to charge anything they want.... OK! Wow so their price menu In front is a lie or shall I say false advertising. They were very rude after I question the amount and I will never be back there.

Sara is unbelievable and not in a good way!…read more I had an appointment with her today as a new client and she left "to run an errand" and was not there when I arrived. I was only 5 minutes late and SHE WAS ALREADY GONE! The other lady working in the salon said "She thought you weren't coming, so she left to run an errand." What kind of person, does not give a new client a 5-minute grace period?! It was even less than that, because she was already gone when I arrived. I started to wait for her to return but then decided I was not going to give someone like her my time or my money. If she doesn't even have the patience to wait less than 5 minutes (for a new client, new to the area, to find her way); who knows what she would have done to my hair. If she was concerned that I wasn't coming, why didn't she call my phone to verify?! There is a reason this salon has a low rating... very poor customer service. If that is how they treat customers (the other lady was not at all sympathetic or apologetic); they shouldn't be in business.

I asked the hairdresser on duty if that was correct and she said yes because she was the only one there and if I wanted to wait, maybe I could get in if nobody above me showed up. I wasn't happy about it but I then waited for her to finish with the two children that she was currently helping and then she disappeared in the back for about 20 minutes. Of course as soon as she finally showed back up the person one spot above mine showed up and he then got my spot. I was basically told that it wasn't her problem because she was the only one there. I had booked and signed a contract for my wedding which was over a year away. I scheduled my trial run upon signing my contract. In February, they told me they were no longer available for my wedding and cancelled their services for my wedding day. I understand things come up, but it is very unprofessional and a bad business plan for the team at Lavender & Hops. Very disappointed in this business, as this is not a team. No apology for cancelling, as they state they are just bummed they can't be the hair and makeup artists at my wedding. I felt the verbiage of the email was incredibly insensitive as they tried to put a positive twist on cancelling their contract. I was then referred to other hair and makeup artists who have never heard of Lavender & Hops and did not know they had been referred.
