As an actual Colombian, who grew up in a Colombian household, this place was as close as I've ever gotten to childhood. Everything was perfect. The desayuno monteñero was absolutely amazing and the soup tasted like grandma's soup. A lot of people here are saying the food is "bland" or "not seasoned" but it's always the plates that DONT need as much seasoning. As for the service, it was very nice of course, I know Spanish so it's easier but if you have trouble with that they have people who DO speak ENGLISH. Just ask. The Ambiance is also perfect, they have a wall of sayings we say in Colombia and barrels of popular sodas in Colombia as well. They have a nice bar that plays different games (if you ask) and the bakery section like the empanadas ARE AMAZING. Overall, the food is amazing. My recommendation will be the bandeja paisa. (If you like meat) and desayuno montañero (SAVE ROOM FOR THE REST OF THE FOOD HAHAHA) read more

This was my first Columbian food experience. It was very unique! Luckily we had a Spanish speaker in our midst because our waitress spoke very limited English. The service was, unfortunately, slow and inattentive. First we got the empanadas for a shared appetizer, they were small, filled with chicken and fried to perfection. They came with some very good fresh guacamole, a type of pico de gallo, and a spicy, garlicky salsa. We asked for chips for the table and the waitress did not understand. After Tony explained in Spanish, she went in the kitchen and came back saying they did not have them. The menu items are so different and interesting. Portions are big and nearly everything comes with French Fries. A lot of things have a tiny quail egg and Columbian flag on top. I got the "Hamburguesa", which was a cheeseburger with plantains for a bun. It was tasty! It was a beef patty, some kind of cheese, tomatoes, bacon, onions and a mayo based sauce with an avocado slice on the side. And fries, of course! read more

The service here was great and I enjoyed speaking Spanish with the staff. The food was good, very savory and quite authentic I'm told (a friend has family from Colombia and they said it's spot on). read more

I went to Fiesta Colombia with a group of 4 for a friend's birthday. When we entered, we were greeted by a woman at the bar. We asked for a table for 4 and she didn't understand what we were saying. The language barrier throughout the entire experience proved challenging. As we were walking in, we saw their large display screen projecting "free birthday dinner." When I asked about this, they said something about "after dinner". They ended up bringing out shots on an inflatable airplane with sparking candles. That was nice, but they shouldn't advertise a free dinner if it's not a real thing. The food was not good. We ordered fried plantains and they were dry and flavorless. We also ordered empanadas and they were served with a dipping sauce that appeared to be a ketchup/mayo mixture. I love that mixture on fries, but really was not good with empanadas. The other food ordered at the table was also underwhelming. I will not be back. read more

Ok I'm a foodie and I have been to thousand's of restaurants across this country but it dawned on me that I don't think I have ever seen a Colombian restaurant among the South American restaurants that I have been to so let's give a Steve stop by and take a deep dive into my lunch. The place is on the small side with a very colorful exterior with a cool tropic decor. They have a nice wrap around bar with a small dining area on the side. The servers were very nice and as the only Caucasian in the place the language wasn't too bad. They do blast the music by the way. The menu is huge including a tomahawk steak of all things. I would have the desayuno montanero a breakfast item with beef because it was a dish that had red beans and rice instead of most dishes having the boring white rice. I no nothing about Colombian food and I was totally unprepared for what was about to hit my table. You get started with a bowl of soup and a plate with fresh cheese topped bread, slab of cheese and a cup of rich creamy hot coco. Nothing was seasoned very well but it was far from bland. The soup was a clear broth topped with cilantro with a baked potato texture potatoes and which was very good. The cheese topped bread was fresh and and was perfect for soaking up the broth from the soup. The the desayuno montanero breakfast plat looked amazing on a nice looking dish. It was a bed of red beans and rice topped with grilled steak, over easy egg, avocado and an apera. The red beans and rice was good with Al dente beans with a stew style that had a small fatty bones in it for flavor. The steak had grill marks and thickness to it with a little fat for flavor which was tasty. The apera was was good with a corn taste. Just to be warned it's a lot of food and the plate alone could feed me 3 times. Overall I loved it because it was like a 3 course breakfast meal @ $ 18.42 to my surprise. Just keep in mind that the steak isn't a steak house $70 steak and a breakfast quality pice of meat and the dish its from another culture and very different from Milwaukee's food scene. read more

