I came here with my two english bulldogs and was immediately greeted by staff who asked if my babies could have a treat. I said of course! Both of my babies ate the treat which is impressive because my other one is a picky eater. I ended up buying those treats which was expensive but I will buy anything my babies will eat. It had limited ingredients which I appreciate and are made locally. The items in the store are super cute. There were toys in the shape of kayaks, egg benedict, burgers, and ice cream cones. Everything is pricey, but hey what do u expect? It's a pet boutique in St. Helena. We have been here several times and will continue to come back. They also have dog clothing, leashes and collars, and some books. If you love your furbabies as much as I love mine and love spoiling the heck out of them, you will love this place. read more

I really wanted to like this place - I have a dog that I love too! I walked in and two young ladies were standing behind the counter. No response when we entered, no hello, no smiles just blank looks. Someone walked in behind us and got the same response - so I walked out not feeling welcomed. Perhaps I'm just older and have expectations that no longer exist. But I like shopping in a welcoming place. I will start off by saying I used to love this store. I was excited to return with some out of town visitors and my golden when the sales team swarmed me....... When I entered the store, I was immediately stormed on by two sales woman who proceeded to follow me around the store commenting on ANY and EVERY item I even glared at. It was so obvious it was all for pushing sales on there over priced products no one buys. At one point my golden was in 15 different harnesses ranging from $50-$500 for no apparent reason other than I walked by the section as I browsed. I ended up getting some treats bc I felt bad having to say no to every sales tactic but it still cost me $18 for a bag of literally 4 treats........WHO BUYS STUFF HERE? Inflation doesnt even start to explain their pricing model at this store. The constant having to say "no thanks" is awkward and annoying when you are casual shopping in between wine tasting. I will NEVER go back inside this store and have spread the word to many dog owners in the area. read more

I don't have a dog but if I did, I'd get stuff from here. They had so many cute and funny things for dogs of all sizes. They also had a dog in the shop, Olive. She was very well behaved and when she was let out of the office, she went over to the dog biscuits and selected the Turkey one. She did this twice that I saw, so those get an endorsement from at least one dog! Salespeople were *not* pushy, which I appreciated. I think the prices might be a little high but maybe not, considering the neighborhood and location. (I am from out of state.) Good place for gifts for your friends who have dogs. read more

Every time we are in a new city, one of the first things I search for is a new pet store! It's pretty much the only place our dogs can walk through freely and enjoy the air conditioning. Even if the dogs aren't with us, I like to stop into different pet stores to buy them treats or check out the toys and clothes. Fideaux was one of few, if not the only, pet store in Downtown St Helena. They have a large selection of collars, leashes, toys, treats, clothes, beds, you name it! But what I liked most about Fideaux was that I've never seen their items at other pet stores before. Many of their items are unique to the shop. I pretty much wanted to buy everything in sight. Bowtie collars, multiple toys, treats, Hawaiian print bandanas, jackets.... but we ended up leaving with two bags of organic treats and a new monkey squeaky toy for the puppy. The staff member running the shop during our visit was very helpful. We were interested in a bag of chicken liver treats, so he introduced us to two brands and explained the ingredients inside, as well as where they were shipped from. Very informative and very friendly with our dogs. He even offered them both treats, as well as water on the back patio, which I'm sure the dogs enjoyed :) Definitely one of the better hometown pet stores I've been to! read more

Driving home from Calistoga, I decided to pop in to Fideaux to get some treats for Willie. Here's the thing, I love it when my mom watches him but she always feeds him turkey and peanut butter as a snack so I need to make sure and win him back with tasty treats as soon as I can. Fideaux is your typical fancy pants pet store featuring $50 leashes and $40 collars but what grabbed my attention were the barrels of snacks. One scoop for $3.25? Yes please! The girl at the counter even let me scoop a little bit more into my bag when she was ringing me up, saying it looked a little light. Once again, I like nice people. So I picked Willie up from his Grandma's and judging by the look on his face and the speed of his tail, the treats weren't needed. But I sure was glad that I had them as backup. read more

Adorable little pet store across from where we ate breakfast. Stopped by because we always get our dog something on our trips. We picked up a super cute bowl for her which also happens to be dishwasher safe! We also bought her some deer chews which was awesome since she's a huge fan of venison. For being a small boutique shop their prices are very reasonable. The staff is friendly and seems to have a relationship with the local dogs who come in to say hello. read more

I think the name "Fideaux" is a slight misnomer for this place. Yes, it has a wide array of absolutely cute things for dogs, but it also has fantastic things for kitties alike! Because of Fideaux, I am kitty collar snob. Whenever we'd head back up to visit family in the area, I'd pick up a collar for our princess (can you tell we have no kids?!?). Disaster. Here we are, far away from home, with buggy dried dog food. Lilly pup only eats Stella and Chewy's, a dessicated meat product that you can crumble then add water, and even then, that may not be good enough. We found Fideaux, the only pet store close to where we were headed. Cute store, but not much merchandise other than glitzy glam stuff. At first, the girl at the counter said she did not have what I needed, and they would have to special order it. Then she hinted they had ONE bag that had been put on hold since August, but never picked up. I did a real song and dance, and told my pitiful story. I was ready to drag Lilly pup into the store to give them the sad, big brown eyes if necessary. She called the owner. Yay. I knew it was meant for me. We accomplished our goal, and were back on the road again. Phew. read more

