The food was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The whole tilapia was a favorite with my son. I had the crane as a main dish, which was tasty and very filling. I couldn't eat it all. My mom enjoyed the chicken enchiladas. The service was good, and the decor was nice. The only drawback was that the bathroom towel dispenser was empty. The prices are reasonable considering the amount of food you get. Overall, we had a good dining experience and will come here again.

This is the newest location of Fiesta Martin on Van Ness, it's smack dab in the middle of homes and schools. Great for walking to happy hour or dinner on a nice summer night or cool fall evening. The parking is great as well. This is my second time here. The first time the food was really good as expected and this time was the same... delish!! I will say that the there was a slight difference in our server the second time around. The first time our server was amazing, friendly and seemed to love what he does everyday, this time our server seemed a little preoccupied and we had to call him over several times. Not necessarily a big thing, people are people and overall he was nice. That does not speak to anything negative just remembering that we are all human and we still had a nice experience. Visit the new location. The art work is beautiful and the outside patio area is large for parties. The drinks are good too! Cheers!!

Got this for lunch today. Hit the spot! It was gloomy today so I was craving a good bowl of pozole & this place did not disappoint. So flavorful & the meat was so tender too. Definitely would come & eat from here again.

I ordered thru Door Dash and the food arrived quickly. The horchata and orange bang were very watery and not much flavor, I would not order again. The taquitos de papa and chicken were yummy and crunchy. The tour of Mexico was delicious and all the meats were well seasoned. I would try this place again.

We came here on a Sunday afternoon after church, it was not really crowded inside, we could sit anywhere we wanted to, there is free parking in the front also on each side on the restaurant as well. Our server took our order, we started off with chips and salsa along with guacamole and ships, both were very authentic, a super burrito, a combo plate and queso fundido this was so good, all of the staff was very attentive plus helpful. The decor here is so colorful and beautiful, had a wonderful experience.

Went on a Saturday afternoon, the restaurant was pretty empty so we were seated right away. It started getting busy as time went on. Al thought it got busy, the servers were attentive. We had multiple servers check in on us. We ordered some drinks and guacamole to start. The guac was delicious! We got the surf and turf molcajete to share between my husband and I. The food was delicious, the rice and beans to accompany it were delicious as well. They have tvs all around which were playing different sports, they had music playing which was not too loud. The decorations and painting on the wall are beautiful.

Can't say I had the greatest experience here... Lets start with the venue. Good amount of seating, but parking is a bit challenging. The vibe is definitely that of a Fiesta, fairly loud with a good amount of people celebrating something. Shots and drinks everywhere. The food was actually good, however my mate and I thought service was lacking. We weren't all that hungry, but did want to grab a bite to eat, so we were debating between sharing an appetizer and a smaller entree or just getting a really big entree. We felt like the staff were pushy and tried to up sell everything...drinks, "Guacamole for the table" etc. Um...we weren't famished. I ordered CEVICHE PICANTE TOSTADA, which is a smaller appetizer, but instead our waiter brought me the TOSTADA MIXTA instead, which was more than twice the price and size of the dish I wanted... #FiestaMishaps: ~ Chips & Salsa - 3/5 Complimentary Chips & Salsa. Nothing special, but definitely edible. ~ TOUR OF MEXICO - 3.5/5 Good value: you get a plate of 10 Street Tacos which you can mix and match. We got 2 Al Pastor 2 Carnitas, 2 Chicken and 4 Carne Asada Tacos. The tacos were good, some of them didn't hold up or stay intact..they fell apart and we had to eat them with a fork. ~ TOSTADA MIXTA - 4/5 A pile of heaping Fresh Seafood flanked by a pair of crackers (still wrapped in plastic) and two cucumbers dipped in spices...Tajín I presume. I could do without the large sticks of Imitation Crab...no longer a fan, after learning how Imitation Crab is made. I'm not one to send dishes back to the kitchen, so here I was stuck with good amount of seafood that I didn't have an appetite for... Then came the wait... I asked a waiter for a container to pack up the rest of the ceviche, he said okay but never brought it. I waited about 10 minutes until I flagged down the young lad that's the busboy, and he got me a container within 10 seconds... SMH. Then I had to flag the waiter down for the bill. Also forgot to mention, he never checked up us if we needed anything after he took our order. Can't possibly praise the service here...