We had such a great experience here, we got the beef and chicken empanadas, Salchipcarne (Colombian-style loaded fries), Colombian beers, and the Bandeja Paisa. Everything was delicious. The Salchipcarne were VERY loaded, super flavorful, and the portion was big. Definitely worth it. The empanadas were a bit small, but they were perfectly crunchy and packed with flavorful filling. The Colombian beers paired really well with everything. We also tried the national dish, the Bandeja Paisa, and it was so good. The presentation was beautiful, everything was well seasoned, and all the flavors worked perfectly together. The space itself was colorful and beautiful. The decor is warm and inviting, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Overall, such a great experience and we'll definitely be back! read more

I hate to write this review because I love supporting my Hispanic business but there were more misses than hits with this one. I ordered to go and pulled up about 39 minutes after. I got greeted y the host and was told to go to the bar and let the ladies know I was there for a to go order. 15 minutes went by before I was even acknowledged despite being in clear view of several servers. While I was there I noticed the ambiance seems fun but the employees seemed disorganized and chaotic. Anyhow, I finally got my food and went home. I ordered the churrasco, empanadas and arroz atollado. Big bummer that I didn't get the chimichurri sauce for the steak nor the empanadas sauce. Also, no cutlery for a to go order. And it's not like I could go back, I love 18 minutes away. The food itself was good except for the empanadas, they were dry and crumbly. Is it worth to go back and deal with all the cons for good but not spectacular food ? Probably not. I really wanted to like this place but oh well read more

Came here on a Tuesday night and it was pretty good. I tried the empanadas and the beef were delicious, but the chicken was a little tough. I also had a classic lime margarita and it was alright, but had kind of a funny taste. I tried a friend's blueberry margarita and it was much better, so I think it was just a one off. The decor inside is super festive and eye catching. Service was great, they fixed a misunderstanding with a drink order with no problem. Overall, decent spot that could just use some improvement with quality consistency. read more

We were pretty excited to find a Colombian restaurant in MKE to try however the excitement quickly faded. Small parking lot however easy to find free street parking. The lady that seated us was also our server however after she seated us she disappeared. After 10-15 minutes we had to ask another employee to find her. She spoke almost no English and could not understand our order which she ultimately messed up. Once she delivered the food, she never came back. We had to ask someone to find her to get our check. It was horrible service. Food was ok. Meat was overcooked and tough as leather. This place is not worth your time or money. read more

Not the best Columbian place I've been to, but the better ones are in Tampa. As good as the two in Chicago I used to love. This is Columbian, not Mexican cuisine. I like that my waitress was Colombian and wasn't fluent at English, I'm not really sure why one would expect an authentic Combian restaurant to employ workers based on English fluency. Personally I love the Columbian accent and I prefer restaurants staffed appropriately by the nationality of the cuisine. I mean otherwise, there's Chi- Chis. The bartender spoke fluent American English but he's Mexican American so that was a bit disappointing. The original steak place from the 1970s peaks out on walls but for the most part colorful Columbian decorations and party mood Colombian music blares out a little too loudly making for a fun breakfast. Generous portions, I love the Columbian soup with breakfast. They serve coffee con Leche in soup bowls which is awkward to drink from and it cools off too fast. There is a tiny parking lot for just a couple of vehicles, street parking is a little limited right now due to the street repairs but the food here is worth a walk. read more

The server taking our order was nice enough to bring us extras of dias The steak, chicken, and chorizo were seasoned well! I loved how much meat would got in this plate. The empanadas were also delicious. So crunchy in the outside and juicy on the inside. I personally didn't like the potatoes but the french fries made up for it. We are got ribs and an arepa in our dish. The mojito de maracuya was sooo te good. Definitely had me feeling better after work! They played all kinds of music in spanish. i'll be back for great food and good vibes! read more

