It's a fairly typical Mexican style mainstream restaurant you see these days. Bright décor inside and out. The menus match anywhere you go almost, so how did they do on execution? 1. They have a few Mexican sodas available. I was brought the bottle and a glass, good start. 2. Kids menu is cheap and has a lot of choices, both American and Mexican. Win. 3. My wife ordered a carnitas dish. The meat was generous, fairly lean, tender and tasty. Pork can be hit or miss, so this was a good sign. 4. I stuck to more traditional beef and chicken filled tacos and burritos. Everything tasted good. (The adult entrees were both $9.99 and you left very full.) 5. The chips they brought out to start were fresh, and I did like their salsa. 6. Cleanliness seemed good. 7. Service was good. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, the food is more than ample servings, (we always have leftovers) and the prices are reasonable! Good Mexican joint for a small town. I've been going here for years. Yes, sometimes the service can be less than stellar, but your paying 7 dollars for a buffet of awesome food, so I can get over it really quick. They don't serve alcohol on sundays, but that's ok, margs are only average. Hit them up on Monday for dollar taco night and get like 6 of them and you'll be stuffed. If you are ordering for pick up, call them and head right there, it will be ready. The kitchen can make 4 min rice in 2 mins. Was there last night Aug 18th 2017, the food was delicious like always, but my husband order a 32 oz Budweiser draft, I order a bud light draft. His beer smelled and tasted like vinegar. The manager would not come out to speak to us. We were not looking for anything free, just for the manager to acknowledge the problem. I hope no one gets sick. There was also gnats flying around. My daughter and I stopped here on our way back from vacation. We decided to try the buffet. My 11-year-old informed me that it was not very good after about 5 minutes into her food. I couldn't eat the beef tips - they were just so bad. Everything else seemed mediocre. My daughter's sweet tea had soured. Not just a little sour - but very sour - like it had been there for a few days. The waiter was nice, and friendly. When we were cashing out - the lady had all the cash for the register in her pocket and did not ring anything up. I found that pretty shady. It was about 10 minutes down the road that I realized what I thought was a mediocre meal, was actually awful. I am not one to eat a lot at a buffet, and I did not overeat. I had 2 tacos, and a little bit of the carnitas, but I felt like I was going to vomit for the next 3 hours. read more

Really enjoyed the meal- always do! One suggestion, to have regular temperature water-cooled not ice cold water that is still ice cold even without ice. Unfortunately, I can't drink water that cold and I forgot to bring a water bottle with me. It made eating a tad uncomfortable. I'd asked for tsp water but their suggestion was to mix half hot water and half cold water-cooled which left me with very warm water. I just wanted tap, room temp water. Oh well. The food is made so quickly here that it is always worth the visit. My only issue is that, being a picky eater, my food is always served incorrectly. I often request the removal of certain elements (i. e. cheese), but the message is never delivered properly to the kitchen and I am left trying to remove unwanted condiments and toppings by myself. Even with that problem, I still enjoy the atmosphere and lack of wait for my meal. read more

So, so, so bad. I mean really bad. The service is horrible. When we went the lady who was our server was inattentive and couldn't even answer questions about the menu. Then she got into a fight/disagreement/whatever with what I'm assuming is the manager about her hours for next week. This was right in front of us, by the way. And we were the only people in the restaurant at the time. It was very strange. We ordered the chips and guacamole, and I don't know what it was that they brought out but that was NOT guacamole. It was green and watery with an ultra smooth/slimy texture. I think it might have been salad dressing of some kind. The look of horror on my Mother's face was enough for me. We pushed it away and didn't touch it--the waitress didn't even notice. I got the shrimp diablo and my Mother got the enchiladas. The enchiladas are no kidding filled with a white Velveeta style kind of cheese. It was disgusting. And her plate was dirty with dishwasher baked on crud that was obvious (it was red in color) and still no one in the kitchen noticed. Mine tasted fine until I had a forkful of onions and realized--they hadn't taken the skin off the onion. No joke, that papery thin skin was cooked in with everything else. What chef doesn't know you have to take the skin off the onion first? What PERSON doesn't know that? lol I mean, you don't have to be a chef to know that onion skin is not something you eat. I just moved from San Diego, so I am spoiled on Mexican food. Casa Fiesta is fast, decent, and clean. I got my Mexican fix the other day with an enchilada with rice and beans. After reading most of the bad reviews here, I was a little hesitant about going here, but I went yesterday evening with a couple of friends, and, no regrets. First of all, our waitress was very nice and gave us great service - stopping by the table often to check on us, and offering me a refill on my drink before I even thought to ask for it. They have a great menu with a lot of different options - and I'm vegetarian, so I got their vegetarian fajitas. Wow! Usually with Mexican restaurants in this region, you get the light brown refried beans that are kind of creamy, and you wonder if there's lard in them; but these were darker brown - just the way non-fat (truly vegetarian!) refried beans are supposed to be - and they, as well as the rice and delicious sauteed vegetables - all tasted wonderful. The pricing here is quite reasonable, considering the generous portion sizes. The manager also treated us kindly as he seated us upon arrival, and handled our check on the way out. I've never experienced what Southwest locals call true Mexican food, so I can't comment on that aspect. But for a Mexican restaurant in the Ashland/Wooster area, I really recommend this one first and foremost. read more

