We spent over an hour and didn't get to see it all. Some rare finds in this store for sure. Spoke with a gentleman who worked there about bear traps, this that and the other. Very nice, helpful, always checking to see if we needed help. If your into antiques, this place is for you! Very clean store, well kept. The variety was exceptional. Stop by give them a shot you won't be disappointed.

I was excited to return to this little antique mall; there was something had seen around two years ago and was eager to purchase. We make our way from around the courthouse all the way down main and start to head into the store. As we were walking up, a man gets out of a Chevy truck and tells our group (8 people) that they are closing at 5pm. It's 4:43pm so we got time right? We walk in the door and the woman manning the counter tell us we have 5 minutes. Maybe they sold a priceless relic earlier? I know they didn't win the billion dollar lottery! Me either!!!! They closed the downstairs so we couldn't shop; basically followed us around the store making sure we knew the clock was ticking. I finally spoke up addressing the rude behavior by the staffers to the owner/manager type person who got out of the truck. He exclaimed that he had been there since 7am and just wanted to go home. I quipped back if you don't want the business she shouldn't own a business. He told me to mind my own business; what a classy establishment. That item I mentioned above? It was still there! Did I buy it? NOPE. Next time I visit Bandera with a whole bunch of my friends I'll avoid this place like the plague. Horrible ownership and customer service.

It takes awhile to browse this entire store, and the variety of stuff for sale is pretty much what you expect to find. Lots of books, jewelry, vintage linens and lace, framed prints and furniture. Then there is the odd find of an absolutely precious working spinning wheel priced in my opinion way too high at over $300. I took an 18thc spinning wheel to the Antiques Roadshow and the appraiser told me spinning wheels are so plentiful world wide as to be worth only what someone will pay. I would pay $100 for that wheel so I didn't even consider an offer. I found a modern piece of Texas Redware with a yellow glaze misidentified as yellow ware. Yellow ware is made of yellow clay and this was clearly stamped redware on the back. The price was $45 and I asked a woman to contact the seller for a best price. Instead she said 10% was all she could offer. I really would have been looking to pay about $30, but since covid closures I've been less inclined to walk away over 5 or 10 dollars as I'm just glad places have survived at all. Many of the dealers had signs offering 25% and more off whatever they were selling, and sadly nothing I chose was in those booths. My friends, however, found all kinds of finds including in those discounted booths. So we all left happy overall. Of course I left behind that overpriced spinning wheel for someone else who thinks it is worth that price. This shop has really good hours so you can stop in there after other places close on your way out of town. I only get to Texas every few years, but this will stay one of my go to places when I do find myself in the Hill Country.

I always visit when I am back in the area, and today was my second visit in 2 years. Eva was on site and she is always willing to work with you for a sale. She has a nice indoor shop with a good variety of antiques and vintage. She likes to stock quality finds and it shows! Outside are some great yard art offerings and other kitschy stuff. I bought a metal cactus and a rusty roadrunner art piece, both made in Mexico. Eva offered them at 20% off! Those are going to my southwest loving mom back east There are several other buildings with offerings from vintage kitchen items to huge wooden store display pieces. I purchased a Royal Doulton figurine and the price was so good that when I saw this same item later today in another store, I paid 50% less and 75% less at Eva's. A little bisque doll head she gave me at 50%. Years ago I took a furniture item I bought from Eva to the Antiques Roadshow. The Keno brothers assessed its value at just over what Eva priced it so she knows the true value of what she has and she isn't jacking up the price. Eva buys all over the country so she brings the best variety to her Hill Country shop but stays true to the tastes of customers shopping in the Texas Hill Country. If you find yourself on the road to this business, stop in and treat yourself to a unique shopping experience and cool stuff.