I came here with my in-laws to celebrate mine & another's birthday. The place is right but has enough seating. Please note that if you don't have at least one Spanish speaker in your group, you will likely have a tough challenge communicating with the wait staff. This is a very Spanish speaking area. Honestly, this is probably the only thing that is partial reason for it not being a 5* is bc of the challenge to order without a fluent Spanish speaker & service wasn't refilling water for you. Food prices are absolutely phenomenal. Food is absolutely massive portions. I ordered the Arroz Atollado bc it was a great combo & I wanted the rice. Would have rather had extra rice instead of fries but as I said with the lack of English speaking this would likely have been too challenging to ask. For $16 you get absolutely massive portion size. My wife got the breakfast that was available all day, Calenatdo. Portion size was large for just $10. I wasn't a big fan of the pork in the rice & beans bc it is bone in, but the rice, beans, chicken, & egg was all phenomenal. It comes with a hot cocoa & cheese to. My backup selection would have been Cazuela de Frijoles. Ambiance is fun. Birthday dessert was amazing (I mean my wife said it was when we got home she had part of it ) read more

Meh. I was driving past with a buddy and we decided to stop in here. Everything smelled great when we walked in. It was a somewhat warm day, but the AC vent above the entire dining area was on full blast which made the room and food get cold very quickly. We tried two Colombian beers, which were good, but at $7 a piece, seems a bit high. We ordered an appetizer with chicharones and arepa. The Arepa was good, but the chicharones were fried way too hard and were uninspiring. We ordered an entree, Salchipollo, which was a huge serving. The chicken was flavorful, and the fries were good, but the sausage was just cut up hot dog, the corn looked like it came from a can, and the entire dish was covered in way too much mayo. We picked at it a little bit, but I felt like if I ate anymore I'd get sick from all that mayo. We maybe ate 1/3 of the appetizer and 1/6 of the entree and both were disappointed. The service was pretty unattentive, and they automatically add gratuity to the check which I didn't realize until after we left, so we paid $90 for 4 beers, and an unfinished appetizer and barely touched entree. I love to support small business, and was excited to try something new but there's no way I'd come back. read more

I rarely leave reviews, but this visit was frustrating from start to finish. We waited an unreasonably long time just to place our order, and once we did, part of it never showed up. The server didn't speak English, which made it very difficult to communicate--even basic requests like asking for the check were a challenge. We had to ask multiple times just to get it. The food that did arrive was fine, but the service was disorganized and inattentive. We left feeling ignored and disappointed. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. read more

The service at the restaurant was really bad. The staff were not paying attention to us. They were not around when we needed them. The food was not good either. It had flavors that did not taste good. The restaurant wanted us to give them tips, which made us feel like we had to do it. This made the whole experience, at the restaurant not very nice. The service and the food and the tips all of these things made us not want to go to the restaurant anymore. read more

Incredibly authentic! The service is fantastic but mainly speak Spanish. Too many great choices warrants another visit. I recommend the chicharron and anything with beef. The soups are flavorful and filling and they have specials as well as live music on certain days. Had a really great time. Only negative is the pay by the can sodas rather than soft serve with refills but that is common in latino restaurants and by no means would hold me back from a repeat visit. read more

Fiesta Colombia - Cazuela de frijoles, so good enough for 2! - Colombian Near Me - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Today is my birthday. Went to the restaurant based on recommendations. Happen to notice on the site they give free dinner to the birthday person I made reservations and it was 7 of us who went. Minimum was 4 went in there site and got the birthday code to show them. This promotion was from 1-21-25 to 12-31-25. Show them the code and told it ended on last year. Now wait the monitor in the restaurant was advertising the current free birthday dinner. So that's not all they come out and sing happy birthday give a few shits and cake we did not ask for. Yes they put the cake on the bill as well as adding gratuity. Will never go there again. The food was good but no restaurant should lure people using false advertisement read more

Food was very average and most of the staff do not speak English so it is difficult to order. It's also incredibly difficult to park there- tiny parking lot in back. Really wanted to like this from their instagram page but unfortunately cannot recommend. read more

Heard really good things about the food from a couple of friends so gave it a try. Got one of the steak dishes which was prepared well and had good flavor although my fries were cold and chimichurri didn't have hardly any flavor, it was mostly oil. What really made this place underwhelming was the service. I literally sat at the bar for almost 15 minutes before being asked if I'd like a drink or if I was ready to order. Several staff walked passed me including managers but I not one acknowledged me at the bar. Eventually a young man took my order. I'd honestly probably give 2.5 stars if I could based off of the service alone. I'd try the food again but the service definitely turned me off. read more
