My aunt and uncle used Cris' services for years and he developed an excellent relationship with them, something that wasn't always easy to do, as they could be prickly and difficult. As they got older and more infirm, Cris' expertise and care was increasingly needed, and he was always there for them. Now as trustee of their estate I have negotiated a lot of ground that was unfamiliar to me, with Cris and Anne's help. I have found Cris and Anne to be remarkably honest, diligent and professional. My sense is that not only are they highly skilled and competent in the work they do, they are good people! I live in Maine and have had to travel back and forth to the Monterey area repeatedly because of my trustee responsibilities. In the course of that work, I have met some real scoundrels, and I have also worked with some terrific, trustworthy people. Cris and Anne are solid members of the second group! MY EXPERIENCE I came to Vega Investments when I needed to move quickly. My wife was pregnant, and wanted to live nearer to her family. As a Texas native, I thought Monterey was out of my price range. I was suprised and more than a little shocked when I found Vega. Monterey is the most beautiful place I've ever seen, and I've been around the globe several times. Vega made it possible for me to live here, and spent nights with my young family by the ocean. Vega worked with me, all the way from where I was living in Sacramento (hours away). From that day on, it's been a pleasant experience. I know the landscaper, the office, my neighbors, and even my mailman. There have been a few times when the military messed up the timing of my pay, and it's times like these when I've been grateful for Vega. They understand, and they've worked with me. THE PEOPLE Vega has a few new faces in the office, but I've known most of these people from Day 1 on a first name basis. I should mention that, sadly, my marriage didn't work out. It was a discreet separation, but still hard to go through. At the time, and my wife was a bit spiteful with her comments as she signed herself off of the lease. To their credit, the lovely office staff at Vega took these words with a grain of salt and treated me with kindness. That kindness meant the world to me then, and it still does now. MY APARTMENT Ocean view. Need I say more? Okay, I will. I took a second job on Cannery Row, and was able to WALK to work. That's the first time I've ever been able to do that. I can go jogging by the ocean at Aslimoar or even Pebble every day (ahem... if I... you know... want to). I have a tiny cat, who enjoys sleeping on my daughter's bed in the ocean breeze. I sleep great at night, and the area feels safe (because... it's Monterey). REASONABLE QUESTIONS Internet and cable? Yes. My provider gets great signal. How's the water? No funny taste. Balanced PH. Washer/Dryer? On site. Grocery stores? I got a great spot, near two stores. Parking? Safe and close. The price is great. The people are nice. The location is convenient. I would rent with Vega again if work kept me closer to Monterey.

They don't respect your time…read more They scheduled a 4:30 showing for a unit and there were a few of us waiting to see it. Waited 15 mins, no one's there yet. Called the office number and told them about the situation and she said the person on the way is caught in traffic. Another 15 mins passed, still no one. It may seem like a minor problem but it just feels disrespectful. 30-45 mins of your time just wasted. These are the type of people you would be dealing with, if you choose to work with them. If it was the other way around, e.g. you're late on rent, I'm sure that they would quickly give you a fine.

We contacted her a year before we actually decided to sell, thereby gathering a better feel for what we need to do to help her sell the property. Annette performed a site visit at our home, and we realized that she branched off and developed her own company, which was very exciting. Annette gave us clear and honest guidance on what we would need to do for preparation. A year later, we contacted Annette again to let her know that we were ready to sell the property, and she immediately scheduled another site visit to go over the details. Annette came with her staff and explained exactly what we needed to do to prepare. Annette explained that she would professionally have the windows and house cleaned. Moreover, she provided professional photography and staging of the home. Our house looked brand new when she was ready to advertise. In addition, her 24/7 communication concerning all updates and new news was on spot perfect. Because of her "Above and Beyond" approach, we were able to not only purchase but sell our property with seamless results. Did Annette Boggs meet her motto: Above and Beyond"? Negative 5 Stars for the multiple Mortgage Department employees who couldn't handle my external…read morechecking account number without losing a few of the numbers, over multiple calls for multiple months. The inept, incompetent customer service phone reps in the Mortgage Department here will cost you hours of your time on the phone correcting their mistakes and driving to the nearest branch to make mortgage payments that are mishandled over the phone. You also get emails threatening late payment penalties & fees after their employees mishandle your checking account number. Bank here if you want your finances messed with and time wasted.

Six weeks ago I tried to add my 96-year-old mother as a member, and she was denied membership. NFCU's based their denial on the Patriot Act (terrorism). I filed an appeal and re-applied for my mother to become a member and she was denied a second time. Every time I call NFCU they refuse to talk to me about it. This has been going on for the past six weeks. I wrote a letter to the CEO of NFCU, the National Credit Union Association, and the Department of Housing with regard to the denial was unjustified, discriminatory, and violated the Equal Credit Opportunity Act. My mother was trying to become a member so she could apply for a Home Equity Line of Credit on her home. My mother's home is worth two million dollars, she owes nothing to her home, and she has excellent credit. Yet despite my attempts to reach out to everyone, I have heard nothing. I even tried reaching out to broadcast news to see if they would be interested in airing my story, and so far nothing but crickets. What is ironic is despite their website inviting family members to become members they refused my 96-year-old mother. This is proof we live in one of the most dysfunctional societies of our time with absolutely no accountability to obeying the laws of the land. The next step in this process is Chaos.
