Based upon the booking screening, it was clear that the company is professional, well-run, and focused. They provide transportation for your pet to and from their boarding stay and even provide daily pictures of your pet via text. We were very happy with the arrangements until, in the middle of our vacation, we were told that our dog had an episode of weakness and was rushed to our vet whose information we provided at booking. Andrew stayed with our pet and transported him to the overnight Emergency vet for observation. Everything turned out fine and Andrew picked up our pet to finish his stay. Andrew went out of his way and not only did everything for our pet that we could have done, but he also kept us informed and comforted. The integrity, compassion, and dedication that PetsAreInn demonstrated during our time of deep concern helped us greatly and made us happy we chose a stay with a family in their home versus in a traditional pet kennel. Two of our three cats have special needs - one a 17 year old cat on special kidney diet, and one on a high-fiber diet and Miralax - so I was really worried. Especially since the third cat will happily eat EVERYTHING while the first two shouldn't eat each other's food. The daily reports and photos were a continual reassurance and when I expressed concern about one cat's behavior that day (Hiding under the bed...something he NEVER does unless ill) they immediately quarantined him and made sure he was getting all of his food and medicine without the other cats interfering - they even moved his cat tower into the bedroom because they noticed he normally slept on it and wanted him comfortable in his solitary confinement. Problem solved, they put everything back and let the cat back out when he showed signs he was ok. They even brought in some packages that were unexpectedly delivered in our absence. At that time, Clarabell, our coonhound mix who was supposed to be a beagle-pointer mix...was 3-4 months old, high energy, car anxiety and sickness, already 50+ pounds of pure muscle, strong will and even stronger vocal cords. I couldn't control her on the leash or keep her from jumping on people - so she wasn't getting the exercise, stimulation or socialization she needed. I couldn't leave her alone for a moment or take her in a car. Cages and closed rooms caused even worse anxiety and distress. Rehoming was not an option. Medication (for me :) and) her would be a last resort. I was at my wits end and I knew I needed professional help but my financial limitations due to medical issues/expenses made finding it a huge challenge. I sought recommendations and searched multiple social media platforms, search engines - until I found and reached out to Jessica and my gut knew immediately that she was the one who would and could help me to help and love Calarabell the way she deserves and needs. And I was absolutely right. Jessica is a person and dog whisperer. She is endlessly and unshakeably calm, collected, even toned, knowledgeable, reliable, communicative and quick to assess, address and manage any fur baby and fur owner's challenges. She accomodates in every way - from work schedules to circumstances or behavours that require off-site or odd hour corrective activities and processes. She does it all with a level head, a pure and kind heart, an unmatched natural talent and learned skill sets. The evidence is in the results. Clarabell is now 1.8 months old, 85 lbs. and 5'5" standing. Walking her is now a good experience. Car rides get easier and easier. She can be home alone for hours at a time. She rarely jumps up on people..and truly there are only challenges when my husband and I don't do the things Jessica has shown us to do. Clarabell is a sweet and happy girl. Jessica stays with her when we go away ( another superb service she offers). I am forever indebted to her and she is the only canine behaviourist I will ever recommend.
