After more than a year, Ross Mill Farm has finally reopened! COVID guidelines are being enforced,…read moreyou cannot walk around the place on your own like before. Instead, tours will be given. However, they are not available/given every weekend, so make sure to call beforehand. The maximum group size cannot exceed six people. And the requested payment is $50/group. Keep in mind the farm is a non-profit organization, and they have been closed over a year, so your $50 would really go a long way in helping support their efforts. Our group of three followed Susan, the founder, who gave us an in-depth tour of the farm. Even though we've been there a few times already, we were learning so much about the different types of pigs, and the farm's history. We were allowed to pet the pigs, but only the ones specified by Susan, as some pigs are just not as friendly and could bite. The whole tour lasted an hour-ish. Towards the end of the tour, Susan let us play with the smaller pigs in the larger pen for a good amount of time which we all loved. Looking forward to our next visit, and upcoming events in the future!

Ross Mill Farm has been a secret haven since originally started before the Revolutionary War in 1740. The lane is narrow and full of dips and rough riding, but so very worth the effort to find, especially if you love adaptive reuse of an historic property turned into a rescue home and boarding facility exclusively for Vietnamese Pot Belly Pigs. 180+ residents live there now, either from broken homes or as paying customers, housed there because it is simply the best place on the planet for happy, healthy PBPs. The 30 acres are idyllic for humans, too, but the facilities are designed by the owner from the perspective of an intelligent animal that stands little more that 18 inches from the ground. To truly interact with the residents you really have to get down on your knees, because these cuties lack the ability to look up at you. So, the world is very short, but expansive at Ross Mill Farm. The green lawns and gardens are perfectly suited for a pig. And, for people who love them. This amazing patch of heaven on the Little Neshaminy Creek is as magic as you want it to be. I found it easy to get lost in the peaceful magic of the moment. Make a donation and help it last forever.

Mark and his team truly moved mountains with our three year old lab during his stay. The progress he has made exceeded our expectations. Mark takes his work very seriously and is genuinely committed to helping both dogs and their owners succeed. We are extremely grateful for all of their hard work, dedication, and support! Highly recommend Mark and his team! Money well spent! :)

After our ordeal, I…read morereported them to the dog warden who based on our photos, timeline, and our dog's vet record said it warranted an investigation. She reported that when they went there for an unannounced investigation, everything was to code so at that point, there wasn't much more we could do. I'm just glad that they took it serious enough to look into. As I had mentioned in my original post, which you can read below, the owners will try to twist things and put the blame back on the dog's owners. From my post on Nextdoor (if you live in Buck County, you can look up my name on Nextdoor to see the post from 2 years ago and read through the many responses of people sharing their shocking experiences with Holiday House), I have since learned that lack of care - to say the least - is not atypical. People posted about wrong dogs being returned, dogs coming back traumatized, dogs being returned extremely ill, and even one poster sharing that their dog died in while being boarded there. If you care for your pet, do not use this place. It's been a couple of years since our horrible experience boarding our dog there, and to this day, we are all still scarred by it and the memory of what our dog looked like when we picked her up, the thousands of dollars we spent to get her heatlhy, and her health issues she suffered from because of their lack of care for her basic well being. Also, our credit card company even reimbursed us for the fees we paid to Holiday House - again based on photos, timeline and medical records from out vet. They agreed that Holiday House did not provide the care they promised us.

I have been there for numerous (far too numerous, in my opinion) staffing and managerial changes ( at current count, 9 managers, and my current dogs have been there for 9.5 years). While I understand that people come and go, if this kind of turnover happened in a Pre-school or daycare situation, parents would be raising the roof. The loss of the current manager and her predecessor, so close together (within 2 seeks of each other) is setting alarm bells ringing. They were wonderful. The dogs were well cared for, they had ample play time, group play was longer than just a couple hours, the center was immaculate, and the staff was there long enough to learn names and faces. Now the management has changed yet again, trusted people are gone and staff is low, which means dogs will not get the exercise or care they need. Transparency is all but gone. Needless to say, this makes me very sad, and we will not be going back.

Jenny came to my family highly recommended by my aunt and it was the best decision we have ever made using Faithful Friends. To speak to the extent Jenny goes and her genuine love and willingness to take care of her "clients", our older pup is about 7 and has always been incredibly anxious particularly during thunderstorms. While we were in Florida this past week, a huge storm came through and not only did Jenny make sure to monitor its progress to ensure our pup got his anxiety medicine in time for relief but when the power went out, she went out of her way and far past the time she was paid for to bring over battery powered lights and set them up around our home to get the animals through the power outage most comfortably. She sat with both our dogs for a while giving them lots of love before heading home to her own family sending pictures and updates the entire time. I can not say with more certainty that my experience was incredible and our family LOVES Faithful Friends Pet Care and will continue to utilize their services in the future
