After landing in Monterrey's airport, and going to eat with my buddy, he dropped me off at this hotel. I noticed that the surrounding area is clean, safe, and quiet. Checking in was no problem, and I opted for an upgrade, since having a great view of the city was very important to me.
I got a 2-bed room on one of the upper levels. The room was spectacular. It was nicely decorated, sizable, with great amenities. There was a separate area with the shower and a bath tub, where I was able to relax while enjoying the view of this magnificent city.
The room had a Nespresso machine, which I used to complement the morning coffee I ordered through room service. The food available here was great, it was very tasty, and prepared with a good balance of ingredients.
I didn't have time to check out the gym nor the restaurant, but I was able to explore the surroundings.
Across the street sits Metropolitan Center, a great place for fine dining. There is also Fashion Drive, which is a huge indoor mall with many great offerings.
There are nightclubs in the area, but I did not have the opportunity to check them out, either. Daytime or nighttime, this place has plenty to do, and it is very safe. Later on, I learned that San Pedro Garza Garcia is the most affluent part of Mexico. It shows.
My stay in Grand Fiesta Americana was a very comfortable one. It exceeded my expectations, and I plan to come back in the near future.