For Mexican food in Ohio it's not bad. I grew up in the Southwest and the food is comparable. The service could be better.

The old owners that owned this restaurant did such a great job on the food and the service! This restaurant use to be phenomenal! Not anymore since they have new owners! I came back here to my hometown and told my mother we should eat here bc we use to when I lived here when I was younger for at least 10 years! Service is horrible! Your lucky to get 2 napkins when you ask for extra napkins! Tostada was burnt and it looked like hamburger on A chip! Disgusting! I won't be coming back. Waste of money on frozen food! Also when I asked to order something else for my mother the server was raising her voice at me saying this is what se ordered and this is what she got. She refused to put my 2nd order in so my mother could eat something that wasn't awful! I would have payed for both meals but the server wouldn't put my second meal in! Went here a few weeks ago with some friends. Our waitress was so rude to us that I decided I wouldn't ever return. She argued with us about what we ordered-even though it was on the menu, and my friend asked for sour cream three times and never got it, then we had to fight with her to get it off the bill. I'm typically a very good tipper, even for subpar service, but I couldn't bring myself to tip this girl more than $1. She sat in a booth with a lady and her child (I assume it may have been a friend or sibling) for most of our visit, and my friend had to get up and walk over to her to request more drinks. She never came back to check on us after bringing food and didn't seem to catch on when my friend went over to ask for drinks. Food was alright, but we couldn't get her to bring boxes after we ate. The food was good. But we ordered a top shelf margarita pitcher and it wasn't worth it. It tasted and felt like there wasn't much tequila in it at all. Also, there were gnats everywhere. This was the 2nd time Ive been here. Both times the service was horrible, there were flies and gnats constantly circling our food, and the food looked like they just took a bunch of ingredients and threw it together on a plate and heated it up (well, kinda heated it up). Trying to order was aggrivating. The waitress didnt seem to understand much English, and even with me saying words in Spanish that she didnt seem to understand in English, she still didnt seem to understand what I was asking for. Even the chips and salsa tasted off. A person in our party had a gnat in his drink and I ended up killing one that got stuck in my food after 30 minutes of trying to catch it with 5 other people. My favorite place to eat in Ashland. The chips and salsa are really good. And my favorite dish is the Pollo a la Crema, #67. So yummy. I asked our waitress for a recommendation and she advised me about this delicious dish. It is the only think I've ordered since. My son likes the Seafood Vegetable soup. I'll start off by saying the service is great & friendly. The fajita meal, however, was very salty. I use to order here frequently as Casa Fiesta. Since the name change, the amount of meat you get in comparison to the veggies has been VERY disappointing. I love Mexican and if given a choice in our area, I would hands down pick El Campesino in Wooster. I think this place use to be great. A fajita meal for 2 has the amount of meat you would expect for a individual meal at most other comparable restaurants. Their lunch buffet is by far the best bang for your buck. read more

I have been going to this restaurant since it opened, but in the past few years, we have been dining here less often..with our last visit vowing to not return. The restaurant looks like it could use a good scrub down, dirty ceilings, dirty carpeting, and dirty tables. Last time we dined here, it was not crowded, but we still received slow customer service..don't think we even were given refills. My husband chewed on something hard and discovered a chicken bone. We told the waitress and she just laughed it off without apology. Our food was OK, but finding the chicken bone and lack of customer service definitely soured the experience. read more

Typically not too bad. The salsa is always tasty and the rest of the food is pretty good. Staff is great, the place is pretty clean.
