They were out last week to install part that was damaged in shipping. Seems there was more than this part damaged in shipping. It has been installed maybe a month. He told us there was nothing he could do he would call a Generac tech out. When we called him back he said we need to do it. Terrible customer service. They installed a damaged generator, we paid them for it. If it was 6 months down the road I would understand, but it is not.

By the ongoing conversation between me and my husband, after the power outage and restoration took out our emergency generator and several speciality light switches, one of the gentlemen suggested we might be in need of an electrician. I thought he was a Home Depot employee but it turns out he was an electrician apprentice owner working with a licensed, bonded, and insured electrician owner. They came to our home the following day, assessed the damage, gave us an estimate for repairs (the actual bill was, in fact, less than the estimate) and returned in 2 days to fix the problem. Currently our power is out and our generator died on saturday. Called monday morning and the lady yelled at me that they don't know when they can get to me and it's not their fault the generator isn't working. They only service them and I can't expect it to run during an outage of a few days. What is the point then, since that is when I need it most. They then told me they had 150 down generators ahead of me to look at. Why would 150 generators be dead if they were selling and services a good product?