What could be more fun than a cute little doggie boutique? One with a darling name? Junie and I popped in here the other day while vacationing in St Helena to see about getting some new collars for Gertie and Chupie. We found so much fun stuff! All-natural treats, all manner of toys from soft lovies to durable chews, dog clothes, specialty shampoos and other grooming products and so much more. I wish o could treat my girls to these awesome dog beds they have here, but between the price and having to ship them back to OKC I decided against it. In the end, I didn't end up buying new collars because I didn't see any from my favorite brand, Red Dingo. But it was still a lot of fun to look around for fun stuff for the fur babies! I'll definitely always stop in when I'm in town just to see what they have. read more

It's hard to rate Fideaux because although the store is cute, it's not very different from the vast crop of doggy boutiques. I usually check out the store around Christmas (when my dog needs a present, of course) or peruse for a specific purpose. The selection isn't immense, but you can usually find something that suits your needs: clothing, beds, treats, nic nacks, and even artwork. The people who work here are pretty helpful. My Yelp rating teeters between 3 and 4 stars, but it's the caliber of the service that really made me give them 4. One time I needed a doggy outfit in a different size and they ordered it for me, held it until I could come in (a few weeks), and let me try it on my dog. It's the best service and cutest dog stuff in the area, although it's not cheap! read more

This is a cute store with some clever and different items, but stores like this can quickly get tired and soon disappear. I suppose visiting tourists might pick up that pink glitter collar for Poopsie back home in Tampa, but I gotta wonder who's buying big sacks of expensive dog food in this luxo dog boutique. read more

Fantastic staff & great selection of everything for your pampered little pooches! We were on our trip, relocating from San Diego to Portland, & passing through saw this shop. The name grabbed us right off, & we HAD to stop! Moving to Portland, we figured we better get Baxter a raincoat. Now even though it was 91* that day, the girls in the store brought out coat, after coat, after coat, after coat for little Baxter's fashion show debut! They gave us lots of attention, lots of help & Baxter got lots of love! (How could he not?? Have you seen his picture? He's toooo cute, not that I'm biased!) I love this store, it is such a fun place to shop, as well as look around at the latest and cutest dog and cat items. Such a cute store! We were traveling to the Napa upper-valley area for vacation and brought out dog so OF COURSE we had to check this place out. They have a really great assortment of treats, toys, and supplies for both cats and dogs. Plus they also sell dog wine (non-alcoholic of course). They have their chews and treats laid out in buckets, so we were able to let our dog roam and choose his own snack - very fun! He ended up picking a smoked joint bone that's literally bigger than his head. Of course. It's ok, it ended up keeping him busy all week. So win-win! read more

They had a great variety of gifts from artwork, pet clothing and accessories, greeting cards and unique pet treats (hello catnip infused bubbles and MOSCATO!). Prices were reasonable, especially given that it's in a tourist area. As a cat lover, I typically find that pet gift stores are 99% devoted to dogs and 1% devoted to cats. This is one of my favorite little pet stores. I try to support little places like this. They carry adorable merchandise and have friendly people to help you find what you are looking for. I purchased Bow and Dozer's last few collars from Fideaux so if you like to bling up your fur babies this place has great choices. Some of them are a little over priced but they are a little place and not a huge chain so I don't mind so much. They also have yummy dog treats that are healthy. I'm really into this store, but I have to say that I wish they had more kitty things. I recently went to Fideaux while home visiting the folks + introducing them to their new grand-doggies. There were tons of super cute collars and toys for both dogs and cats. I honestly couldn't shell out $19.95 for a plush stuffed Christmas tree that I know the boys will tear to shreds...but I did find two great camouflage washable collars for pretty reasonable. They also got a bag of Nutter-Butter looking treats--they are SO spoiled! read more

Sydney loves the duck sticks, we drive to St. helena or Healdsburg just to get duck sticks.

I have a super picky American Eskimo puppy, one so picky he doesn't care for peanut butter. What dog doesn't like peanut butter?! Mine, apparently. Super friendly staff, were very friendly with our Remy, told us about all the new treats and offered him water. Very knowledgeable, and not a single bit of attitude despite the fact that we accidentally stayed a bit past closing. A lot of other places have staff that start to get grumbly when you go into their stores without realizing the closing time, but not here. Nabbed some organic liver and veggie treats made locally and an elk antler crown disc for the puppy to gnaw on. He's loving it all, which is great since I'm used to buying him tons of treats and toys he turns his nose up at. Will definitely be back whenever we are in the area :) read more

On July 16, I took Dr. Watson, my Yorkie, to St. Helena expressly to visit Fideaux. We were on a mission to buy him a pearl necklace (yadda, yadda - yes I know Watson is a boy and maybe shouldn't wear pearls). It's the first time we had been in the store and very quickly fell in love with it. Ashley is terrific; warm and friendly and very helpful. She found the right-sized pearl necklace AND two other gorgeous collars that we couldn't resist, plus a hand-painted leash. Ashley gave him some "Etta Says" treats and he went crazy for them. We also bought a ball that sounds like it has a little man inside who SPEAKS every time you move it with your paw. Watson loves it and has lost his voice from barking at it.