I like this location much better than the one on LaBrea. Nice, walking or short driving distance in the neighborhood. Service from Johnny started off a little shaky & inattentive, but improved once the evening progressed. Carne asada tacos were yummy & well seasoned. Good guacamole and salsa...no complaints there. Watermelon margarita was good. Also tried the peach margarita...equally delicious. It was pretty busy for happy hour/dinner, but we were seated right away. Lot parking fills up soon, however there does seem to be plenty to of street parking. No complaints. I can see myself returning on a regular basis as long as the food stays consistent. Price point is about $35pp for food and drinks. A little less during happy hour.

It's going crazy over here lol. It's obscure in the location but doesn't veer far from the flavor of the other fiesta Martin's. Happy hour is from 2-6 and I decided to see what it's about on my day off. Nachos were big & delicious. The quesadilla which isn't pictured was crispy yet cheesy and filled with enough chicken and a nice scoop of guacamole & sour cream. The chips and salsa as a snack before was very good as well, and I didn't even get to finish that because the food came out so fast and hot. The missing 5th star came from the annoying fly buzzing around me constantly. Love the service and the food will definitely be back !

First time at this location, it's a great spot! In town visiting family and we got a table right away and Erwin was our server. He was fast yet efficient. I had the quesabirria combo and it was good! I hadn't had consumme like theirs before but it was amazing! The decor and spot was very nice. Perfect neighborhood spot and I look forward to the next time!

When the Long Beach location opened, it was even better, right around my way (back then). Myself and my family looked forward to them for the holidays after I'd long moved away. I'd make the drive just for the gumbo and lemon cake for the holidays. This year though, I placed my Thanksgiving order per usual. My sister made the comment (she lives in Long Beach still) that they'd not been as good anymore, I ignored. I figured she's spoiled and getting bougee since Long Beach has tons of really good places. Unfortunately ... she was correct. Maybe my pick up experience didn't all the way help but honestly I was still happy to have my order (sad. We need soul food places in Santa Clarita). I ordered my usual gumbo and lemon cake. This year I was fancy and added a pineapple upside down and a dozen cornbread muffins. Nothing crazy. There was only 7 of us to feed. I drove from Castaic all the way the the LA location. I scheduled my pick up for 11a the day before Thanksgiving. This would give me enough time to get down there and back home before traffic got insane. When I arrive, the front dining area had become overcrowded with people standing around waiting for help. A gentleman came out and he cleared us out helping everyone. I was sent to the back of the restaurant where there were tables with all the ready Thanksgiving orders sitting on tables. It was a bit busy, there were 2 ladies helping people. I could see a couple customers were having issue with their orders not being complete so they were waiting. Although my pick up was at 11a, I arrived at 1130a. I could see the times of the orders already out. And there were 11a orders spread out amongst all The earlier times. Didn't think my order would have me sitting outside 45 minutes. My order wasn't ready. I sat patient as long as I could. Traffic and the remaining things I had to do before heading back home heavy on me. By the time noon came around and I kept seeing orders come out, but they weren't mine. And people came and went. I finally spoke up. The two ladies didn't make it a priority to keep the kitchen abreast my order being late and me still sitting waiting. Instead they were laughing, talking. There was a period of time no one was picking up. So it was just us 3 back there. Me alone in a corner chair and them kee kee'ing. A wave of customers came, and I finally had to say something. I let them know, again, my order was for 11am and it's now past noon and I'm still waiting. I was annoyed, I even advised I cannot wait much longer. I let them know I was coming from really and questioned my wait. There was an older lady and a young lady. Soon as I mentioned Yelp, the older lady put the younger one into action and she went to the kitchen. She didn't come back out until my order was in hand. They both apologized. Then the older woman says to me, "don't yelp us bad. If you do, I'll remember you and next year I won't serve you" It took me a back! Playing or not (I believe not), my experience wasn't jolly for that kind of remark. They could have at minimum offered me a glass of water while waiting 45 minutes. Nothing. Ignored and I get that? Smile and cracked a smile and went on. The food.... I don't think it would be 100% fair to critique the food with such an iffy in person experience. I feel like that may have altered how I felt about the food this year. I will say, the gumbo is not filled with meat. It's a lot of soup and the soup is a filet based and thick. In the containers there was a single skinny snow crab leg and a half of another one. Not the cluster part with all the meat at the joints. I'm talking the skinniest legs out the cluster. A chicken leg and some chicken bits with a bunch of sausage. Then lemon cake was as expected. Everyone appreciated that. Overall, the comment on not serving me because I have a voice on my experience rubbed me wrong. I'm disappointed but I know it's time for me to find a new holiday spot.

