It's important to note that there's another Holiday Inn nearby so make sure you're going to the right one. Location-wise, it's amazing! It's right next to Parque Fundidora, which is one of the places you should visit if it's your first time. You can just walk through the building towards the food court area and use the pedestrian bridge to cross. The park also leads to Paseo Santa Lucía, which is another Monterrey thing to experience. There's also an Oxxo and 7 eleven right across the street so if you need to buy water or snacks, it's super convenient. This was a pretty affordable option and the facilities are really nice because they're brand new and very clean. Service was amazing. The staff was always attentive and ready to help. It's also great that their continental breakfast is included. It's not exactly the same every day so it's nice that they mix is up. Some days we had pancakes, others chilaquiles, others even menudos. A little more than just continental! The most amazing thing about this place are the views. We absolutely loved enjoying beautiful views of el Cerro de la Silla and the entire city from our rooms, the side windows, and their amazing terrace. It was magical at night too! Highly recommend!

After landing in Monterrey's airport, and going to eat with my buddy, he dropped me off at this hotel. I noticed that the surrounding area is clean, safe, and quiet. Checking in was no problem, and I opted for an upgrade, since having a great view of the city was very important to me. I got a 2-bed room on one of the upper levels. The room was spectacular. It was nicely decorated, sizable, with great amenities. There was a separate area with the shower and a bath tub, where I was able to relax while enjoying the view of this magnificent city. The room had a Nespresso machine, which I used to complement the morning coffee I ordered through room service. The food available here was great, it was very tasty, and prepared with a good balance of ingredients. I didn't have time to check out the gym nor the restaurant, but I was able to explore the surroundings. Across the street sits Metropolitan Center, a great place for fine dining. There is also Fashion Drive, which is a huge indoor mall with many great offerings. There are nightclubs in the area, but I did not have the opportunity to check them out, either. Daytime or nighttime, this place has plenty to do, and it is very safe. Later on, I learned that San Pedro Garza Garcia is the most affluent part of Mexico. It shows. My stay in Grand Fiesta Americana was a very comfortable one. It exceeded my expectations, and I plan to come back in the near future.

Loved our views from anywhere in the building. Just beautiful. Breakfast was my favorite. Amazing variety of food with one of the best views in MTY. This location is by no means the least expensive as I could have gotten a much better rate at a real hotel downtown. The room was dirty although the maid "Martha Morales" was so proud to display her card (I usually tip the housekeepers at the hotels but not this one) dirty towels, hairs in shower/tub area, just nasty. I decided i was not going to say anything because the stay was not long enough; but then today... there are two elevators is this place, they are falling apart, so much that the button for the fourth floor in the ONLY working elevator broke and when asked the front desk if they could get the other elevator working they said "no, that's been out of order for a while too" with this not-give-a-crap attitude and proceeded to say "just use the stairs", as they were checking someone else to the fourth floor without telling them the elevators were not working. This place cannot be called a hotel, bad service, bad maintenance, bad facilities. So glad this is the last night here. I will never book this place ever again.
