The menu i tried unsuccessfully to order from

Attempted order via phone based on menu options listed on their website. WHAT A FRIGGING MESS. There must be at least 8 different menus between their website and on yelp. I specifically read the items I wanted to order. The first woman stated they didnt have such items, questioned f I was sure their establishment was the location I wanted to order from, then passed the phone to a different lady. Once again I was told they didn't have the item. After trying to order just this first item, I gave up. They really should consider cleaning their website pages, updating their menu accurately, and have an understanding of call in orders. I WILL NOT ATTEMPT any further purchases from this place despite the location convenience.

After living here for years and then moving to L. A. for a couple of years this place would have been ok. But, now since I know what real Mexican food could or should be this place doesn't live up to what I've been eating the last couple of years. My wife and I ordered chips, salsa and white cheese dip as our appetizers. The chips were stale, the salsa and white cheese dip tasted like they came out of a can. Not a very good start to our lunch. Wife ordered the fajitas and the only good thing my wife had to say was the steak and chicken came out sizzling lol... The meat could have been seasoned more. I ordered the beef and cheese chimichanga and boy was I so disappointed. I thought chimichangas are suppose to be deep fried? Well, at least the ones I had in California we're all deep fried. This one was more like a wet tamale. The beef inside was ground beef and there was no cheese on the inside from what I could tell. It did have an ok green sauce on top. The rice and refried beans were ok. Needed more salt or some type of flavor. All in all California Mexican food has ruin me and my wife. All we could talk about were Melody's in SFV and Don Lalo's in Ventura lol... There are plenty of other good / great Mexican places to eat in California but, those were the ones that came to mind.

This is the best Mexican Restaurant in Long Beach and probably in the running for best on the coast. I've had pretty poor luck trying to find good Mexican food on the coast when I venture away from BSL. I almost didn't go here because my other two experiences were so poor. But I am glad that I did. One thing that convinced me to come here is that they were open on a Sunday. Hardly anything worth eating is open on a Sunday here. As I entered I was a little worried. The place was deserted. That fear was soon erased once we sat down. Service was prompt and friendly. They did give me a lemon with my water, but whatever. The salsa came in a little glass container with separate bowls. I love that since my kids don't like their salsa hot and I do. It was pretty good as salsa goes and had a good medium thick consistency. We also ordered a white cheese quest which was very good. When dipping from the quest to the salsa it was pretty much the perfect bite of food. For my entree I got the combination chicken, steak, shrimp and chorizo fajitas. I believe they are number 46 on the menu. They were number 1 in my book. The meats were coked perfectly and served sizzling. Despite that lava hot plate, none of the meats were dry and overcooked. I bet their marinating game is strong because each bite was better than the last. It came with three flour tortillas and there was probably enough meat for three more. Awesomeness. If you want Mexican and are in the LB, go to Fiesta Mexicana.

Still on Beatline, El Nopal's new name

Fiesta Mexicana is the renamed and moved El Nopal. The food here is pretty good with a very nice and comfortable atmosphere. We dined in around 4 PM on a Friday. It was clean and tidy. Our waitress was attentive but not bothersome. The food was average to a bit better in taste than many but not outstanding. I would probably go here again if in the area and did not want to drive to Pass Road for the best in the metro. The chips and salsa were plentiful but average in taste. I had the Chile Relleno dinner. The batter was light but the filling was runny and more of a sauce inside than actual Oaxacan "string" cheese. The dish overall was generous and tasty but of standard fare. My partner had Enchiladas Acapulco. The description read filled with crabmeat and shrimp. The "crabmeat" was actually chopped crabstick (surimi or fake crab) but she reported it tasted ok. I hate it when restaurants give bogus descriptions like this especially in coastal areas. Tell it like it is--its fake, no crab in it at all or maybe just a minute aromatic essence. They do have horchata and other aguas frescas which is a plus. The bill was average as well not too expensive and not too cheap. Overall there are much better Mexican places in town but it's no better than A-OK.

The fajitas are always fresh and amazing and only $7 on Mondays!

Everything I've tried is amazing and fresh as always!! We've switched a couple of months ago from another Mexican restaurant and haven't looked back since!! We crave this place all the time and go several times a month. We've always had fast service and usually in and out within 30 mins and that's not rushing. Also the price is excellent for the amount of food they give you!

I haven't had a problem there the margaritas were good and the fajita I ordered was great too so I would say it's worth the visit.

Terrible customer service, and the food was mediocre. The beer was cheap... that's why it gets a star.

Always good, and good prices. Try the fiesta Texana: shrimp, chicken AND steak in a quesadilla. Delicious!

A big place with lots of seating and lots of parking. I got a taco salad bowl with chicken. There…read morewas a lot of chicken in it. Otherwise, typical Mexican food offerings. Good service. It was a good stop. It is located north of Railroad Street in an area you wouldn't stumble across accidentally unless you were going to ALDI. A good stop

Not really sure how to feel about this place!…read more On the one hand, the food was pretty good and well-seasoned. The steak, ground beef, AND shredded beef were all delicious and cooked perfectly. The rice and beans were flavorful, the cheese dip & salsa were spicy but not overly so, and the enchilada sauce was just okay. The chips were ALL burnt. We asked for more and the waitress said "oh, they're all like that." Why?? The thing I expect most when I go out for Mexican food is good chips! On the other hand, the service was WEIRD and not in a great way. First, despite there being about 15-20 empty booths/tables, they wouldn't seat us and made us wait. Then they seated other people (who didn't have reservations - I checked) at those same booths they wouldn't seat us at! Second, our waitress didn't listen very well as we were ordering. She brought us two margaritas instead of one, tried to bring carne asada instead of carnitas, and was overall not super friendly. Not a terrible waitress, but I've certainly had better. I also have to mention how stupid their kids menu policy is. I get not letting adults order from the kids menu (even if I don't personally think it's right) but 10 years old? Come on! I've NEVER been to a place where it was 10 and under. 12 and under for sure, but 11-year-olds are still children!! We didn't even have kids with us - it just made me so mad that I have to mention it. I don't think we'll be back here, despite the quality of the food. Just not my kind of place. But who knows!

If you're anywhere near Long Beach and hungry, hit up Beach Side Grill…read more The tacos are killer -- steak, chicken, pork, chorizo... basically the Avengers of taco meats. The quesadillas are stupid good. The Hawaiian chicken sandwich ought to come with a warning label because you'll think about it later that night. Fries are solid, cookies are dangerous, and if they've got cookies that day, get them before somebody's grandma buys them all. Best part? You can text your order in like you're conducting delicious undercover operations. Fast, easy, and beach-food-level satisfying.

There's plenty of available parking and picnic tables if you want to stay but it's also easy to get amazing to-go food. When I arrived I was a little overwhelmed by the breadth of their menu. They have a LOT to choose from and everything sounded really good. I decided to go with the Hawaiian chicken sandwich which comes grilled in a teriyaki sauce with a pineapple, lettuce and mayo. I also went with a side of their seasoned fries. Yall. The food was AMAZING. I am so incredibly happy with the experience. The prices were great and above all, the ladies working the truck are friendly and personable. You cannot go wrong with a great meal AND great customer service. My little dog joined me on the trip as well and she loved being able to sit with me at the picnic table while we waited at this cute place. I can't wait to visit again!
