They told us about their walk up window for french fries that rival McDonald's. Of course we had to check it out. They were spot on with their suggestion. On this side street is a high up unexpected window with the most fantastic guy with his head poking out. He was so friendly and fun. My friend who is tall had to stand on her tippy toes to order. So fun! We got our fries and sat at a little cafe table to enjoy. The advice was sooo true!! We sat in the dark, enjoying our piping hot, generously sized order. They also have a little kitchen window serving up burgers and fries--the food is honestly SO good, especially after a few drinks. ​The only real downside is that the sound engineering isn't the best. The audio bounces off the walls a lot, so I definitely recommend bringing earplugs to block out that extra echo. He was so nice and funny and made some really good espresso martinis for my sister and I. The ambiance was so nice inside. I loved seeing the different vinyls on the wall that made up the decor. We were back again Saturday night to see The Fab Four Beatles tribute, and what an absolutely incredible show. It also reminded me just how much we love this venue. The Charleston Music Hall is such a great place to see a concert or show. It has that beautiful historic Charleston character, the atmosphere is fantastic, and one of the things I really love is that there honestly doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the house. The views are great from the main floor as well as the balcony, and the size of the venue makes everything feel much more intimate than going to a huge arena. We've attended several different events here over the years, and it's always been a great experience. They bring in an awesome variety of bands, tribute acts, comedians, shows and other entertainment, so it's definitely worth keeping an eye on their calendar. Another huge plus is the location. You're right in downtown Charleston and surrounded by some of the best restaurants, pubs and bars in the city, so it's incredibly easy to turn a show into an entire night out. Grab dinner beforehand, enjoy the show, then walk somewhere nearby afterward for a drink -- which is exactly what we love doing! Our night seeing The Fab Four was another perfect example. Fantastic seats, an incredible performance and a great atmosphere from beginning to end. If you live in Charleston or you're visiting and see something on the schedule that interests you, GO! This is one of those venues that really adds something special to the experience. Five stars and three thumbs up from us! If you pass the box office and go right and head outside you will see a lovely courtyard where you can buy drinks and snacks. But please note, water is the only drink you're allowed to take inside the theatre.! Inside the theater, the seats were ok, but you can't expect extra comfort since I'm sure they can only do so much to improve due to its historic status. I even thought the bathroom signs were cute lol! I highly recommend checking out the theater if you are in town!