His attitude was pleasant, and he had a genuine smile. Not one of those false demonstrations of civility. When you walk in, the smell of the food automatically turns you from hungry to excitedly starving. One of the keys to good food is the aroma from the kitchen. We were ushered to the back, Sunday Church pun intended. Our server got us wonderful drinks. Then we ordered our food, and when those soulful southern dishes arrived, it was the crown jewel of the experience. They looked as good as they tasted. When I inquired, I was told, yes, "Dinner" menus are also the weekend. Okie doke. Found out the "Muddy Water" drink on the menu is lemonade, sweet tea and berry juice. My friends and I decided to each order something different so we could sample many things. Chicken plate, salmon plate and meatloaf plate. Each plate came w/2 sides and a "hot water" cornbread muffin. We went with mac n cheese, cooked cabbaged, sweet potato, collard greens, string beans and mashed potatoes as our sides. I hadn't mentioned any reviews to my friends because I wanted their unbiased opinions. Food arrived, they dug in and I started taking pics. IYKYK! lol! Before I could set my phone down the first remark was, 'Wow! That's salty!' Wellllll...Thats what Yelpers had mentioned, but I couldn't believe it was THAT salty. Then I took a bite. Yes, indeed, salty. Everything, except the sweet potatoes was salty. Even the corn muffin was topped with a salty butter "wash". I think we all decided the salmon was the best. The sweet potatoes tasted sugary, which I honestly didn't mind cuz I got a sweet tooth. But my friends passed after a taste. The mac n cheese was good, but I just took a taste from the side to see if I wanted to order an extra side for the table. I didn't. My friend wasn't wild about the texture of her meatloaf. It looked like a hunk of dense cake, it was so finely ground. Not hand formed ground meat like we grew up eating. We skipped dessert and left some things behind. I plan on checking the reviews again before the year ends and see if comments are still talking about the salt content. I'll be back if the salt is reduced because the staff was very nice and attentive and this is a lovely space I hope will be successful for years. Cheers! "CC"

My first visit was slow, but I gave grace because the place had recently gone viral and was packed. This visit was different. We were seated quickly. The restaurant was not busy. Out of about 12 booths and several counter seats, only a few tables were occupied. We placed a simple breakfast order and then waited. And waited. It took almost an hour to get our food. During that time, the table next to us received their food, ate, paid, and left before our plates even arrived. Meanwhile pickup orders started piling up and tickets were stacking in the kitchen. I could see only two cooks working, so I understand being understaffed, but this is a breakfast diner. The food we ordered should never take an hour. Order: Corned beef hash plate with grits, eggs, and English muffin Pancake special with bacon and eggs Burger and fries The pancakes were good and the burger was fine according to my son. Everything else was disappointing. The corned beef hash tasted like canned corned beef seared hard with tiny potatoes and almost no seasoning. The grits were bland and watery with no flavor at all. After waiting that long, the quality did not match the time investment. What made it worse was watching multiple customers visibly frustrated. One couple waited around 30 minutes at the counter and eventually walked out. Unfortunately, about three hours after eating I had stomach cramps bad enough to send me to the restroom. I genuinely want this place to succeed, but based on two visits, the wait times, food consistency, and overall execution are not there yet. I cannot recommend.
