What's great about Debbie's technique is that, while our girl's brows get trimmed back, the beautiful long eyelashes are retained -- that takes some careful trimming! So yeah - you might need to book a few weeks in advance, but it'll be worth the wait!

Heather and her team take the best care of my Maltipoo, London. My pup was a rehome situation and…read moreher early life was challenging. She came to us scared to death at 4 months old. Heather made a plan to gently help London understand and get accustomed to the grooming process. Heather has helped me and my family understand London, her breed, her needs, and tips tricks and hacks that make caring for her at home a breeze. I love that The Bark Side is so on it that they give me London's groom schedule for the whole year so I never have to wonder when her next appointment is or have to keep up with booking it myself. Highly recommend.

She made a scheduling error ( confirmed 10:30 apt. but was actually 8:30. ) She offered to get us in at 12:30 which was going to be difficult for my schedule. Upon me sharing my concerns, she basically responded saying if we didn't show up, we would still have to pay for the apt. I made changes to my schedule and took my dog in. Heather was so condescending when I dropped off and picked up my dog. I left thinking she must just not want my business anymore. As I've read other reviews in here, apparently I'm not the only customer that she is condescending to. And, if she is like that with customers, how is she treating your pet? I'm at peace with my decision to move on.

After arriving, I was pleasantly greeted by Grace and was made feel very welcome. Everyone in the lobby said hello to Sammy and gave him some pets. They explained the process to me and promptly took him back to get groomed. The whole process took around an hour or so, and he came out smelling and looking great! And lastly, the pricing was great! I spent around $100 total for their basic hygiene which includes a bath, nail trim, teeth brushing, and ear cleaning. I also added on a full blow-out as he sheds quite a lot! I felt I got great service for my money and was happy. Overall, I would definitely take your best friend to Scenthound Petaluma. They clearly love their job and are about you are your animal. It's…read moreclearly under corporate control now, and the focus seems to be maximum profit over animal care. My recent visit was a mess: the entire front office was covered in visible mold, the exam room was filthy with dog hair everywhere at 9 a.m. (before any real appointments), and they were severely overbooked with drop-off appointments, leading to long waits and rushed service. They tried to upsell unnecessary services and charge for things that felt pushed just to pad the bill. It's heartbreaking to see what was once a caring local practice turn into this. Corporate greed has completely overshadowed any love for animals. I won't be returning and can't recommend it anymore. Find a truly independent vet who puts pets first.
