From the moment you check in with Ashley at the front desk to the care you receive from Morgan and Anna, you feel welcomed, supported, and most importantly seen. I have alopecia areata, and as a woman, losing my hair was devastating. I cried many tears over the years, but then, out of nowhere, my hair started sprouting back. It felt like God was saying, "Here, take this," and I wasn't about to question it! That's when I found Dr. Ip through a referral, and let me tell you it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. She evaluated me with such care and expertise, starting me on a treatment plan tailored to my needs. We began with topical treatments, added excimer therapy after a few months, and incorporated steroid shots every 6-8 weeks. No two treatment plans are the same, but I am living proof that Dr. Ip's hands have been blessed by God! Beyond the top-tier care, what I love about Vibrant Dermatology is that they never push products on you. They make thoughtful recommendations, and you have the freedom to say yes or no (trust me, I've done both!). If you're looking for a dermatologist who truly cares, give Dr. Ip a try, and be sure to tell her that Shaleah, her favorite Alopecian, sent you! I mean, I must be her fave, right? Lol.

Dr. Ip (when you can see her) is surely a talented dermatologist. However, if you are looking for…read moregreat customer service and patient care, you will not find it at Vibrant Dermatology. Often I was treated with condescension and made to feel like it was just about the money with the Dr. and her staff. Dr. Ip responded in bad faith with regard to several insurance claims (claims that were eventually paid out to the Dr by my insurance). With so many talented dermatologist in the Boston- Metro area, I was colossally disappointed that this office and staff lacked the professionalism and attention to patient concerns I've come to expect with all of my medical providers. If you want a provider that prioritizes dollars and notoriety over patient care and satisfaction... then Dr. Ip and her staff are the folks for you. If you are seeking great customer care and service; find another provider.

I'm honestly not someone who usually writes reviews, but my experience with Marisa has been so…read moreimpactful that I felt like I had to share. I drive over an hour each way to see her and it's been so worth it. I originally went to see Marisa for extreme anxiety and ongoing sleep issues, after trying what felt like every modality out there: somatic exercises, journaling, therapy, BIT, meditation, breath-work...you name it. While many of those helped in their own ways, nothing truly moved the needle for me the way hypnoacupuncture with Marisa has. From my very first session, there was an obvious shift. Even the people around me noticed. After that first session, the tension in my shoulders decreased, and the only way I can describe it is that everything (physically & mentally) felt like it had been taken down a notch. Since working with her, my sleep has completely transformed. I went from having an extremely hard time falling asleep and waking up almost every hour, to now pretty much sleeping through the night. If I do wake up, I can fall back asleep easily, and I'm even dreaming a lot which I take as a sign I'm finally getting deep, restful sleep. I've seen such drastic improvements that I genuinely feel like I have a new baseline. I feel so much more in control of my anxiety now and honestly like a completely different person than I was just a few months ago. It's been truly life changing. I honestly wish I could see her weekly. The closest way I can describe how you feel leaving a session is like you just had a massage; you're so relaxed, grounded, and at ease. Marisa has truly touched my life. She is genuinely an angel. She listens, she cares deeply, and she is incredibly dedicated to her clients. If she doesn't have an answer right away, she always follows up, whether by email or the next time you see her, which says so much about the level of thought and attention she gives. I don't feel comfortable around many people, but there's something about her energy that is so light and reassuring. She creates such a safe, welcoming environment, and it makes all the difference. I'm so grateful to have found her and truly can't recommend her enough.

The practice is busy in both locations, however everyone provides excellent care and follow up.

Before writing this review, I looked at other reviews for the Milton and Framingham offices of…read moreGreater Boston Urology and noticed many people had experiences similar to mine. What I went through with Dr. Johnson was extremely distressing and left me feeling unheard, dismissed, and deeply stressed. From my very first appointment, something about Dr. Johnson's manner felt off to me. She came across as robotic, detached, and very hard to connect with. Still, I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt and assumed that even if we didn't "click," she might still be a competent doctor. Unfortunately, my later appointments proved otherwise. A few visits in, I requested a Pap smear even though I wasn't technically due for one. I have metastatic cancer, my tumor markers were rising, and I wanted to be proactive. I explained this on the phone, was put on hold, and then told I could be scheduled for a Pap smear. Shortly after I arrived at my appointment, they brought me in the back, and automatically took a urine sample and performed a bladder scan--even though I did not have any urinary issues. I thought it was odd but allowed it anyway. Dr. Johnson came in with her usual distant manner. She didn't explain the exam in much detail but performed what I believed was a Pap smear. Before she left, she told me I would have my results within 24 hours. Twenty-four hours passed, and nothing appeared--not even a pending test in the Quest system. Days went by, still nothing. So I called the office and let the receptionist know that it seems no test had ever been submitted. She said she would look into it. The next morning, I received an email from Quest saying my results were ready. To my shock, the tests were for serious sexually transmitted diseases--tests I never requested, never discussed, and never consented to. I have not been sexually active in over 15 years. I was extremely upset and immediately called the office. It was a Saturday so I asked the answering service to have Dr. Johnson paged. When I spoke to Dr. Johnson, she initially said she didn't remember me and had to review my chart. When she called back, I told her I wanted the tests removed from Quest since I had not authorized them. Instead of apologizing or explaining what happened, she told me the call "wasn't very therapeutic" and hung up on me. Since then, I have been stuck in an exhausting back-and-forth. The office manager originally told me removing the tests would be no problem. But when I called again to follow up, I discovered the office had blocked my number and stopped responding to portal messages entirely. All of this has caused an enormous amount of stress and anxiety during an already difficult time--I am dealing with cancer and autoimmune disease, and the last thing I needed was this. What makes it worse is that Quest informed me that a simple phone call from the doctor would allow the results to be retracted. Yet that has still not been done. Between the repeated bladder tests I've never needed and the unauthorized testing, I can only describe my experience as feeling like the office is disorganized at best, and at worst more focused on billing than on patient care. When I reached out to Elaine in the client compliance department at US Urology Partners--whose job is supposed to be patient advocacy--I was met with the same lack of concern. Overall, dealing with Dr. Johnson and the Greater Boston Urology office has been one of the most frustrating and distressing medical experiences I've ever had. Nothing about it has felt therapeutic, supportive, or respectful. I truly hope no one else has to go through what I've gone through -- and what I'm still dealing with. What makes it even more painful is feeling that Dr. Johnson's ego prevents her from seeing past herself. From my perspective, she showed no real care for me as her patient; it felt like she did whatever she wanted to do, no matter what I needed, asked for, or clearly expressed. In my opinion, her behavior toward me was deeply concerning, and it left me feeling that she was clearly not acting in my best interest.
