If you go up and down the long way, you can get a nice 3.5 miles in on this baby with some hills. Throw in a weighted vest, and you're getting yourself a solid light workout. There are already so many reviews, so just some notes: 1) Make your way around the current dump (also a Nassau County gem, seriously) and drive slowly. 2) Parking is tricky at certain times of the day and on weekends. Make sure to come before 9:30 on beautiful days, or else you'll be parking far, far away. More steps, If you really want them I guess. 3) Wear your sunscreen! Skin cancer is no joke, and it's pretty bright up top with not a lot of coverage if you walk around to the lake. 4) Beware...No lights in the bathroom and really not the best place to use the loo. There however is a shopping center close by... 5) Look out of all sorts of critters from birds to bugs.. including ticks.

Came here on a Saturday for my employer's charity softball tournament. Our team played against…read moremany other employers, and this park totally delivered for the occasion! With three softball fields, it's basically built for tournaments and pick-up games. Parking was a breeze--lots right by each field, and since it was after Labor Day, no parking fee (pro tip: fees kick back in on Memorial Day). We set up a BBQ and picnic next to the first field. There are plenty of picnic tables and benches, plus some coal grills. But fair warning: the grills are pretty rough, so if you're serious about grilling, definitely bring your own. The softball area itself is perfect for family gatherings, company outings, or just a fun weekend with friends. Good energy, lots of space, and an easy setup for hanging out while cheering on a game. Can't speak for the rest of the park, but this section is definitely a win.

On Sunday September 22 2024 there was a large car show from 11-4pm.Though some car drivers left earlier there was still plenty to see and hear. The live band at the stage, was good and got people dancing. The variety of cars was large. Food trucks, flea marketers selling their wares perfect weather too. Some visitors brought their dogs. I bought stuff . Tip: bring cash, though some took cards or vemo, when the small amount I had ran out. I got socks, a sign, and a sourdough bread. I would have brought the jams but the woman was busy with another couple, just as well. Overall a nice event and free to visitors. 1 point in fact- gps said east , didn't know where to u turn to go west to get in. I did figure out at the end of the road u turned and got in to parking. I typically go to Seamans neck park to run along the 1.5 mile "walk/run fitness trail". Parts of the concrete path are definitely in need of repair, but overall it's a good path. There are lights along the entire path but the majority of them have not been lit when I've gone at night- only the ones right near the turf field have been on. There's two walk-in entrances and one drive in entrance, and large parking lots- one near the playground and one near the fields/dock. There's a nice view of the water that's directly across from Jones Beach. I've seen people fishing here quite often. There are baseball fields and a t-ball field, soccer fields, and a multipurpose turf field that was completed a few years ago but is still in good condition. There's a large playground that's great for a wide age range of kids. There's a rock splash pad area that probably isn't the safest, I had my fair share of scrapes there. Growing up I used to come to the free summer long programs. They offered a huge variety of sports and crafts. It was usually the highlight of my summer.

What a great experience we had with JK Kayak and SUP. This was our first time kayaking and we…read morewere in great hands with Joe and Connor. The website provided all the information we needed to be prepared for our adventure. Upon arrival, Joe and Connor got us fitted with our safety vests and our kayaks and then gave us lessons on how to use the paddle, get in/out of the kayak and provided general navigation and waterway guidance; from there we were off and loving life! We kayaked in Cold Spring Harbor just behind the lab and had an awesome time. It was so relaxing and quiet as we glided across the water. Joe led us in the front and Connor picked up the rear so we always felt safe and in good hands. Since this was our first time, we opted for a 1hour lesson/tour and Joe told us that most of his customers, at the end of the tour, say they wanted more time. We all felt the same way and can't wait to go back. If you're thinking about kayaking... go for it and definitely do it with JK Kayak & SUP. You won't be disappointed.
