Oh how I love this place, there are three Mexican restaurants in town to choose from and this one is the absolute best. Even if I'm on the opposite side of town I'll go out of my way to come here, the staff treat you like family and love to converse with you, you can tell they really do care about their customers and not just the money. They have the BEST sweet tea in Lucedale which is odd but hey I'll take it lol and their chips are so crispy and thick, I hate paper thin chips, and the homemade salsa is the perfect blend of spices. My favorite thing to get is the el combo which is a fried enchilada and fried burrito (your choice of meat) and rice. Highly recommend this place for the food and even just for the company! read more

Wasted another cheat meal.... my husband mentioned that the restaurant never looked very busy and I wish we would have taken that as a hint. ‍As we walked in, we both noted that it smelled really good and as we walked out I told my husband they must be burning a good Mexican food smelling candle or something because it couldn't have been the food we were smelling. The food came quick and was hot and there was a ton of it- but none of it had any flavor. The spanish rice was not spanish rice- but more like a boil in the bag rice maybe. The meat had no flavor. The salsa was like tomato water with a little cilantro and onions floating around in it. I hate giving a place such a negative review; but both my husband and I agree it may have been the worst Mexican food either one of us has ever eaten. On a positive note- they have a "salsa bar" - so that was kind of cool (although the items at the bar were an odd assortment of sauces which seemed out of place; such as yum-yum sauce, cucumbers and cabbage....) The service was fine. The people were friendly. The restaurant seemed neat & tidy. I highly recommend the local Taco Bell if you find yourself in the area and are in the mood for Mexican though. read more

I am from out of state. I saw the reviews and felt like this would at least be decent Mexican food. Well it wasn't. The meat had absolutely no seasoning. Extremely bland. The rice was just ok. It covered over half the plate. There was a tablespoon of guacamole. I talked with the waiter and he just shrugged it off. I spoke with the gentleman who took my card and he did the same. A lady actually took my signed ticket and did seem concerned but very little. I would not recommend this to someone who knows and enjoys Mexican food. I left 90% of it. $18 for 3 bites. read more
