The fam and I were here last week. The waiter was new and our orders got a little mixed up, but really, anything you get here is yummy. We started with tortillas and salsa. I like that the salsa isn't too spicy and the warm tortillas are so good. I had the beef burritos, rice and beans--all hot and fresh. Everyone else's food was just as good. I live in Lex, but will come back whenever I have the chance. The service was fast and the waiter had help from another gentleman to sort it out. Friend invited for lunch in Nicholasville, she lives and works there and loves this place. I liked that it was not packed and we were sat quickly and our orders taken quickly. Server was nice and our food was out pretty fast. Food presented well and tasted good. Seems to be pretty typical of most Mexican places in and around the area. We have one of these in my home town so I was pretty happy to see one when I moved to Nicholasville. It's fairly standard American Mexican cuisine like you see at most Mexican restaurants here. What sets them apart for me is their fajita. I dunno how they prepare it, but it's delicious. It looks pretty much the same as everywhere else, but the taste is just better. I came in to order due to language issues in the past. Family of 5 came in right behind me. No one seated them. Under the pressure of a small space and holding others up by taking too long. I made a quick choice. Waiter didn't ask my choices. Got home with all beef items. Bland. Tasteless. Beef. Called to share my displeasure. Me, being kind. Lady, unpleasant. Was asked what I wanted to happen? I said partial refund. Was told to bring uneaten food in. Had fed bland beef to dog. The rest sit in fridge until I pitched it. Early in food service. Hardly authentic as the sign says outside. Food was OK but nothing outstanding. The most notable plus was the steak in my chimmi was tender. The guacamole was straight out of a packet and watered down. The rice overcooked and the refried beans were runny. Food had a decent flavor, but again, nothing that I would come back for. When we arrived, the guy at the front seated us by tossing two menus on a table as he walked by and never said a word... he didn't even turn around. Server took forever to get our order since he was too busy chatting with his friends in the service station. Menus were filthy and so were the booths and floors. The server took 15 min to check on us after the food arrived. None of the TVs were working. They all had "Your receiver is turned off" on the screens. Nice. When I was ready to leave, I spent another 10 minutes waiting for someone to come to the register. Plenty of people saw me standing there and ignored me. I finally asked someone to checked me out and the girl I spoke to begrudgingly did it. I apparently interrupted whatever it was she was doing. I won't be back. The food was good and hot. The only thing is you get charged for cheese sauce instead of having the red. Also I asked for sour cream and that was a charge. They brought out more chips so I asked for more queso and that was a extra charge. The add on charges for everything and it isn't a-lot to be charged. After a year or 2 away, my lady and I decided to give Fiesta Mexico another chance. El Potrillo has been very disappointing lately and we were craving Mexican food. We placed a "To Go" order at around 8pm on a Thursday night. When we arrived to pick it up the place was packed. I had to wait an extra 10 minutes on top of the 10 they quoted on the phone, but that wasn't an issue. I was greeted by the owner at the door. He actually remembered me and said that he still didn't carry my favorite beer (Carta Blanca). However, in a major departure from my previous experiences here the owner was very nice and welcoming. We engaged in friendly conversation while I waited. Once we got the food home, we were pleasantly surprised. When we order to go from Potrillo, everything seems to be a disappointing version of their dine-in options. Fiesta Mexico's food was incredible to go. The Chimichanga meal was fresh and still crispy when we got it home. The tacos were generous and delicious. The bean burritos were hot and the red sauce the best I've ever had. This food was so good that we ordered the same meal again on Sunday. The experience was just as pleasant. Fiesta Mexico has made me a believer. I have a new go to when it comes to Mexican food. read more

I live in Lexington and came here whenever I wanted Mexican food. However, after my last experience I will no long visit this restaurant solely based on how the owner (manager) handled my situation. I usually spend a pretty significant amount of money for one person when I go, which is often. I had placed a to go order between 2-3pm which is a very slow time and hardly any customers were there. What I got was a partial thrown together meal that was missing wraps, queso that covers chicken, and side of grilled veggies I ordered on the side. After calling the owner (manager) and politely telling him my concern and the mess up on the order he tells me I'm wrong and just hangs up. That is NOT how a business should conduct themselves! I would take my business some place else. There is several other Mexican restaurants in the same parking lot, I will be visiting them! read more

We've been here a couple times before, nothing to write home about, just your standard Mexican fare. Our visit tonight is what urged me to Yelp. My daughter had wanted McD's and I was ready to cave until we neared FM. I asked if she'd like it instead, she was agreeable. Yay for good decisions. Or so I thought. Our server, a young lady, was very brusque in demeanor. Having waited tables before, I do understand there are bad/busy days, but to approach customers in this curt manner was uncalled for. She brought our drinks, a Sprite and a water. Took our order. Brought the food we ordered, plunked them down with a "hot plates" mention and walked away. Never asked if we needed anything, never returned to check on us or our meals. She brought the check about 10m later. I'm thankful that we pay upon exiting, this is the first time in a decade or more that I've not tipped a server. Not even a cent. I truly hope she's the exception here when it comes to your waitstaff. Not sure if we will return. read more

If you get a Pepsi before your order, be careful with it. Conserve it. Treat it with care. This is the last time you will be given a chance for a drink. You can hope for a refill, but it will never come. The perfect accompaniment to a meal of Mexican food is, apparently, no drink. Friendly, helpful staff and great place for parties and best margaritas in Nicholasville. Pork tips, Special Martin, Special Chimichangas along with their steaks are best I've ever had.
